First of all, I wanted to say thanks to the community on here for being helpful and supportive! We wouldn’t have made it as far as we have without some people on here. Sorry for asking so often, and sorry I am asking again. We are being kicked out of the Chandler River Park today. We fully understand we cannot live in any of these parking lots. We are just trying to get our vehicle running again, and having to get towed to a different location every few days is making it quite a bit more difficult. Does anyone know of a locally owned business or property (or driveway) that would could park in until we are able to get things figured out? It is me, my fiancé, and our three dogs. The dogs need to be able to be out of the car, and we have no problem keeping them feathered to said car. We don’t need access to anything but water and an outside outlet to plug in my cell phone. I know it’s a strange and probably far fetched favor to ask, but the worst anyone can say is no 🤷♀️ message me with offers, and it would be cool if we could refrain from negative or rude comments. We’re applying for jobs, we still make odd money a couple times a week, we use food banks for food, and a church (and some wonderful people from Reddit) provide us with dog food. We have a plan to get back on our feet, we just need this car running right to get on the grind again. Thank you, and apologies in advance to those whom I am annoying.

I am searching for a new gynecologist in the Tyler area and am hoping for recommendations. I absolutely love my current doctor but I have medical issues that is making the walk to her office more and more challenging as the years go on and I just can’t do it anymore. Looking for someone who has an actual parking lot (not a garage) and ground/second floor office.
I’m also hoping that there’s someone that also is infertility friendly and doesn’t allow children in the office or maybe has separate waiting areas for OB vs Gyno. This is one of my favorite things about my current doc and I’m hoping to keep that, for the sake of my mental health.
I’m not fussy about the doctor being a man or a woman. But given my age this person will likely be the one to help me begin mammogram screenings and other such things as I get older so I’d prefer them to be gentle and understanding, not just brush off my concerns and questions.
Any recommendations? I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!

I’ve looked online extensively, but i have not had any luck. I’ve been wanting to to take pole fitness classes for fun, but it seems like Tyler has none. I found one but it doesn’t seem like it’s still a thing anymore, it’s at a place called Mangos? Anyways, if anyone knows of anything lmk!

They just added lights for the people coming on and off I-20, and now they’re making the highway 2 lanes. Are they planning on developing the area or something?

My 8yo daughter had back-to-back gymnastics and Art Camp today so I needed to grab her a lunch quickly in between. We hit on Whataburger due to the line at McDonalds. 😆
While I was ordering for her she asked for a larger drink - kid loves her DC.
I asked for a medium. Got to the window to pay and it’s $13.70 for the kids meal. I couldn’t remember what the menu said so I just paid.
Turns out they REALLY upcharge the drink. My self-rationale is to get the same money for an adult meal. But it still seems crappy.
Anywho…just wanted to share and spread awareness. 😅

My boss is staying at my house tonight and I’m so run down from toddlers + working full time and I just don’t think I’ll be able to have the house ready by the time she gets here. I am new to Tyler and don’t really have anyone I could ask to come over and help. I couldn’t find any same day cleaners either. I know it’s probably not the wisest to be asking strangers on the internet but…any takers? I promise I’m normal!

I am interested in learning where kids play youth sports at in the area? We are wanting to do soccer and football in the fall then basketball. We usually do baseball in the spring.
Also looking for recommendations on golf lessons/classes for an (almost) 8 year old!
TIA :)

I’m sitting here filling up at a gas station near Tyler and this car pulls up to get gas and at the same time they literally just threw their trash on the ground right before they left. Reddit, do your absolute worst and make these people feel like the trash that I picked up.

Hello!! I've made a few posts in here but I'm looking for friends! I moved to Tyler about a year ago with my boyfriend.
I'm 22, female, love thrifting, crafting, shopping. I would also like to start going to the gym regularly if anyone is looking for a gym buddy! I work 7:30-5:30/6pm, Mon-Thurs so my weekends are pretty open :)
I also love to just lounge at home watching movies/tv shows ! I'm a very low maintenance friend , just looking for someone to chat & hang out with :p

My fiancé and I are dealing with car problems so we’re immobile at a Whataburger on 155 South near the loop. We are STARVING and can just afford a bag of burgers from Braums. Would anyone be willing to pick up and drop off a bag for us??? We will pay you for the burgers when you drop them off 🙏🙏🙏 Really any food would be helpful today, we’re out and the food banks aren’t open until tomorrow morning.

Today one of my co workers was harassed by a grown ass man who’s a pastor and has a wife. The fact that he made some disgusting comments to her while being a pastor disgust me so much that I just can’t put into words. I really want some form of justice brought to this guy but I don’t want to start some kind of witch hunt (although I wouldn’t mind). His actions and comments made my friend cry for the rest of the shift, it’s something that is unapologetic and absolutely unacceptable to do especially as someone who’s a known figure with a family. I really want to contact his church to let them know about the filth that is involved with them. I’m also sorry for his wife and family, they probably don’t know the piece of shit that he is. What’s the next step to do against these type of people?
His name is James E. Hawkins and he’s part of Higher heights community church

Prime Deliveries
Amazon has recently changed from USPS to delivering via Amazon. We had our first delivery yesterday. We suspected a panel van across the fence was looking for our newish neighborhood. Sure enough, the same truck is driving thru, but seems lost.
I went outside, flagged him down, and he’s jumbling two systems trying to figure where to go. Said the system from Amazon can’t find the address. Showed him proof of ID and he handed me the package.
Today we had another delivery, they showed it to be delivered, but the picture is inside a home under construction. There’s only a handful, so I guess I’ll go looking for it in the morning.

I’m planning a move from Austin to East Texas and I’m wondering if any RN’s would share their experience working at UT Health in Tyler or Christis Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
I’m a relatively new RN & my nursing experience amounts to 3.5 years on a med surg unit at a Level 2 facility.
I believe there is also a BSW Spine & Joint Hospital. I looked here first because I’m currently with BSW but it looks tiny with 20 beds or something.
Anyway, thanks in advance

Hey guys, throwaway account but I just moved to Tyler a few months ago. I'm in my mid to late twenties and have made a few friends here but I'm Indian and was hoping to connect with a few more people from similar backgrounds.
Wanted to ask if there were any events for Indians that happen in the area or anyone that's also Indian and new here/been living here a while that would be open to connect.
Thanks!

New Episode with Matthew Jewell from Fiction Love!
So, a few weeks ago there was a storm that knocked down a large branch which knocked down a wire. A police officer showed up and someone was eventually called who removed the branch and move the line so it's now hanging in my yard (cord seems to be not a hot wire but I haven't licked my finger to test it). They also apparently opened these electrical boxes on the side of my house and left then this way. Anybody know who is responsible for this/who to call?

New to this group! I'm 32M (I know some people care about that information for a potential roommate or renter) and I recently accepted a job offer in the Tyler area to start next month.
I would look for my own place but I know that process can take longer than I want it to, so I thought maybe checking here would be a good idea. If there are other avenues to check out please let me know!
I can provide more information about myself or workout any details if needed thru PM. Any help would be seriously appreciated! 😭
