I ordered 19 things from taobao and two(from the same seller) are only going to be shipped in November while the rest are only taking like 2 days. Will I have to wait till November to get all the items or will they just arrive as soon as the seller sends them out? I ordered them together btw

should i split the shipment or would CBSA flag them for duties? i am not trying to resell them, they are for personal use. these are leather handbags

i did some of my own research and was warned to not ship all of them together in case they find it suspicious. i just don’t want to pay a shipping fee twice

if i use sea freight, would i get flagged? should probably avoid sea freight since there’s a lot of delays…

Backstory:

Currently on a trip w: fam in China. Figured that I would finally use taobao and bought some clothing items (9 of them already shipped to our address in China). Signed up by email but had to link my USA phone number 3 days ago and no issues till today.

My sister kept getting her account restricted so I told her she could order off of mine today (mistake). I looked it up and I told her putting too many things in the cart would get the account banned. Not even a day goes by and my account gets permanently restricted after she used it because “this mobile number cannot support the use of taobao at the moment.”

I contacted live chat and they kept saying that my account is unrestricted and there is no ban. However there very much is whenever I try to log in.

Questions:

Just saw the ban on US accounts researching my issue. Should I assume that the ban on my account is because I signed up with a USA phone number? Or is it because of “suspicious activity” by my sister?

Is it possible to change the phone number I have attached so I can access my account again?

And what will happen to the items I purchased that have already shipped? Will I be auto refunded or do I have to charge back with my bank?

Hi!! It's probably my 5th package that I'm shipping, and I have recently noticed that US customs (CA) is taking forever to clear. My package arrived at the port on July 16 and since then has been in customs. If I remember correctly, it has never taken so long before, usually being 3 days max. Has anyone experienced slow customs clearance these days?

Another problem is that the ob11 doll items that I ordered seems to be suck somewhere (?) since July 16th, it says “Your parcel has been received on your behalf and is being held at the front desk (Forwarding Warehouse 165).”

I'm looking at a pair of headlights for my Golf GTI Mk7.

AliExpress: NZD $437 (before shipping)
Taobao: HKD $1,870 (before shipping)

What I'm trying to figure out is whether Taobao shows different prices to local Hong Kong users compared to international users. On AliExpress, prices are generally the same regardless of where you're from, but I'm not sure if Taobao works differently.

Do Hong Kong locals see lower prices than international users, or are the listed prices the same for everyone?

Also, if there are ways to check the actual local Taobao prices (for example by changing region, language, currency, or using the mainland app), I'd really appreciate any tips.

Hi everyone, my Taobao account was locked because of "security issues" and now it's asking me to verify my identity. I am a Chinese citizen with a Chinese passport but I live in the US as a permanent resident (green card). I tried to verify my identity through Alipay, but it makes me add "additional documents" like a Chinese ID or Chinese bank card but obviously I have neither of those. Every number l've called that Taobao says is for overseas foreigners has not worked. I've tried (852)
30183610 and the Honk Kong one. I even tried emailing [email protected] and it just says
"address not found"
I did browse on a proxy but it doesn't show reviews like the actual Taobao site does.
I am completely out of ideas. Please help!

since styled wigs are usually packaged on a mannequin head with lots of pins and protective packaging to keep the style intact, i'm wondering if the warehouse would ship it as-is or remove the mannequin head before forwarding it.

Hello. I logged out of my taobao account (bottom one) on the mobile app a couple days ago because it was restricted and I wanted to let it cool down. Today, I tried to log in again through mobile verification and Alipay quick access because it's the only two ways available, but when I use both of these methods it logs in into an entirely different account with a different username and everything (the top one) but I can't understand why. I tried clicking "change" and removing the account I don't want to use multiple times but no it just won't let me log into my former account where I have everything set up already with a basket full of stuff it took me hours to find. Anyone know why this happens? I don't want to log in into another device or through browser because logging into multiple devices is what got me restricted last time.

So both my accounts i had got banned cause i guess it detected EU IP address so i got instantly shut down... i dont understand why are chiense this anal about browsing their stuff and buying it... theres legit so many other places where u buy chinese products from like Aliexpres, alibaba etc... yet Taobao/tmall somehow off limits to foreigners.. i rly dont get it ... In any case i used it mostly to buy anime merch for like 1/5th of the dumb western reseller prices, now i got banned for Existing.. which i find pretty racist ngl ... To my understanding, I thought the Direct Air option was basically a flat calculation where its an initial cost $xx for the first 0.5kg then $xx for every 0.5kg after that.

But just yesterday, I was playing around with my shipping costs and after adding MORE items, the cost went from roughly 500RMB to 250RMB so I immediately shipped it at that price which seems like a price break for a certain volume even though its not documented.

Anyone experience this? Is there any claw back later?

Recommendations? Do I wait it out, or contact CS for a refund? I've contacted CS twice, which is when I got today's update and 7/07.

Hello, I have had my account for a while but yesterday I logged in through another device, by scanning the QR code through the app on my phone and ever since then my account got restricted and I need to verify my identity using my passport. Before I do that I have to be authenticated through Alipay. I did this step just fine and then it says they will send me a code through SMS to complete this step. I have waited and waited and have received nothing. My phone number is correct but no matter how many times I have asked to receive a new code, I don't get it. Since I exceeded the limit of codes yesterday I tried today too and it's the same, still can't receive it. Does anyone else have a similar problem? How did you solve it?
