I went to 2 stores and they were out of lady fingers 😭 I substituted pound cake for the second layer and thankfully, they held up the cream. Everyone loved it, but I kind of wish it had more of a coffee flavor. Last time I made tiramisu (the first time I ever did), I dunked them for way too long and it soaked through. It was incredibly delicious. Personally, I love a strong tiramisu with good coffee flavor. Maybe I under dipped them this time? At least to my taste. Any advice is welcome, thanks!

Okay, so I've tried like three different recipes nor for tiramisu, and my mascarpone layer just never gets that amazing light cloud-like thing going on. It's always a bit...dense? Am I overmixing? Undermixing? Is there a secret brand of mascarpone I should be using? Help a girl out, I'm trying to impress my in-laws next weekend.
