Diving inside of an excavator in "Koparki" quarry in Jaworzno, Poland

In 1997, the plant under liquidation couldn't pay its bills, the electricity supplier cut off power. The pumps stopped, and within hours the quarry flooded. Due to negligence, some equipment, including two large excavators, was abandoned and now rests at the bottom of the 18m(30ft) deep reservoir.

Highly appreciated The Galeas Freja
The Freja, a sailing cargo vessel built 1865, sits quietly decaying just below the surface. My 4 yo wants to touch it and pick lily pads from the cargo hold. She's certain she can see skeletons in there. I know it's a harmless pile of old timber, but my heart is racing as I bring the skiff closer. What if we get stuck on a jagged bit of wood, and I have to get out to push us free? My heart drops and I feel physically sick as something scrapes across the hull bottom...

First post here! This sub genuinely helped me get comfortable with images like this. Went from mild panic to actually enjoying the thrill of lake/quarry/wreck diving. Wanted to contribute back

This is how industrial waterpumps are tested-the forbidden jacuzzi
I just wanted to see how propeller-pumps work. I found this video on a manufacturer’s website. I think it belongs here.

Crappy Title Anyone else freaked out by pool filters? This is just as scary today as it was when I was a kid
There's a little swinging door that faces the pool to allow water in, and it makes this glup glup sound and sometimes the water splashes up through the hole and makes the lid pop with a grating sound. It's very unsettling and feels almost malevolent.
