Usually how i explore new bands or albums is through listening to one album at a time, absorbing all the instruments till I'm bored and then moving on to the next album from that artist.

However, it took me 3 years to move on from frances the mute. And now it's been 7 months to amputechture. I spent the first 5 months listening to day of the baphomets. And now I'm addicted to tetragrammaton.

Been i fan of this band forever, omar( and particularly the cygnus live video in the bedlam era, if you know the one im referring to) is the reason I play guitar to begin with. I still cant get over the speed he plays hes cygnus guitar verses in that video with such accuracy and almost changes the dynamic of the verses with how hes playing it. But whats one riff, any instrument or members part, that still to this day truly stumps you as a player?

I only learned of them three or four years ago but they are one of my favorites, up there with Tool, Radiohead, and Pink Floyd. Amazing music.

So, as most, if not all, of you going to the gig at Hard Rock Live already know, it’s located on Universal Orlando property. The concert also happens to coincide with this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, which I’ll be attending the night before, on 9/16. Needless to say, that’s two really fucking awesome nights! Anybody else planning on doing HHN the night before the gig? If so, let’s link up for some drinks, houses, E.T. The Ride… I mean, if that last one doesn’t convince you, nothing will.

Oh, they also have an Ozzy Osbourne horror house (1 of 10 houses, and they all sound amazing) this year. 🦇🦇🦇

I went to see Omar and Cedric: If This Ever Gets Weird a while back at the cinema and was blown away by some of the live footage. A few clips looked incredibly high quality, and I’m pretty sure Jon Theodore was drumming in them.

Does anyone know which shows or performances the footage came from, and whether the full recordings are available online anywhere? I would need to rewatch but from memory a lot of it was filmed on stage and sounded INCREDIBLE!

I have an extra ticket cause someone bailed and ticket master won't let me just put it up for resale they say my only option is to sell it back the them for half the money and I'm currently very angry the administration stopped the DOJs investigation of ticketmaster....

I was hoping they would announce more dates, but since they aren’t, I’m going to do a last minute send and fly in from Seattle for the show. Already spending $900 on flights, so really don’t want to give my money to stubhub. Anyone have extra tickets?

Also if anyone has any recs for things to do around the venue, I’ll be flying in around 11am and leaving at 6am the following day. I like fine dining and weird experiences. Thanks!

For clarification, I'm not directing this post towards the band or the merch company, just the fans who might be waiting on stuff. I got my items yesterday, after having ordered one June 12. I never got any updates on the merch site about it shipping, until the morning after getting the items, when I was alerted the items had shipped. Just letting people know that stuff is going out even if you aren't getting updates on it.

I got 2 of the embroidered hats. The hats are floppy up top, which I'm not used to from wearing New Era baseball caps, but if you use a solid hat as a mold and rubber band the brim to a standard baseball cap you can curve it decently and help shape the front of the hat also. They are shipped in a loose packaging so they look kind of rough out of the plastic, but you can work with them to shape them to your liking.

Not unhappy with the product overall. The embroidering is of acceptable quality, even if it's somewhat smaller than the picture would have you believe. You have to be a big TMV fan to even tell what it says so that's not an issue. Obviously if they were a real solid New Era type cap with MLB level stitching I would prefer that, but I get that they would have to be likely twice the price for the band to get a decent margin on the merch at that level.

Anyways, feel free to use this thread to discuss the drop or just let it die, just wanted to give an update for anyone who has been waiting on their items. Also I am kind of curious for any reviews of the jerseys they had on offer or any of the other merch.

Ok hear me out I’m 75% sure that I’ve seen a live video from the Deftones tour where he played that part exactly as it is on the studio version (as far as I know he improvises on that bit on every show and even the live album recording). Does anyone know what video that might be?

Just found this LP while casually looking through records at a store (on the Pop Section). I had to buy it.
