Skin Treatments Scar Healing Tips
So on June 19th I accidentally injured myself with a box cutter breaking down boxes. The ER put 17 stitches that I left in for 14 days (under medical advice/care).
I have kept it completely out of the sun and covered with a layer of aquaphor (I’m allergic to Neosporin) during that time.
I’m looking for advice and tips on how to make this heal better.
I just started silicone scar tape now that the wound finally closed, but I’m unsure if that’s working at all.
I know to keep it out of the sun and it will take time, but what else can I do to be more proactive?
Thanks in advance!!
