I don't know if they even still do this but we did in 9th grade science in 1978.
It really grossed me out to be honest. The feel of the frog, the smell...

We had a love seat in the same pattern and colored material, minus the wood! But I knew a heck of a lot of people who had that EXACT set!!

Going through an old box I hadn’t opened in years and ran across this flashback. I’m betting my dad had a pack of lucky’s in that shirt pocket

It's an antenna control box. Used to adjust tv reception from the roof. I always thought that it was to turn your lights on if you weren't home.

Because complaining about government regulations was just as common 50-years ago.

I used to build crazy ramps and jump anything I could launch my bike over. Wrecked a dozen bikes and banged myself up constantly. I’ll never forget when my dad took me to Madison Square Garden to watch him jump snake river on a gigantic screen live. Anyone else love to watch him jump as a kid?

Making tonight’s dinner as I type this.

Our slides were metal, and if you were lucky they didn't have any jagged pieces sticking out, you just burned your butt in the summer. The monkey bars were pretty high, or shaped in a half dome, and there wasn't any soft landings, the teeter-totter was usually weather-worn wood with splinters ready to attack you, the merry go-round you hoped a bigger kid wasn't turning it or you went flying, the swing chains pinched your thighs...I never got badly hurt but I always came home with cuts, bruises, splinters and burns.
