Thanks for the input on Community Input: Vendor Posts : r/300zx . I'll update the rules and let vendors that ask know that we'll allow occasional posts (ie: every 1-2 months) from vendors that produce products specifically for the Z31 and Z32.
In other news, please just be nice to each other. We have 2 rules, and this is one of them. I've had to review and remove more posts in the last month than probably the last 3-4 years. You're allowed to have a different opinion. You're allowed to not like someone's car and express that. But do it respectfully. There's no need for name calling. Don't like what someone said? Downvote and walk away. Or block them. I'm not here to babysit. If you want to talk shit and insult each other, I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of toxic Facebook groups for that.
I'd like to keep this community as positive and supporting one where anyone can show their car, ask for help or give a suggestion. If you're just here to talk shit and be an ass, we don't need you.

So my z32 was driving normally then one day on nuetral it just started idling around 2000rpm unless I unplugged my IAC Valve but the IAC is brand new? Other times during the driving it’ll bog a bit on first, other times instead of having a high ass idle it starts to almost choke and the RPMs drop to under 600, Then I figured maybe it’s a a fuse for whatever reason but I doubt.. any ideas what it could be ?

Gonna go look at one tonight, it’s $5k CAD, 128,000km
Z31
Has ignition cylinder problem, no ac and needs new muffler.
Super clean, was clearly taken care of by all 3 owners and doesn’t look like anyone beat it up. All stock.
Would be a daily for my girlfriend once she gets comfortable with it. Till then she’d take my Matrix while I daily the 300.
I’m reasonably good with working on cars, and have mechanic friends. Don’t know much about this era of Nissans other than that they look sick and my dad used to have a 300zx turbo.
What would common problems be? Things to look out for? Are they a pain the ass for parts? Hard to work on? Give me all advice and feedback!

I have a spreadsheet for everything I have dropped into my Z31from paint/bodywork, custom wheels, suspension, dyno tuning to zinc plated bolts. Man, everything really adds up when you document it all. How much have you all invested in your Z31's and Z32's?

Looking for an automatic transmission mount I’ve got an 88 z31 and I ordered the mount from apex engineered but it only fits the manual. Hmu and I can take care of shipping if needed, located in Oregon.
Hello, have you ever tried to print various small parts for a car? Both from hard and soft plastic. Does anyone know of a website where you can find files for printing various parts?

Here the First Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/300zx/s/mRGk5W5TeK
And Here a Trouble shoot i used :
http://www.xenonzcar.com/z31/SENSORS/cas.php
So after some measuring, my Car failed at the 3rd Test Out of all 4.
now my questions are
Could it now really only be the crank angle Sensor in the Distributor OR defect in the wiring harness
I checked the upper half of the fusible links plugs and cables they all tested good.
3.if it hopefully (?) (i don't know If it would be the best Case) is the crank angle Sensor can i Switch it Out in the Car because my books Tell me to get the Distributor Out.
but it wouldnt be possible right now with what Tools i have
Here some Pics idk haha:
Hello fellow Z enthusiasts. I’ve come here to solve this very obscure problem with my dad’s 1990 NA 300ZX (keep that year in mind for a minute). If you couldn’t already tell by the photos, this car is in fact a slick top. And if you know anything about the Z’s (NA in this case), you know the slick top didn’t come out til 1991. So it leaves me wondering what the deal is with this car. There’s no visible cuts in the headliner so I don’t suspect the roof has been tampered with, but the fact that this is an early 1990 model too (03/90) it leaves me even more confused as to how this thing rolled off the assembly line with a slick top?
So here I am asking for any clues, opinions, or thoughts on this. Is this just a unicorn? Has the car been tampered with before (hasn’t to our knowledge but you never know), it’s genuinely the biggest mystery right now. On top of all this, how many of these could possibly exist? What would be the estimated value on this?
Thank you in advanced enthusiasts for any support and ideas you may come up with!

Had a busted up s13 bumper and an idea while drinking. Needs a bunch of work to make it look decent but nothing that is hard, just time consuming. Next are the side skirts!

So I pulled the engine and transmission on a 91 TT z32, I had someone helping me pull it and in doing so they said to cut the vacuum lines and hoses as theyre being replaced anyway. One of the "hoses" that was cut appears to have actually been a wire and now im struggling to identify what it is, I was hoping someone here would have an answer for me. tyia
Info on the wire: its a single wire that had a shielding on it making it look like a vacuum hose, black insulation on it and its located near the center of the intake manifold but on the driver's side.

Got the car missing a lot of the headlight area. I replaced the actual headlights, and am left with these holes/cracks on both sides. Is there supposed to be a liner of some sort that I am missing? The other side is more or less the same but with a bit of a gap that I assume is just a body issue.
I honestly would just like a photo of what this area is supposed to look like, or if someone knows the parts I would need to clean this area up.

Has anyone used something like the JXB center support carrier upgrade? Is there a decent quality OEM replacement option that’s proven, or is everyone mostly just going to a one piece driveshaft? Ideally I’d prefer to keep using this driveshaft for the time being if I can.
