Trane XR524 (Model TZEMT524)

Twice it decided not to turn off and came home to a house that was 66 degrees and running . the thermostat was set to 85 when we were out of the house for a couple days. Schedule is off. Fan Auto, Cool mode, Heat pump single stage outside. When we are home its usually set to 77 or 78 and never had problems it not turning off the condenser. Zwave is not active. cooling min is set to 74. I've decide to replace it with a wifi model. ESM cooling is set to 85. Why is it doing this when we are away? The temperature readings on the thermostat are accurate. thats the last time i set it to 85 lol

Is my thermostat compatible to change to smart thermostat

Hey everyone! Looking into getting a better thermostat for the house to be able to schedule and better manage our energy usage.

Not sure if this thermostat is compatible with newer systems so was wondering if anyone here would know

The wires are really tightly packed but the wire numbers I see are W, RH, B, G, Y, O. And the last number is impossible to see.

Can't seem to find wattage anywhere aswell

Thanks in advance for any help

Ecobee thermostat

So I bought an ecobee thermostat and I realized it seemed like it was off a little bit and right now I left my house and the thermostat is at at 78° and it’s only like 73 outside or so. And the humidity right now is reading anywhere from 2 to 3° off because I have two other sensors in my house digital hand ones monitors and they read 2 to 3° difference they one is near the thermostat and the other one is in my hallway and the one that is near the thermostat reads higher in temperature but lower in humidity compared to the other monitor has anybody had this happened to them and what is the solution? My thinking is when I get home compared what the readings are after eight hours of me being gone at work and then maybe taking the two sensors and just set them near the thermostat and then when I get back from running some errands look at the two sensors and then compare it to the thermostat and make a decision from there. I am having the guy that installed the thermostat in my house he will be coming today so we will decide what to do that. Also, the thermostat is also off by 1 to 2°. It’s more off by one because for a while there when I had the actual air conditioner constantly running, it would read on the digital thermometer that is hooked up to the AC. It’ll read it 74 but then the handheld monitors that I bought both red 73 but now they’re reading 73 in the hallway and 74 right up against the thermostat

Best Smart Thermostat that’s not super expensive

I currently have a Google nest thermostat and I’ve had issues with it where it’s died twice in the last 2 years and I needed to replace it. What is a good smart thermostat that isn’t $200, $250+?

Which one is probably more accurate?

Home thermostat says the humidity is 73%, but the Taylor hygrometer says 49%. Our thermostat has been 69%-75%for a few weeks, and I’ve seen the water trail from the AC to the drain for the collected humidity. I thought something might be wrong with the collector, but before buying a dehumidifier, I bought this hygrometer instead. It’s reading much lower RH throughout the house, slightly higher in the bathroom, but still sub 60%. Which one should I go off of for RH? TIA

How to use this thermostat?

We just moved into a new apartment, and it has this weird thermostat. I assumed it was a touch screen, but it doesnt respond to touch. When we tried to turn it, it popped off the wall. Its connected to the wall with wires. We have the wifi set up, but how am i supposed to connect it? I sent a few messages to the landlord, but he hasn't responded (classic landlord behavior). Im quite chilly at 70 degrees, and we need to save money, so we need to keep the AC on low. Thanks for any help!

Does anyone else's thermostat say 72 while one room feels 78?

I feel like this is one of the most frustrating things about owning a house. The thermostat says everything's fine, but then you walk upstairs and it feels completely different. I've seen people replace the thermostat thinking that's the problem, only to realize it didn't change anything.

If you've dealt with this, what ended up being the cause? Bad airflow? Sunlight? Insulation? Something else?

Need Help Solving Thermostat Issue

Here's the situation - I live in South Florida, thermostat I'm having issue with is the Honeywell TH8321WF1001. Below you'll see the current setup of the thermostat. Yes there's poor circulation around it thus I have to put a fan there to blow some of that air towards it. The issue I'm having is that once it hits afternoon, the thermostat reading doesn't go down. In fact, it goes up. Most recent example, I set it at 79, it went up to 85, even with the fan speed at high and humidity percentage being less than 60 percent. What happens is that the AC then runs at a high speed for a long period of time.

Now if I'm home alone I'll just put it up one degree higher than it is, then go down by one degree at a time to at least reach 80, but when there are others home, I can't put it past 80, and when I'm not home, well you get the picture. What could be the reason for it and what can I do to resolve this issue?

Edit: Mind you I don't have the WiFi connected to it. Here's how it looks behind the thermostat:

Smart thermostat for multiple heating systems and zones

I currently have a simple thermostat that controls a boiler, and one that controls a very small floor warmer in one room, with a floor temperature sensor. I'm planning to have a 3 zone heat pump put in, and use the boiler as backup heat.

My goal for right now is to choose a thermostat that could possibly talk to all of these systems. Ideally the main central thermostat would control the main floor heat pump zone, and the boiler as backup. I know that's a common and well supported situation.

What I'm hoping is if there's a way to have the Central thermostat be able to control the floor warmer as well if I hooked up the floor temp sensor to it, and if I could give it knowledge of the other 2 heat pump zones some how. I'm also wanting to connect all this to my home assistant setup.

So far I Iike the Honeywell thermostats. I keep seeing the T6 pro recommended.

Is there a single thermostat that does all this?
