Knew I was going to be packing boxes at work today and decided to bring my PSP and watch Charlies Angel's. I love that this thing still works flawlessly.

From what I saw in the livestream, the FX5 looks a bit more professional, more like a cinema camera, similar to the FX6 in terms of the body design and settings.
I really like the resolution and the fact that it supports 14-bit, but I still feel like I’d end up buying the FX3 instead of the FX5.

What do you think?

Fellow Sony users, can you please confirm: do you see white patches on your Sony Bravia 9 TV? It is really bad when watching any dark scenes, menu screens and navigation between videos. This can't be normal, right? I contacted support but they kept pointing me to their support article. I am not getting anywhere. Just purchased this as an open-box Sony Bravia 9 85" from Best Buy.

I’m plugging my camera into an external monitor and whilst I can see what I’m filming, I can’t see the battery level, recording status, etc on the monitor. As the camera is elevated on a telescopic mast, it would be very helpful to see these. What settings can I stick to get a direct replica of the LCD screen onto the monitor?

For the last couple of years, when cameras like the Lumix S1II and Nikon zr launched, all Sony users were heard saying was:

"No need for raw, H.265 is enough, and nobody can tell the difference after uploading to YouTube or Instagram. And why do you need to change ISO and white balance? Don't you know how to set white balance?"

"32-bit is overrated, and if you're a professional, don't you know how to set up audio?"

"A higher resolution sensor is not needed for cropping; you should learn how to frame in-camera."

"A bigger display is not that important; anyway, you will use an external monitor."

"Raw 12-bit is not necessary; why do you need 12-bit? 10-bit is already enough," etc., etc.

Sony users now, after the FX5 was released:

"OMG, Sony raw is amazing!"

"16-bit raw, wow, such an upgrade over 12-bit raw!"

"Higher resolution sensor, wow, such an upgrade!"

"Open gate, wow, Sony is innovating; open gate is a must!"

"32-bit audio, Sony rules!"

"The display is so good!"

Meanwhile, the thing costs 5 grand for the body alone.

And when you mention the $5k price tag, they will say, "The camera will pay for itself!"

Seriously, just shoot with what you have; all cameras are amazing, and the FX5 is incredible too. But stop hating on other brands and shoot with what you have.

The batter even holds a charge days after charging it! It has audio but it is scratchy in and out. Google says so can clean it with electric contact cleaner. Any recommendations?

Have had a really bad time with the Sony service lately and I’ve been a long-time, consistent paying user. Been trying to get a refund for a game and the chat bot hasn’t worked for two days and i’m calling them tomorrow. I want some sort of compensation as it has took up a huge chunk of my time. Hello everyone

So while I was browsing with my Sony inzone m10s I (the first one released), this monitor just turned off, and i tried to press the power button, unplug and plug the power cable, holding the power button for 30 seconds, nothing works or even turns on.

I’ve tested my pc with a different monitor with the same DisplayPort that came with the Sony monitor and that other monitor works and the pc works.

I believe it’s a power issue since it won’t turn on at all and I did test the plugs, with my pc and it’s running fine.

I wanted to ask if you guys have any similar issues or if there are other trouble shooting tips before I try to do warranty or buy a replacement Sony power supply to see if it’s the power supply that’s bricked.

I've had this reciever for 26 years. Yesterday when it connected to my input ,it made a bang noise and when into PROTECTOR mode, closed it ,opened it again and it was fine. Today I open it for some am station hunting and after about 4-5 minutes it went in PROTECTOR

mode, i did the same (close it reopen it) as soon as the ready click went off, I got the PROTECTOR message.

What do I do?

(I've checked the speaker wires (+ and -) and ensured they are not touching)

I received this phone in the mail and bought a new SIM card today. I live in Sweden, the sim card company is comviq. I did not do any prior research on this phone nor how to set up an intelligent (?) brick phone in today's day n age. 3G is no longer used in Sweden as far as I know, which makes the setting up of internet and WiFi is confusing. I also can't make a call or send an sms.

Here are some pictures of what Im seeing/ what I have done. Is there something I need to do in order to use the phone at its full capacity? I need it as a business phone, I need at least for the calling and sms to work.

I’ve owned several pairs, they’ve all had problems. For a while all sony Bluetooth earphones had bad batteries. Sometimes Sony would warranty them, sometimes not, shipping always at my expense.

Now my WF-900 earphones (that have been warrantied once for bad batteries) are failing again. This time the right earphone is buzzing with certain sound frequencies like voice.

They’re very clean, I rarely use them. And they’ve failed once more. I don’t think I can warranty them anymore because replacements don’t extend the warranty period.

So I have yet another piece of junk Bluetooth earbuds from Sony in my possession.

I can’t help but conclude Sony can’t make good wireless earphones. They’re great for wired, but I’m done with wireless from them. And I’ll tell anyone who will listen.

I recently came into possession of a Sony cd and cassette player, and I am eager to get to properly use it- however, the disc/cd player part is broken, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it??

The cassette player works perfectly, however the cd player doesn't play at all- it will open, let you put in a cd, waits a few seconds and then opens again. It won't close until you turn it off.

Hello, I have a pair of WI-C100 and just changed phones.

I paired them at first without the Sound Connect app and they worked fine as always, now I got a prompt after installing the Sound Connect app that there was a software update for the headphones so I applied it and left the phone and headphones side by side on a table.

Now the left earpiece isn't working, there was no damage whatsoever so I can only assume it was the update.

I tried uninstalling the Sound Connect app, pairing the headphones again but nothing seems to work.

I can't find a way to reverse the update so I'm stuck, do you guys have any advice or fix for this?

Hi all. I’m new to this sub. But I need some insights for this issue. I had recently purchased the Sony HT-S60 system. After the setup and some tweaking I repeatedly noticed that the bass was a bit boomy inspite of reducing the bass value to -2. I also turned on the Voice mode and turned off the Sound Field option. My Sony XM6 headphones just developed a frustrating hinge issue. As you can see in the photos, the internal metal plate with the screw holes completely popped out of the plastic earcup housing.
The headphones still function perfectly fine (audio and charging are 100% working), and I can click the arm back into place. However, the moment I move it or pull it slightly too fast, it completely separates again. It seems like the internal plastic screw anchors/locks have stripped or cracked.

Has anyone have this problem and how do I fix it
