Time to post your submissions for ride of the month!
The winner will be picked on or around the first of next month and your car will be featured in the sidebar for that month.
Post one or multiple pictures of your s-chassis in this tread and vote on your favorite submission. Also, please make them actual image links, not just a link to your Instagram, but feel free to link your Instagram as well if you want.
If you post multiple pics, please indicate which one you'd like to be featured if you win. If you don't, I'll pick one myself. Post a build list too if you'd like.
Also just as an fyi, I'm using the new reddit layout to post the winner in the sidebar because its much easier than the way I used to do it using the old layout in case anyone is still using that and wondering why the current winner isn't showing up.
Good luck!
Current winner: /u/

Hello schassis friends!
I am fully restoring my S13 and using the PDF to search things quickly became very tedious, so since my day job is computers, I thought I wanted to give back to the community, so I have been building an online workshop manual based of the ks13 200sx (european) CA18det workshop manual, completely for free!
It's still a very work in progress and I want to take it much further, but give it a look and give me your feedback: https://s13.sucatisse.com/
I want to get around to adding the KA24 and the SR20 engine to support our fellow American and Japanese friends, as well as the Coupe alternatives. But I also have been adding other car models since I have been getting a lot of friends asking me to make one for their car.
If you enjoy what I do a donation will help me continue this work since I don't intend to monetize this and I personally hate websites filled with advertisements, but again this is optional.

Hello all, I just recently purchased a running, driving, stopping 1993 240SX S13 Hatch Manual that was swapped with a 1995 KA24DE from an S14. I've had no odd issues or leaks or anything, and it's been great so far keeping up with maintenance.
Recently, I noticed that the Check Engine Light, or really any of the notification lights, don't turn on when they should to show functionality at startup. Because of this, I wanted to take a look at the ECU. Lo and behold, the previous owner kept the engine OBD-II, but seemingly kept the original OBD-I interior harness. There's also this black box labelled with "Amenity" and marked as well with "made in the U.S.A" No idea what this is, but there's definitely some jankery afoot. Does anyone know or have a guess at what this box is? How big of a hole am I in in terms of getting a functional CEL? Where might my OBD-II diagnostic port be?
Any and all insight would be appreciated!

I want to get into JDM, and am thinking about purchasing a notchback S13, what are the pros and cons? Which model of the S13 should I purchase? I plan on making it a long term project, including installing a body kit, changing the engine, etc.

I just picked up a set of OEM 180SX Kouki tail lights (tails only) for a steal locally. I’m looking at pairing them with the J Replace Type X center light.
Has anyone here run this setup? How’s the fitment compared to OEM? Do the center light and garnish line up well with genuine Kouki tail lights, or is there a noticeable gap or mismatch? Any pictures would be appreciated.

Reviewing the options, it doesn’t seem there is a non-track version of a full replacement harness that encompasses all comforts like AC, Radio, original stalks, etc.
Anyone know if this is available? Removing mine and a lot of clips were brittle and broke. Is this a depin/replace and relocate situation as I’d like to clean things up.

Any recommendations on tuners for remote tuning my KA-T? It’s on a haltech nexus s2.

Can someone tell me what specs will fit my type X body with rolled fenders, coilovers and s14 hub conversion.
I want to run 18s with a flush right fitment. I don’t mind some negative camber and stretched tyres.
My calculations gave me;
18x8.5 +18 fronts
18x9.5 +18 rears
Here is an update on the digital dashboard that I have been working on. This is not the final version and probably a lot is going to change on the UI.
I used the oem cluster-housing for the screen, which is mounted on to a polycarbonate plate.
I had to make my own code for the Arduino that catches the signals from the cars sensors and sends them to Rasperry pi. Also the ugly UI is selfmade because I didn’t want to use anything like tunerdash due to me being cheap and this working better for my purposes. (Yea I’m going to make it more visually attractive.)
I had to calibrate the temp and fuel signals but that wasn’t hard at all, just took voltage and resistance at different temps / fuel level.
The temp and gauge signals have +5V (and resistor) going to the signal wire to boost it and then it goes into the Arduinos analog side.
The digital signals like rpm and speed are a little bit more challenging but nothing crazy hard. Arduino catches them from the digital side.
I’m thinking about making a youtube video about this project, if anyone is interested building one themselves. It would have saved a lot of time for me, if I had some guide to follow.
Anyways, I’ll post something about the final final version and any questions are welcome!!

Call me stupid but I bought a vertex wheel from a buddy not knowing it was for non hicas, the wheel won’t fit, is there a way around this? He showed me on his car (it was completely stripped but still had the steering Column) and it doesn’t need a hub adapter but is there a way to remove this shit so the wheel could fit any advice would be amazing thanks.

Anybody had any experience with them? Have an ECU that I’m pretty sure is the reason why my fuel pump won’t work as intended. Thinking repairing the one I have might be a better option than trying to get a new one that might not be good and still having to get it reflashed by rs enthalpy

Heya!
So just got my s13 with ca18det dynotuned, got maxxecu race installed and tuner squeezed out 360hp at engine. He said there is a problem coil at cylinder two is coming and going... He changed the sparkplugs but that was not the issue.
Any recommendations wich coilspack i should get? Is it worth going for like say audi r8 coils, since i now got maxxecu, or should i stick with oem or other brand?
Does the car need to be dyno tuned again if i go for other brand coils?
Could there be another problem that is causing cylinder two to come and go? Engine is newbuildt...

Bit of an odd post but I’d love to see some of your roadside maintenance trunk kit solutions, mines a bit big though. Id love to find something similar to downsize and save space!

All hot side work is complete, and wiring pretty much done. Nearly ready for a tune. Can't wait to start it up for the first time. Still lots to do and money to spend.... but getting there

I replaced my headlight switch a short while ago because the right high beam was not working and the stock was really faded.
But after having to jump start the car a few times in the last week i figured out that the right high beam intermittently turns on when the car is off. After checking, i also noticed the left high beam does not work at all.
Im guessing this is due to the contacts in the switch either coming loose or shorting somehow. But i just have no idea how this would happen on a brand new switch???
You guys think this was just a case of a crappy new part or theres some other electrical gremlins causing this?

Anybody know what kind of side skirts these are on my old s14? for the longest time I assumed they were navan style but looking at them they seem like they have more flair than the standard navan style
