I've come and visit here for family since I was a kid. And now moved here to stay. Thought yuma has it good unique qualities. What is your theory to why yuma is so behind average progress.

Education, infrastructure, career opportunities, services, cultural enrichment/entertainment, etc.

I understand it's a small seasonal town, but there's other small towns that manage to grow and progress despite this.

My theory is total disregard for progress due to old-school conservative ideas, low education, and seasonal work not allowing the town to have all year-round habitation to keep revenue flowing year round evenly. There's other theories I have, but that's a few.

Is there a reason why people are so unreliable in Yuma? This has been my singular experience. Example: Lawncare service provider comes to home, gives an estimate and an appointment is set. The day comes and goes, service provider never shows much less calls or sends an email message. What is the point, after you've already put effort into setting an estimate. Do people not want to make money?

I’m considering taking a job there but would be commuting from Yuma. If you’ve done it, how difficult is the drive? Is it manageable?
