i've done this for a bunch of founders over the last month and it's the same story every single time, so i'll keep going.

quick context so this doesn't read like some rando offering: i've launched 8 products, done millions of organic reddit views with zero ad spend, ran growth for a YC backed company, and lovable flew me out to their HQ at 18. reddit's been the engine behind basically all of it. but that's not the point.

the point is what doing this over and over taught me. your customers are already on reddit right now, today, posting about the exact problem your product solves. they're just not in the room you're posting in. most founders drop their launch in r/startups and r/SaaS, which is a crowd of other builders who will never buy anything, and then wonder why nothing happens. meanwhile the people who'd actually pay are two subreddits over, complaining about the thing you fix, with no idea you exist.

a guy in my DMs last week sells a tool for pet sitters. his customers weren't in any "startup" sub, they were in a community of sitters ranting about how big a cut the big platforms take from every booking. that's the whole game. find the room where they're already frustrated, be genuinely useful in it, and let them come to you.

The workflow is:

• Save a link without deciding its final location.
• Let it enter Triage.
• Move real reading commitments to the Reading List.

I’m a brand designer, and I built ExportFolio because I kept repeating the same portfolio task.

The work was already finished on Behance, then I needed a PDF, a website, or a backup I could actually keep. Browser print broke the page, screenshots flattened the work, and rebuilding everything in InDesign only made sense when the portfolio itself needed a completely new story.

So I built a workflow around the work that was already published.

ExportFolio takes public Behance work you own or have permission to export and packages it into a few different formats:

• Email PDF pack: aims for 5 MB

I have zero background in trades but I saw the same pattern with small service businesses in the US and Europe, painters especially, they're paying a lot for industry software that's bloated. per user, per month plans, for features most of them never touch.

For sure this is the gap so I built a dead-simple version that does the two things they actually struggle with, quotes and scheduling crews without double-booking. That's it. I'm not really a developer either, I just described what I wanted and built on a combination of claude + emergent.

I’ve been looking into a problem that keeps coming up for independent fashion founders: having an idea is easy, but turning that idea into a finished product is where things get complicated.

The gap isn’t just finding a factory. It’s everything around it, understanding samples, comparing production options, figuring out costs, managing communication, and making sure the final piece matches the original vision.

The idea I found interesting is creating a more streamlined workflow where a designer can move from concept to production without having to learn every part of the manufacturing process from scratch.

While exploring existing approaches, I came across a platform, which focuses on helping fashion creators manage steps like sourcing, sampling, production, quality checks, and delivery. Looking at platforms like this helped me understand how much complexity exists behind even a small clothing project.

I think there’s still a lot of room for better tools in this space, especially for independent creators who don’t have a production team.

I've spent the past few months building VibeMe AI, a side project that helps musicians and creators turn songs and static images into animated, lip-synced music videos for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

It's been exciting seeing people use it, but now that I'm getting real usage, I've run into two challenges that I'm hoping other builders here have already solved.

On the technical side, video generation isn't instant. Even a 15-second video can take around a minute to render because the backend relies on custom ComfyUI and Stable Diffusion workflows running across decentralized GPU providers. The results are good, but asking users to stare at a loading screen for that long clearly isn't ideal.

I'm debating between a few approaches:

• Keeping users engaged with a richer loading experience.
• Letting them leave the page and notifying them when the video is ready.
• Some combination of both.

For those who've built products with asynchronous workflows, what ended up providing the best user experience?

The second challenge is balancing growth with infrastructure costs.

GPU time adds up quickly, so while I want to offer free daily generations to reduce friction and collect feedback, it's also easy to imagine bots or heavy free users consuming resources faster than a small project can sustain.

For anyone who's launched a bootstrapped AI product, how did you structure your free tier or trial without letting compute costs get out of control? Did you limit generations, introduce credits, gate features, or take a different approach entirely?

I'm also curious whether you'd prioritize reducing render time first or focus on monetization and user retention while accepting slower generation speeds during the MVP stage.
