Cant wait! Im going through withdraw symptoms

I watched it today with an open mind and enjoyed it. I liked her personal story and character growth, even if the villain felt like a throwaway character. Reminded me of Mandalorian and Grogu.

This fanart, in particular, really speaks to me. I love the dynamic shown between both the women, possibly more than the one that was shown in Supergirl (TV Series).

Great news Matrix makes her return! Bad news Kara’s book seems to be featuring a roster of heroes the size of the Titans or the Teen Titans for a bit.
Couldn’t imagine DC making Nightwing’s comic a Titans run for more than maybe an arc.

It’s not like I hate any of these characters. I want to know more about them individually. I feel like most of them will get lost. It’s not that I don’t want Kara to lead. I want her to have her solo run more.

Yeah characters share stuff all the time, but Kara is in 1 series regularly. She shouldn’t have up to 6 major supporting cast members most of which will disappear if creative teams change. I am hoping that it is more of a rotating them in and out through out issues, and that campbell doesn’t forget about Kara like she forgot about the brothers. Granted she did just write Kara not warning Kon about prime so I already cant even tell you what she want kara to be anymore.

Kara is kinda self righteous in her monologue. Ya can over look it. Zora is all talk and Kara probably knows this is just pissing her off. But her words, “I care about everything and everyone.” It should be true.
Last arc she clearly didn’t think the council has the right to cause mental harm to younger generation by keeping them trapped in Kandor in the name of Kryptonian preservation. But she exposed Kon to his murderer without warning because of kryptonian legacy and prophecy? Clearly she cares and loves everyone except Kon.

Idk, I feel like Kara has all this trauma she should be able to connect to other but doesn’t. Such a weird thing for a character of compassion.

Kara should have (pre-questionable clone moment) known that the council is making trauma based decisions and being like “Hey I get it. Surviving sucks. But this is wrong.” (Kandorian are most likely her gen of krypton and she too survived in an unintentional way and idealizes her home.) Instead we get Kara either magically knowing what the reader knows, that she is blindly following Lesla who had been known to make poor decision in mental health spirals, or she was just set in her opinion potentially due to shock of cybernetics and a near death experience.

Kara months ago watched her death, but failed to connect that to Kon. She exposed him to his murderer and had the nerve to try to hold him back. For what a prophecy, a legacy? (Also do kryptonians believe in fate again? I started thinking of the New52 Zod doomsday story where kid Kara basically tells Zod to fuck off).

I was curious about opinions, because I thought that Sophie Campbell was going to make the council and Kandor more complex as Lesla off handly mentions, “I have nothing to be thankful for the science guild provides all” and they announced a Zod event and his last story centered on the fact that he resurrected Kandor from the dead and took half of them. I was so so wrong though.

One thing I enjoy about movies is the music, and I think this film fell short in that regard. What do you think? What songs would you have included on the soundtrack? I would have started with "Just a Girl" by No Doubt and "Atomic" by Blondoe because of their infectious energy.

Ok, I haven't read Supergirl comics just seen the TV and movie versions. So far I prefer cynical depressed Kara version. If you got any suggestions on which comic storylines to read send them my way. Already bought Woman of Tomorrow, hopefully it's delivered soon.

The movie was ok! I was a bit underwhelmed bc of how enamoured I was with Woman of Tomorrow, but after a while I kind of liked it for what it was

You can find it on Plex for free. I know it isn't directly, Supergirl content but thought worth sharing. Each season is only 8 30 min episodes and I really enjoyed both seasons. The girl can act.
