I have a vz58 in 762x39 that I’ve had for a while. It has 500 or so rounds through it of Wolf and PPU range line. It’s functioned flawlessly and is my favorite rifle I’ve owned. It’s not a century product. Anyways the firing pin broke. My last range trip it ran perfectly and then when I went to shoot it yesterday click— no boom on the first round chambered. Is this a common issue with vz’s or might I have a lemon? I plan on throwing another firing pin in once I receive it.

Hi, wanted to share this unusuall collectible i recently got my hands on. What you see here are original, factory, 100m accuracy test targets for Samopal vzor 58, those were packaged from factory in the wooden crates with 10 rifles and most likely discarded once they arrived to the designated units. I would consider those to be quite rare, i mean who else has it or more likely why would anyone take it at the time. Overall i have few going through years from 1970someting up to 1990something, different test shooters, 2 or 3 types and some have quite a good shot spread for a 100m shooting, some, less so. Anyhow, hope you like this.

Good news I've found a 5.56 shorty- follow up question-- does the magwell adapter turn it into an interrupted semi auto or does it function as any other semi?

Reason I'm asking is because out of all the videos that have it (only found 2) one brings up the fact that all i have to do is load a fresh mag on bolt lock, pull the trigger and it will send the bolt home. I think its a neat feature and it also helps that i've a metric buttload of usgi magazines.

Outside of gunbroker (i dont trust the website on the whole) i'm just looking for the 12 inch 556 pistol/rifle. But even on the czechpoint website i never see them in stock- is there another place I'm not tracking?

MNainly using 5.56 because i reload 5.56 en masse. 7.62x39 i just dont like the round.

All I wanted this year for Father’s Day was to go to the range with my VZ. Unfortunately it has a fixed mag limited to 10rds due to my state laws, but at least I can still use stripper clips.

I'm looking at Atlantic Firearms website and some VZ58's specifically mention Walther barrels while some only mention a chrome lined barrel. So do all of them have them? I'm thinking of purchasing one in 556 since I already have one in 7.62

Whats going on my dudes. Looking for some advice on how yall would go about doing a build.

Ive been on the market for a 12 inch VZ58. Czechpoint USA seems to be out of the 12 in variants in 7.62x39 and really want to get my hands on one.

VZ58 USA happen to have some blanks in 556 and 7.62 and was wondering if any of you have build a blank from them from scratch using another parts kit.

Was it as expensive or was it much lower in price?

Any advice would be great.

Is there a side rail optic mount that works with the left-hand bolt carrier?

I saw i could get a dust cover or handguard with a picatinny or change the but would really prefer the side rail mount.

So I just bought 10 round magazine from FAB and It causes jamming from last round in it.

It cant feed into chamber properly. Has anyone had same issue?

I have been trying to hunt one of these down for along time now and I mange to find and grab one that wasn’t gun show pricing or gunbroker pricing. It came with 19 mags as well. Only issue is filling those mags haha.

I have a fixed bleed piston v2 from VZ58USA which I have not yet used, pending getting my Wolverine PBS-1 suppressor. Has anyone out there tried both when shooting supersonics suppressed (16” barrel)? I’m wondering the upgrade to adjustable is worth the cost.

Got myself a D’Technik VZ58… cannot for the life of me get the recoil spring to come out of the bolt carrier. Is there a trick to pulling it out that I’m missing? All the disassembly videos I’ve watched it seems to come right out.

Finally join the club and got a D-Technik VZ58. Absolutely love the beaver barf. Can’t wait to shoot this thing.

I still like shooting with irons so the idea of a high rise side mount makes sense, but can you still get a good chin weld with the high rise mount with a fixed beechwood stock?

Or am I better off with the low rise and just detaching the mount if I want to shoot using irons?
