My son eat every day for breakfast some Loacker Maxi and I’ve just noticed they have switched from 5 layers of chocolate to 4. The price still the same. What a bad move, very disappointed about that.

It feels like prices keep going up every time I go shopping.

What's one everyday item that makes you think,

There's no way it's worth that much now?

New Buckley's Lozenges Extra Strength Menthol Outburst

Bought the new Buckley's Lozenges Extra Strength Menthol Outburst and it seems like they have gotten smaller (older Buckley's Lozenge on the left side to compare).

discussion A strong voice

Emailing , bitching online etc won't get us anywhere. Take the enshitified item to checkout. Ask for manager. Voice concern and let them restock it. Hopefully the pita factor amounts to real concern on retailers to pressure manufacturers to straighten out. If every shopper did this continually it would definitely bring results. Just one item . He'll maybe a group effort for a specific item nationally each week .

Shrinkflation Dairy milk 360g bar now 345g!

Cadbury's at it again!

Just got the "new" stock in yesterday. 15g less for the same astronomical £5.50 price. Tricking you by keeping the face size the same, just making it thinner.

The tube of spiking glue on the left cost $6.99 and was 6 oz. I bought that months ago. The one on the right is 8.45 oz and was $9.49. Not just a larger package, but also a better value! For once.

discussion Since when did Kar's Sweet N Salty Trail Mix downsized from a 40oz bag to a 34oz?

I used to buy these alot, and they were like $9 for a 40oz bag at Walmart.

It been discontinued for a few months, or at least I wasn't able to buy it at my local Walmart.

Now Walmart has them again but $7 for a 34oz. But the bag, to me, looks the same?

Did they just removed abit of the plastic on the top of these bags, cuz I know they never seem to fill them up to the top on the 40oz, but these 34oz are all filled closely to the top now.

idk maybe im the only one that weirdly noticed this small change i guess.

Shrinkflation IKEAs chicken filet cut in half

We had lunch at IKEA in one of the stores in Stockholm, Sweden and both took chicken breast filet. I asked for more veggies and no chips which I got.

But the chicken was simply cut in half. Same with the other plate and same for others around us too.
The sales sign and IKEAs web show a full filet but they serve them in halves nowadays.

Bought a replacement shower curtain liner. Turns out it’s a couple inches shorter than what used to be the standard size, so now it doesn’t block water from running out onto the floor. Whose great idea was this?

Shrinkflation Walmart Frozen Fruit Shrinkflation

Bags of frozen cherries and berries used to be 600g for $4.44 in Ontario. Recently, I noticed that the bags have been reduced to 500g, and the price has gone up to $4.66.

The quantity has decreased by 100g and the price has increased by $0.20.

discussion Dove Shrinkflation

Please tell me someone else has noticed that Dove keeps not only reducing the size of products but also lowering the concentration of aluminum in the deodorant/antiperspirants… It used to be my favorite but I don’t think I can continue buying from them if it continues. I mean, if you don’t want aluminum, buy a different deo. My antiperspirant shouldn’t have to suffer :( It used to be 15+% for a stick, now it’s like 12.8%. and the spray was 17% and now it’s barely 15%.

One of the best deals available will soon be no more .... Instead of unlimited drinks you will get a maximum of 30 a month... Even on 31 day months

Price remains $14.99 a month

I usually go twice a day so....

I hate it here.

I used to have these a lot when i was younger. I remember opening the box and finding 6 choco mallows wrapped in foil just sitting in the box with no additional packaging. Rebought them again today and realized that despite the box being the same size, they used plastic packaging (that used to not be there!!!!) to make the mallows "fit" in the box like they used to. 💔 (first photo from google to compare old vs new size)

(If this is the wrong subreddit, please point me in the right direction. Thank you!)

I went shopping for my partner today because the strawberry smuckers went bad. Realized there was only "sandwich spread" and "jam style spread" and no real jam

Gives the same energy the icecream Drumsticks being changed to a "frozen milk product" because of all the substitutions and alterations. Gross

Pic 1 old jam, pic 2 new "jam", pic 3 and 4 are of the store

As I held the 725 in my hand I was doing the math with the 600 one compared to the Value Size of 500, confused why it was nowhere near a good deal I went to put the one in my hand back and discovered I mine had 725, which made more sense for the price.

Shrinkflation Reuzel pomade: 4oz to 3.38oz, same price

Post image
24 Upvotes

Ah, the classic packaging redesign that should set off red flags every time you see it.

Same product, but 15% less for the same price ($22).

They published a page on their website addressing backlash when they first launched it, and they are leading with "3.38oz is TSA-friendly!" as their chief excuse. Great - then either charge 15% less or have two SKUs for each size, priced appropriately.

(FWIW, I travel around the country 2-3x month and carried my 4oz pomade tin every time and never once had an issue with TSA.)

Reuzel isn't even backed by private equity, so I was surprised to see this.
