My pop toss platform
Nothing really complicated or fancy but has definitely made the pitches more realistic and I’m getting more distance

Ever coach a league night team and have a few that most can’t stand because of their lack of ability of playing the sport? Well, kind of in that position.
Yes it’s just league but some of these people don’t play meaningful ball or weekend ball. They want me to replace them with some people that we know better who can play a lot better.
How do yall go about this? Just burn the bridge and cut them and say sorry buddy or something else?
EDIT :
We did not know these people before the league started. They were pick ups from people not being picked up. They aren’t friends or buddies or anything just bodies we picked up bc others were already on teams. Now they want to jump ship and merge a team to be good since both teams have people who aren’t too good. Not friends lol
It’s not an ego thing. I’m not an asshole. Lol

I’m being moved back to 3rd after several years of not playing there. Been working on my prep step, getting into a low stance, and accuracy throwing to first. For the most part it’s been going great, with one exception. If I have to make a play to my right especially if I have to take several steps, I’m not going to get my glove on the ball pretty much ever. The short term solution has been to crowd the line, but I feel like I need to be semi competent at going to my right to feel comfortable playing third long term. Anyone have any advice?

Bats must be single wall all alloy so of course my choices are very very limited. I have an end-loaded Easton Rival, and am looking for something more balanced. Is the Easton Ronin a better choice than the Miken Maniac? How end-loaded is the Demarini Steel? I'm going for contact, not swinging for the fences.

Finally made it to 5 bands on the ProVelocity bat after ~4 weeks of being stuck at 4.
I know this is more of a "baseball swing", but I'm attempting to maximize bat speed and rotational power for the moment until moving on to a more upright cut swing.
One thing I notice is my rear arm elbow is staying low in the load (unlike most high-level swings I see), but I'm finally starting to like the way my trunk and hips are behaving.
(I included a front facing view of a separate swing this same session as well.)
Here are previous videos in historical order oldest to newest:

So I recently got a sponsor and ordered jerseys for my team. The sponsor completely paid for all jerseys. The league starts August 1st. Yesterday, I had a member of the team quit. Not only did they quit for our fall league starting August 1st, they didn’t even finish the league tournament of our current league. Her reasoning for quitting was basically BS and the entire team kinda feels letdown by it. I’m now scrambling to find another player. My question is… should I ask for the jersey back? I don’t know that I’ll have time to get another one ordered and arriving before our first game. But I also don’t want the person to quit to have a free jersey from a team they dipped on at the last minute. Advice?

I’m in Florida, this is my first season. This is my bat from high school softball. I’m not sure if it’s legal for slow pitch.

My town and area has a local slowpitch sub where people can post when they need a sub for the night, or when people want to build a team, etc.
Few weeks back a guy who recently has frequented the sub asked me to join a team he was building and the shirt. Basically asking for the money and decision quick because he was getting the shirts ready.
I didnt even respond because i like keeping my weeks open, im on 2 teams i like already and usually just use the chat to either get subs or sub when im bored at home.
This week someone posted ab out that same guy saying that he took the fees from them and then few days later was telling them the team wasnt happening. Swearing he'd send their money back but never did and basically 10 other people said that guy has run that scam before.
So just a reminder to be careful when joining teams from people you dont know.

This thing is hard AF trying to hit the ball. The ball does some crazy rotation twisting and curving when a pitcher hits. I personally think you need skill to hit it.

I know it’s likely a mental thing for me right…first baby is under 6 months, fighting with my employer over hybrid accommodations for childcare, subsequent potential financial stress from the outcome, and other things. Softball should be the fun outlet. Im only playing church co-ed and we are bad, may only win 2-3 games. I have one real hit and am supposed to be one of our best players. Last year I played high-rec, and E in WSL, I’m not claiming to be a stud but I’m not bad, and would just mash in the same co-ed church league (the only one I play now). Now I’ve been a free out and feel like I’m a traffic cone in field. Do I just take the summer off? I was really looking forward to playing this summer because my family can get outside and be together but what should’ve been a healthy outlet is just bumming me out. I know it’s not that deep but still idk yall.

Since last September I've been working on cleaning up my swing. Getting rid of the waggle, keeping my hands and shoulders up, and keeping a coil/load/drive through the ball.
This past Sunday the swing was working for me. Was able to get a recording on this home run, and hit 2 more between 2 games.
Still looking for further critique/drilling to work on though!

I feel like my hands are dropping too much. What drills can help with that? Any other pointers are appreciated. Thank you!

The inner pad covers are peeling away from the pads. Any suggestions or suggestions to make it more comfortable in general?

Shortstop. Can’t get it to first anymore. All over the place.
Any advice?

New to slow pitch and got this bat a few months ago, still under warranty, can’t tell if it’s just a paint chip or if it’s cracked. Doesn’t sound much different when hitting.

I know about the kinetic arm and plan on getting one here with my next VA check…. But has anybody bought one from let’s say Amazon or local that helped out their pain in their throwing arm?
I was told it was most likely my rotator cuff and a lot of people recommended the kinetic arm brace. But can’t afford it and have a tournament this weekend coming up. Can’t afford to miss work for surgery right now so it’s not an option. This winter im getting it done
I’m also going to get some bands and try the exercises before this weekend and such that everybody recommends too

For context, I fractured my wrist back in June and I've been on the IL since. I'm working on getting motion back on my wrist, but I feel as if the best way to adjust moving forward, so swinging isn't as much of a pain as I'm regaining strength, is to switch to the other side of the plate. Whether I commit or not, I have to fix my swing, so to me, I might as well attempt it and was wondering if anyone who bats lefty or switches has any advice. I'm extremely fast, so I think I'd be able to best out some throws until I can put the ball in the air again. Any arm/hand conditioning tools would also be appreciated. Thank you for reading.

As most anyone who plays semi-seriously or more, you know pre-ordering a bat from Monsta is usually a pretty dumb thing to do… scratch that, very dumb thing to do
But they just put the OG Platinum DNA up for pre-order and according to Carl, grain of salt of course, they’re already in production and should land in 2-3 weeks… and it’s just too sick of a bat to pass up on
And it comes in 27oz and I was looking for something other than a 25oz which is what most of the Monsta’s from EHP and places like that to seem to be

I have a lot of fun showing the pop toss and live bp sessions but this is where I really developed my swing, around 2-3 what I would consider good rounds before I ever bring a machine out is hitting the ball in the same spot and having the same result in the net every time, still a work in progress turning this into my live swing but for everyone curious how I changed my swing so fast this is how. And honestly there’s been nothing fast about the process, just smooth slow reps until it sticks.

Looking for some input for a USSSA bat. I want a one piece bat. I found some brand new bats from last year. 2025 Genesis, 2025 Axe Fury and a 2025 Marucci Cypher Fia model. Unfortunately no one on my team or league has any of these bats. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you

This bat seems to be what I’m looking for, but I can’t really find reviews anywhere. Does anyone have this bat, and how do you like it? I don’t particularly want to spend nearly $300 to just hope it’s good.
