My first ever cactus bloom! 🥰

Updated on all my succulents! Some of them are blooming, some have been growing pups successfully! One of them for some reason insisted on becoming a tower. I'm fairly certain this growth habit was due to a lack of sun. They get plenty of sun now especially in the summer

Any advice on the status of my plants?

I've seen people talk about etoilating? Is this what's happening here? I only have 1 south facing window (which he sits in the sill of) and am unable to relocate so it's not like can do much about it anyways. 😟 The last photo is hard to tell but it looks like roots growing out of a spot that a leave fell off of??

Okay, so I’ve had this guy for maybe a year, year and a half. Finally expanded my shelving and lights and decided today I was gonna deal with my overcrowded plants. I imported this guy thinking it should be easy and this is what I found after I got most of the old soil off. He basically created a wicker basket inside his terracotta pot. Growth has come to nearly a stop so I thought I should separate them. Now I’m wondering how I should go about doing that and if I can’t, just plop him in a bigger pot? I don’t want to lose either of them.

I’m in central Texas, my succs here have gritty soil, get every ounce of sun that the sun can provide, and live in a terracotta pot. Looking to fill in the empty space.

A friend gave me this little succulent off her plant. It is the slightly larger than a quarter. I want to grow ot. Thank you.

I have her in about 60% inorganic soil. Watered when she's been dry for a while. I'm just noticing these white blemishes. Any thoughts what this might be?

I have her under a grow light, but shes been in isolation for a couple days getting slightly less intense light because I was worried about pests.

As in, how often should I water and whether it should be a full soak, partial soak, or still just misting. I had been misting the soil around the base before because I believed it would stimulate root growth. Now that it’s successfully grown stubby roots, I’m wondering what my habits should be now. It gets full windowed south-facing sun, a big difference from the very filtered light it was once getting.

5 or so days ago I gave it a partial watering, just enough to reach the roots. Should I continue doing this and how often?

Yeah, I know his little buddy is dead. I tried. But it would never grow roots.

My partner’s coworker gifted us a succulent and despite having the mother plant for decades, she has no idea what it is. We have 0 experience with succulents either so no way we’re figuring it out on the giant databases one by one. Can one of you special plant autism fellows figure out what this is?

This is an aloe in my parents garden (5ft1 mom for scale). It’s older than me (37yrs) but I couldn’t say how much older. We used to have several of them but they’ve all toppled down over the years.

I’d love to try support this one somehow to extend its lifespan as it has got a worrying lean. What would be the best method for this? I was thinking of driving a 4m pole into the ground next to it and welding some sort of hoop to the top of the pole, so it goes around the trunk preventing it from toppling over.

Is it worth doing this? Or is it a matter of when it’s time to fall, it will die anyway?

From my second 'batch' of seeds, my first (sown in december 25) are a Lithops mix. Plenty are showing signs of a second split, so super happy with that. The big Lithops dorotheae is splitting a third time, but hasn't absorbed it's first true leaves yet, so it's not getting any water (and certainly no fertiliser) for at least a week longer. I started a fourth batch of seeds a week ago, my third batch all died because of low humidity paired with neglect, I was busy and forgot to keep them moist, which baby Lithops need. I sowed Lithops gracilidelineata var waldroniae c189, which are super cool and look like brains, and Lithops ruschiorum RH3317, a very smooth green/grey Lithops that reminds me of other mesembs genera.

This store is total SCAM! I originally received a plant that arrived nearly dead, even though I paid almost $50.00 for it. After I contacted the seller, they promised to send a replacement after I revise my negative review. I updated my review in good faith because I believed they would resolve the issue.

The replacement was not shipped until after my opportunity to open an Etsy case had expired. When it finally arrived, it was completely dead, with no leaves and only a dry stem. Now, I have two dead plants and no buyer protection!

Please advise, since I can't open a case on Etsy! THANKS!!

It’s a succulent I’m sure but I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s fascinating. It was on a table with miscellaneous plants, no tags.

I’ve had this guy for a few years, and it has been consistently growing new leaves, and even bloomed the last two years. I haven’t seen any new growth in the last year, any suggestions? I had it potted with another plant, and I was thinking maybe it ran out of room, so last month a repotted it to be by itself. Maybe I just need to be patient as always. Thanks!

One of my houseplants has mealy bugs so treating it and it's closest friends by spraying w 70% isopropyl alcohol. My African Milk Tree isn't too happy. I fear I've done more harm than good. It's turned white in some spots. Has anyone seen this before? Is there anything I can do to save it? Thanks.

This is my Old Man Cactus. The first picture is of him today. Like all old men, hes starting to lose his hair a bit but still has a little on the top to fold over. I use a soft toothbrush to keep him looking sharp. I think he has such character and have enjoyed growing him over the years. Ive seen they have 2 types of Old Lady cactus, and an Old Woman's cactus as well. Maybe I should get him a companion cactus to spend the rest of his days with, although I'm sure she will be much younger than him when I get her. I dont think he will mind much though. Maybe they will have Old Children cacti to raise?! Do you have an Old Man Cactus or Old Lady cactus, or Old Woman's cactus? Id love to see them.
