Stats/Analysis Since 2000, only 2 men have completed the full set: Slam, ATP Finals, Olympic gold, and World No. 1 (Men's Singles)

Post image
Upvotes

Note: Data is counted from 2000 onward only, so pre-2000 feats don't register. That gates a few names - e.g. Agassi's 1996 Olympic gold doesn't count, so he sits in Slam + No. 1 rather than higher. It's a "since 2000" snapshot, not full-career. (2000 itself is included.)

Data is only for Men's Singles.

Discussion Matches you wish you could watch again without knowing the result?

I just recently started getting into Tennis and when I dive into new things I like to rewatch stuff that I missed out on. With that in mind, are there any matches that if you could watch all over again for the first time without knowing who wins what would it be? It'd be fun to find these matches for myself and watch them since they're all new for me really. Try not to spoil the results for me but if it happens it's no big deal.

Discussion Atp live race

Post image

The atp race tells us two facts:

1) Zverev is having an incredible season, only Sinner, who has won a slam and all the masters is ahead of him, and not by that much.

2) The rest of the tour is incredibly weak, Alcaraz is 3° and has missed the majority of the season.

News Holger Rune enters the year's final Grand Slam

According to Danish online media sport.tv2.dk Holger Rune goes straight into the main draw at the US Open.

Holger Rune is set to play his first Grand Slam tournament this year, as the Danish tennis player takes part in the US Open, the year's final Grand Slam tournament.

The Dane's name is on the entry list, which the US Open organizers published today.

And in New York, where the tournament is played in late August and early September, Holger Rune goes directly into the main draw, despite currently being ranked number 80.

The tournament has announced around 100 ranked players who are among the 128 players competing in the first round of the US Open.

Qualifying for the US Open begins Saturday, August 23, with the main draw starting on August 30, before it all wraps up on September 13.

It remains uncertain when Holger Rune will make his comeback on a tennis court, after being injured in Stockholm in October last year.

Rune is entered in a big ATP 1000 tournament in Cincinnati in the US starting August 17, and before that tournament in the US, the Canada Open in Montreal is played, also an ATP 1000 tournament.

There have been positive reports about Holger Rune's form from his mother and manager, Aneke Rune, who a week ago commented on Rune's training to Ritzau.

He's making really good progress on the court and is very happy with how things are developing. He's looking forward to being able to compete again soon.

The last time Holger Rune played a Grand Slam tournament was in New York last year, where the Danish tennis player lost in the second round after a five-set drama to Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany.
