NEW: The MLBPA made its proposal for the amateur draft, which includes:
• Moving the MLB Draft to June.
• Preserving draft eligibility for high school and junior college players, and expanding eligibility to college sophomores.
• Retaining a 20-round draft.
• Permitting clubs to trade draft picks.
• Increasing signing bonuses.
• Maintaining competitive balance selections for smaller markets.
• Increased signing bonus pools for lower-revenue clubs.

In my opinion, I see a lockout coming. I think the owners don't want to pay to develop players anymore. Instead, they want to use the NCAA and NIL as their new farm system. I also think allowing sophomores to be drafted will hurt college baseball. What are your thoughts?

It appears our former Guard Donovan Dent, who also started 3 years at New Mexico) is reversing his retirement to apply for a 5th year of eligibility. The recent NCAA rule changes made this extra season possible.
