After recently moving house, I finally unpacked some crates that had been sitting untouched for years. It felt like meeting old friends again, and it inspired me to record this live, one-take session.

30 years of record collecting meet a relentless, steady 128 BPM groove. A journey through deep jazz-infused house, rare early 2000s white labels (including an elusive early David Guetta GUM release from his underground era), and timeless soulful house classics.

No Sync. No Edits. Mixed live on Technics 12xx turntables with a Pioneer DJM-250MK2. Riding the pitch control all the way through—raw, honest, and completely authentic.

Replacement stylusses for the Ortofon Nightclub MKII are quite expensive and i saw i could get the Reloop Concorde Vibe stylus for a bit less. Since it’s basically a rebadged Nighclub it works perfectly. I was a bit worried about the colors clashing but it looks fine. At around €20,- less a piece i think it’s a great deal.

I don't want to pollute the channel with another mix, but i do want to share my latest mix. Earlier this year i lost a very good friend with whom I connected with amazingly through music. I can (gladly) say I re-ignited his lust for vinyl and he was a brilliant DJ. This is a small mix i threw down. Raw without too much prep. It has imperfections and sound dips through mixing scenes in OBS - but I want to share the rawness of expression with those who wish to pursue vinyl mixing. I don't believe every mix has to be perfect- but at least try create a journey. Heres to you all.

Hi everyone!

Like most people ive had endless issues with evermix and was wondering if there's an alternative device you would recommend? Ideally small like the Evermix as i do not have access to a laptop to record mixes directly onto that.

Set up is 2 x Pioneer PLX1000, and the mixer is an old Reloop KUT. Did think maybe it's an issue perhaps with my mixer but ive seen endless people struggle with Evermix issues.

Any help greatly appreciated! Happy equipment or recordings app recommendations if you know of any. Not very tech savvy so talk to me like im 8!

I’m really happy with how this hour long mix turned out, it’s starts off with driving dub techno for the first half and the second half is deep and dubby house. Enjoy the vibes.

asking 1500 2 pioneer plx 1000 turntables in like new condition, with ortofone cartridges and stylus, numark m6 mixer and travel case, everything works perfect, can be tested here, asking $1500, appears more used. have numark headshells with ortofone cartridges, all fits in one large coffin case

Usually I bring a pair of headphones with me at the store and listen to anything that catches my eye on youtube/soundcloud. Does anyone else do this?

For me it's a pretty slow process, getting the track title, searching for it, finding the right song, getting through the ads, etc.

retrofitted an ION ttusb turntable with a real slipmat and an Ortofon OM s-120 on an sh-4 Serato head shell! been wanting to get into DJ-ing for a little bit, and I can safely say this is a good place to start so far. Obviously, the turntable is limiting, but still pretty fun!

I’m 16 and my Dad is showing me the ropes of becoming a vinyl dj because I got inspired after going to a house party.
The thing is though, let’s say I wanted to play a gig somewhere in a bar or wherever will they even have turntables I’ve heard most places just have cdjs.
Can’t wait to get into this and better at it.

I have a salsa focused gig coming up at the end of July and I’m also travelling to the South of Spain, Alicante, before then so wanted to ask the community for any recommendations of records in and around Alicante where I could find salsa.

Anybody using the DJS1000 in their vinyl setups? I could use some help on work flow with this machine. I want to use it for sampling and creating backing drum loops. Any tips and/or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
