So I recently saw these items on a random website (offer up) but wanted to know more about them. I’ve been seeing similar items online going for crazy $ but I was wondering more about historical context and are they actually legal to sell? If they are legit street signs?

Hi all, my dad’s 60th birthday is coming up and I would like to get him a special gift. His grandfather founded the Waverly Superior Beverage Co. based out of Gary, IN, so I would like to try to find an original embossed advertisement as a gift. Because the brand was small and regional, I’m finding very few sales of original signs online. Ideally, I’d like to find a sign like the one in the attached picture. Any suggestions about where I should search/any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I've searched the internet high and low for information on this sign. I just bought it off an older collector who bought it at auction about 30 years ago. He was under the impression it was a dealership sign from the 1950s, but I haven't been able to find anything to confirm. Its about 40" long, 24" tall, and 4" wide at its maximum width.

Also, any idea on a value for something like this? While looking online, seems prices are all over the place. Just curious if I overpaid or not.
