It’s called Sudden Attack. I remember playing this for hours upon hours. It was during the “Werewolf VS Vampire” craze (2010-2013), and they made a “Vampire Mode”. Sudden Attack used to have an International release. Good times..

It has a system where the Vampire Hunters are only able to transform into Lycans once their “Rage Meter“ builds up. Rage Meter is increased by 10% for every death of a fellow team member. Once it hits 100%, you press the “T” key and you become a freaking baddass blue Werewolf. But as a Lycan, once you die, you can never respawn again.

So while you are physically powerful, you are only able to use your claws (You can no longer use your guns and exorcism weaponries. Yes, they have Holy Water grenades and Stakes), and you can’t respawn. So it is a double edged sword when you transform. I remember hiding in crevices of the map as a kid, hoping I survive long enough and hoping 10 of my teammates die so I can transform lolz. The Lycans even have their own theme song when you wolf out XD.

They updated the mode not so long after that, and gave the humans a better edge. If I’m not mistaken, if all your fellow Vampire Hunters die, and you’re the last man standing, you’re able to transform into the Alpha Werewolf (The one with the White Fur and super muscular body, resembling the traditional Werewolf.

Shame that the game didn’t do well outside of Korea and got shut down over a decade ago….But the game is trying to make a comeback, and it’s gonna be on Steam which is a huge plus!! I can’t wait!!

This year of art fight has been enjoyable, even if my pace is slower than I was wanting it to be. The event ends soon, but I'm hoping I can get a few more drawings in. These have all been really fun to work on!

This movie was so ridiculously awesome. I’m not going to spoil anything, and will simply tell you the premise which they reveal in the opening credits - last year a supermoon caused over a billion people to turn into werewolves! This year the supermoon is coming again!

It’s such a wild ride, and I enjoyed every bit of it. I should note that immediately prior to seeing this film, I made the mistake of watching Abraham’s Boys - an absolutely terrible film that edges you with thinking you’re going to get a vampire film for 90min. Werewolves is the complete opposite in the best way. Highly recommend!

I want some recommendations

In every werewolf movie I have seen, I am disappointed with the design of the werewolf for one single reason and that is that they never leave the design looking as it does mid transformation.

I’ve always had the opinion that the werewolf would look 10x scarier if it kept that blend of human and canine features rather than fully transform into a wolf. It’s much more compelling and uncanny to look at than just a regular looking wolf.

I’ve used American werewolf and Mazey day from a Black mirror episode as my examples. And then the last image of course is what he ends up looking like in American werewolf in London.

It’s nowhere near as scary to watch a regular wolf running around London, if his design had stayed at that mid transformation point as a bipedal man with wolf features it would look so much better.

Are there any movies that use this principle in its werewolf design?
