That's an African Jacana which is not what's pictured in the video posted, but there are other bird species who will pull up their chicks and carry them under their wings like the Jacana.
Makes sense, that terrain does not look forgiving if you're not walking right away... The way they mock walk not only looks creepy but it helps them figure out their funky swamp chicken walk.
Okay, when you know that, the pattern of their movement makes sense. At first it looked like a bunch of random twitching. Now I see that momās legs are the two in the back, and the babies are under her wings, facing backwards. Man, that really did look like AI, though
That's a brilliant defensive strategy. Looks so damn confusing, even though I can clearly see the fledgling butts, from the side, the way they back walk while dad forward walks looks visually confusing and strange.
Every time I see these birds, I canāt help but think itās probably annoying as hell to carry around two kids who have legs and long and feet as big as mine.
Itās like the bird equivalent of having to carry two preteens in a baby bjorn.
Bronze-Winged Jacana. Not African. The photographer seems to be Indian, and there's no dearth of wild subjects in India so the likelihood of it being a Bronze-Winged is more
So I looked it up and yeah, apparently these lovecrafian horrors are actually real and really do this. The only complaint I have to make is that these are not African Jacana. To the best of my knowledge, it seems to be a Bronze-winged Jacana

Well before that it was photoshop and even further back there have been plenty of hoaxes and faked UFO or bigfoot stuff efc. I guess it's easier to do now though.

This one is definitely 2 separate videos stitched together . The woman is just posing with the lens. I donāt see any rain drops around her. Also to take a moving video of a bird with that telephoto lens you need a tripod/gimbal. It would be very difficult to just use your hands to stabilize the video. The second part of the video of the birds seems legit
