Other the alliance lwk makes no sense?
i think im quite late for this conversation but yeah. they were fighting for the freedom of their people since day 1, the world hated them, if the world had the power paradis had, they wouldn't think twice before exterminating the island and they (aliance) knew that.
everyone knows eren should've just killed 100% of the population outside the walls because that's what makes sense when it comes to his character (not a hot take), so why wouldn't they (his friends) support his decision? "genocide is bad" yeah no shit sherlock but guess what? the world fucking hates all of you and if y'all don't kill them then they will later kill you (and that's exactly what happens lol). so what? is it just about their morals? or they really thought they could convice the world with a simple conversation? im genuinelly confused about this. ofc genocide is not the answer in a general point of view, but when it came to paradis freedom, was there really another way? did the alliance even stop for a sec to think about this?
see, i get that aot is not a black and white kind of story, and i really enjoy the nuances of the "bad" and "good" characters, at the end, humans can be both, but an extremism decision actually makes sense when it comes to eren's urge of freedom, that was his mindset since the start, from "killing all of the titans" to "if we kill all our enemies, will we finally be free?"
plus on 139 they fucking thank eren for the genocide and start glazing him so why didn't they just support him from the start lmaoooo like what was the point of trying to stop him then? im sorry that just doesn't make any sense to me
