Doing a triple masuda hunt for the 3 starters before I finally get the DLC, and the first one finally shined. This was the 912th Quaxly. Hopefully the other 2 don't take nearly as long

been shiny hunting my favourite pokemon game on and off for about eight months now in search of Lillipup, made three other friends along the way instead. maybe one day i'll find him but loving the journey so far regardless. super rewarding

2 encounters before this, I realized my Harvest exeggutor wasn't holding a leppa berry. Super lucky that I caught that in time, this guy took a ton of ultra balls and ate a couple of leppa berries on the way. It was probably at least 400 encounters over the last few days.

So this copy of platinum only has 7 badges and so only pokemon up to level 70 will listen to me if they're from another game. So I sent a shroomish egg to platinum, hatched it so it would have platinums trainer ID, and then trained it in another game to level 80. I did all this with the future Giratina hunt in mind. One thing I gave too little consideration towards was the ability it had, effect spore, I saw it could poison but in all the training I did it never did that so I figured I could run those odds. Well on the third sneasel I false swipe it, it hits me, gets poisoned, dies. Then the same thing happened again with the 4th sneasel. So the shinies shown in the video are actually the 1st, 2nd, and 5th shiny sneasel from the hunt. Needless to say I'm training up a new breloom with poison heal instead of effect spore.

TLDR I lied in my last post, I do in fact not still have it

I love Torkoal, I set up this savannah zone in order to maybe get one for the at least the last three Safari Weeks I’ve participated in.
I was fully prepared for it to run, especially after 3 balls with no shakes. But I actually caught him!

13422 encounters total. The previous two phases were a Budew then Roselia. started this hunt 2-3 years ago after successfully finding a Carnivine.

My overall Safari Zone record is up to 2-3, with both successes being my targets!
