Old school outfielders had sunglasses that flipped up and down. Fly ball in the sun, flip em down. Catch it and throw it to the cutoff man, flip em back up

No, because it's harder to see the ball down at ground level when they're on. You only briefly want them on while the ball is up in the sun.
