Thoughts on Arris in Carmine?
I've been put off many Arc'teryx red shades since the focus on Dynasty, I just find it a bit too orange for my liking. However I absolutely LOVE Heather red. I was wondering if anyone has the Arris in Carmine and what their thoughts are, and if you have any IRL pics, that would be awesome.

Any thoughts about the Veilance Anodic backpack?
Hey!
I recently purchased the Anodic backpack to be used as an everyday university/work/etc. backpack, and it still sits with its tags on, waiting to possibly be returned. I really like the material on it, the fit, and the size. Also, the straps and backpaneling are super comfortable. It perfectly fits my MacBook Pro 14" and iPad Pro 13" in its separate compartment, and I can fit jackets, etc., in the main one if needed. It also keeps its shape even when empty, which is a nice touch. Also protects everything from the weather. The only downside is obviously the price. The price isn't an issue if the backpack will last for a long time. Thus, I would like to hear any thoughts and experiences with the backpack. Obviously, since it was launched only months ago, there can't be long-term reviews.
The main thing I'm worried about is the face fabric looking worn. It feels super robust and seems to be colored throughout (at least on the black version). I've seen some not-so-pleasant pictures about other AC² 400 fabrics, although not the nylon twill variant, where the PU coating wears off and reveals the white inside. This would not be a problem with a purely outdoor-oriented backpack, but I intend to use it in the office, etc., where I would like it to look sharp. For example, the Granville series of backpacks and the previous Nomin backpack had this issue, at least to some degree (Nomin maybe had a thicker coating than the Granvilles?). Scratches overall are not a problem and happen with everything, but I don't want any bright white spots appearing throughout the backpack. But now, since the material is different and seems to be black from the inside as well, I would assume no such bright scratches would appear, right?
If you have anything I should think about, I would appreciate any comments regarding this topic to help me decide whether the backpack is worth the hefty price tag and is the right choice for me!

can techwear age gracefully? Spere SL first thoughts & impressions
hi! i recently picked up the new-for-this-season spere SL jacket and wanted to share my thoughts on it. from what i've read, the spere SL line is replacing the old spere LT line. i also own a spere LT jacket (pictured in an image from the veilance site in slide 2) from 1-2 years ago so i have some thoughts comparing the two of them. fit-wise, i am 6' 170 lbs and own both jackets in M. the spere SL definitely fits a bit more relaxed than the spere LT, especially in the arms.
there are a number of other differences between the spere SL and LT jackets, but the biggest one is the fabric. the spere LT is made of the tried-and-true veilance classic, Terratex (95% nylon, 5% elastane). the spere SL is made of something brand new, a fabric veilance is calling Ondritex (68% nylon, 32% cellulose i.e. paper). more specifically, the paper fibre in the spere SL is derived from abaca AKA manila hemp. abaca is a natural fibre, meaning the spere SL is pretty much made of 1/3 natural fibres.
looking closely at the fabric in my spere SL jacket in black, there are a few things worth noting. under bright light, the fabric reads as a reddish/brown black. it feels smooth and cold to the touch, has a subtle sheen/lustre to it, and it doesn't feel like it has much stretch. it also wrinkles and creases much easier than Terratex and doesn't have a DWR coating. i've washed my spere SL twice and each time it's felt a bit more "matte"/broken in. and it's this that honestly excites me the most about the fabric - how it'll age.
while synthetic fibres shine in performance situations, they don't age well at all. i'm glad and excited to see veilance playing around with more natural fibres these days. i'm curious to see what my spere SL jacket will look like with a year's worth of wearing and washing.

Can someone help identify this jacket?
Hey guys, found this jacket online but cannot find its model. Seems to be the Node down jacket but it's pocket placement is on the chest rather than handwarmer position so not sure. Does anyone know which jacket this is and if so has had experience with it?

cusec shirt LS first impressions - washi paper shirting
hi everyone! i recently copped the cusec shirt LS in black and wanted to give my first impressions of the piece since it's a new style for the season and there isn't much about it online yet.
the fabric used is something new for veilance, "washiba" 80% nylon 20% paper. it's super light and has a very dry/crisp hand feel - even more so than terratex and other veilance shirting fabrics. veilance appears to be incorporating more natural fibres into their newer collections and i like it.
appearance-wise, it has a tiny ripstop pattern and reads as blue black under bright light, which i enjoy. i've worn it in 35 degree C heat and it was very comfortable - super breezy and the texture of the fabric does not stick to sweaty skin.
fit-wise, i am 6' tall and weigh around 170 lbs and i got it in a size large. my true size is a medium, but i like how relaxed and drape-y it looked on me in large. worn with the spere LT cargo pants in the first pic.
my favourite detail on the shirt has to be the back yoke construction (pictured in the second photo taken off of the arc website). overall a great hot weather shirt, but i wish it came in some better colours.
edit: link to veilance website image HERE since it doesn't seem to load on reddit

What's the use case of the Isogon MX?
Found an Isogon MX from 2024 on the secondhand market in good condition sub €200, and was wondering what's the use case of this jacket before buying. Only one decent review on YT for this jacket so not quite sure what gap in my wardrobe it will fill. I'm looking for an all-rounder jacket with a little bit of wind and rain protection and something I can grab on the way out to the city by bike. For reference I live in the Netherlands, so it's quite windy and rainy for most of the year. I will also need something to work as the top layer (not looking for a goretex type material) and also not looking for something that helps me in a downpour. Will this jacket have somewhat of warmth on it's own? Curious to hear what's you guys think

Replacement sleeve for a Nomin v1 - Help?
So I got my hands on a surprisingly nice shape V1.2 Nomin but it was not disclosed that the entire sleeve was missing from the interior.
I expect there’s little chance of finding a replacement but what kind of options would I have? I attached some pics of what’s missing for context.

Experiences on Tech Wool?
Hey!
I just ordered a Lerus Insulated Jacket from the Outlet and it is made of Tech Wool. I'm looking if anyone has any experiences on this jacket or other jackets using the same material from Veilance. How does it hold up over time and have you had any issues?
All comments are much appreciated, thanks:)

stubborn fragrance on new cloth
Bought a new jacket and t-shirt from the store, and they all have a very stubborn cologne scent. Is this some new detergent that Veilance started to use recently? I washed the garment once, and the smell persists.
Where I bought: Yorkdale Ontario Canada.
Edit: add location
