grew up in east for id say most my life and ibr hackney is the epitome of gentrification. hackney in 2010s was peak man. i aint been there in a min and when i visited the way it changed🤣. darkk. no shade to these transplants. some gentrifier put me onto arc’teryx a few months ago, ym know that windbreaker its acc cold. but respectfully, i dont fw them. mfs driving up the rent prices and costs of everythin. this aint just in east its happened in Lewi, Narm, Brixton, norwood. kensal green. You know when they open up a gails near you its a fucking wrap🤣😭. some ppl say it reduced crime and poverty. fixes run down areas like the hood ygm. that obv a good thing to an extent. but furthermore, the thing is, they pricing out ethnic communities as well and we r the ones who made the area what it is. we made it trendy thats y these mfs even took interest in moving. i aint gonna say its a race thing more of a class thing but man for us working class its peak. we gonna grt pushed out to the countryside soon. aint hating on them im just pointing out what ive seen. my area has become unrecognisable. Shoutout Gails, they decent but i ain’t paying a ten sheet for one crossant. Its dark man. but yh luv for reading. thats just my two cents on it.
