Hi everyone! I am conducting an academic research study examining how people with limited English proficiency experience communication during healthcare visits.

I am looking for adults (18+) who:

• Identify as having limited English proficiency (Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese)
• Have had a healthcare visit within the past year where they needed language assistance
• Have experience with at least one of the following:
  • A family member or friend serving as an informal interpreter
  • A professional medical interpreter
  • A healthcare provider who speaks their primary language

The purpose of this study is to better understand how different forms of language assistance may affect patients' experiences with healthcare. The online survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Participation in the survey is voluntary, and you may skip questions or stop participating at any time. The survey is being conducted for academic research purposes, and your responses will be handled confidentially and analyzed as part of the research study.

At the end of the survey, you will also have the option to indicate your interest in a separate follow-up interview about your healthcare communication experiences. The interview is completely optional and is not required to participate in the survey. Individuals who complete the follow-up interview will receive a $25 Amazon gift card for their time.
