  5. Enhanced KMIP certificate handling to comply with updated certificate issuance policies for public certificate authorities (CAs). KMIP client authentication now requires certificates issued by a private CA. Synology default certificates, the QuickConnect certificate, and certificates issued by public CAs (e.g., Let's Encrypt, SSL.com, and Sectigo) are not supported for KMIP client authentication. For detailed configuration instructions, refer to this article.

Compatibility & Installation

  1. To ensure compatibility, the following packages will be automatically updated or will require a manual update to a compatible version: SnapshotReplication.

Fixed Issues

  1. Fixed an issue where a USB UPS could not be recognized after updating to DSM 7.4.
  2. Fixed an issue where USB devices could not be used on certain models after updating to DSM 7.4.

NAS Apps Synology DS124 and Reolink RLC-520A issues

I just ordered for testing so my boss can look at the interface in a Synology DS124 and loaded the Surveillance app on it. Trying to add a Reolink RLC-520A (which seems like a nice little turret camera, btw). I believe I got ONVIF configured on the camera ok, everything is default settings. I add it to the Synology, it passes the config test, get a green checkmark, and even see a thumbnail live image or something, and then seconds later it shows "Disconnected". I open it up in Edit view, and do a Test of it, and it fails with the usual unhelpful check everything sort of comment. Everything is in default mode, but I did change TCP over to UDP with no change.
Is there some basic thing I'm missing?
I'm on a Unifi switch, and there is a Unifi Protect NVR attached to it as well, but it shouldn't have anything to do with it.
Any help would be highly appreciated, thank you!!

NAS hardware Considering an Ecoflow River 3 Plus as an UPS

I'm not sure if it can be plugged in the NAS to get it recognized as a basic UPS over USB. I've seen support for about 4 NAS models but I don't need an app, just basic UPS support.

Any feedback? Is that a bad idea?

NAS hardware expansion or new unit?

I have a DS1520+ with 5 20TB drives in it. its currently sitting at 80% full. i thought i could add another volume by attaching a JABD to it. but i cant (i want the raid function) should i buy an expansion unit? or do i get a new unit? it be synolgy, Ugreen or another brand. if i get a new unit how do i go about making the two units talk and play nicely with reading each others data?

NAS hardware Looking for a dual 10Gbe network PCIe card for my DS1821+

As the title says, I am on the lookout for a dual 10Gbe ethernet network PCIe card for my DS1821+ NAS.

The official supported Synology ones are a little pricey and would prefer something a little cheaper.

Thanks

NAS hardware USB adapter running, but only seeing Gbe speeds

Upvotes

Title basically says it all.

Bought a 1522 and tried to put in only stuff I have on hand

So I pull the 2.5Gbe adapter from my work replicator and run the script. Set lan5 as primary network, run a script at start up
to make sure the adapter is on. So everything should work but I only get less than 1Gbe speeds with all fast adapter on the same switch.

What am I missing here ?

I could remove the T1 mini from my 923 but that sort of defeats the benefits of it being all SSD.
Or just pay for a second T1 mini?
