After listening to Emmy Rossum’s recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, it prompted me to go back and listen to an old episode with Emma Kenney and she mentions the nudity request and her reasons for declining. Although, Fiona’s nude scenes were some of my favorites, I would’ve felt like a perv seeing Debbie in nude scenes on the show. This may be the only time I’ve thought this, but I think she made the right call deciding not to do nudity for this show/character.

I just rewatched this episode, and I'm genuinely confused. What exactly did Ian do wrong? Did he force Mickey out of the closet for his own sake, or because he wanted Mickey to be able to be himself?

Ian knew how Mickey's dad would react, so why did he want him to come out? I understand wanting to be open about their relationship, but Ian also knew it wasn't safe.

Who do you think was the perfect match for Frank like his someone who matched his level of crazy like a soulmate?

sammi is one of the most hated characters in the show, and i don't really get why...? her major events include: completely abandoned by frank. getting seduced by him. having an intellectually disabled son that she really cares about. having that son's life ruined because his half-brother coerces him into carrying hard drugs, and then everyone being mad at her for not letting him take the complete fall. almost murdered. i gotta be missing something right?

Excluding the periods where he was explicitly said to be sober (in seasons 1, 4 and 8, but maybe he still doing drugs at those times??)

Are we good? No one here yet that hasn't been this far in the show? I'm doing this for all my people who are tired of all the spoilers.

Anyone who is reading beyond this point wants to be spoiled or has gotten this far. I'm not going to recant how I got to this point at this time in my life. This is a semi-rewatch, didn't get past season 9 in 2020. Which was a drunken binge for me on Netflix in the first few weeks of covid. So this is really a full watch for me over the past 6 months. And the last season is all about that time in covid. Full circle, I guess.

Frank has alcoholic dementia. That's where I'm at right now. The reveal of the end of that episode. Because of the spoilers I knew that Frank dies at The Alibi, without knowing the specifics. I've been treating it as if it wasn't a spoiler, we all knew he would at some point for the show to end. But knowing this, knowing he's going to die but not exactly how... hits too close to home for me.

My father was an alcoholic my entire life. Not the entertaining Frank way, just depressing. Not vocal or violent, just drunk and asleep. Just physically there, but not actually there if that makes sense. But also, when he was awake scheming all the time. Not on Frank's level at any means. But that's what I grew up with. And in later years, I had nothing to do with him. I was the youngest and got the brunt of it in childhood. But my older sister had to deal with it, until his death 11 years ago.

Without going further into it, I was told that he was diagnosed with Alcoholic Dementia. Which made sense from what I was hearing at the time. He died from his alcohol and drug use, which in the end from what I understand hadn't happened in years. Actually I'm speaking out of context. I don't really know the details. They kept me out of the loop about this, and even when I ask to this day I get vague answers.

Because I wanted nothing to do with my father after one point in my life after hearing things after my parents divorce. Like 15 years after the divorce, hearing what really happened from my mother. I didn't have much to do with him up until that point, because he was so far gone to me.

His death meant nothing to me. He was no father to me. Good fucking riddance. And I'm seeing this and it's hitting too close to home. Everything that happened with my father at the end, how he was behaving was alcoholic dementia. And I don't know the details, bc I don't want to know and I don't have to know. But I do ask here and there over the years, bc I want clarification and I get little tidbits here and there from family members. We're poor Alabama southerners, same difference than this show. Huge family, related on both sides of my family. Not directly, not kissing cousins. Just that in that rural aspect of Alabama, down the line a little bit, we're related. I mean my father's side is so big publicly that I have a relative that was a senator/congressman/law maker of Alabama a few years ago. I don't get into politics so I don't remember what it was exactly.

So I'm not ready to see more. I'm putting off watching the end of this series and after that episode. That was too heavy for me.

Hear me out for a brief second it seemed like frank cared a little bit about liam. He actually put some significant effort into getting liam into private school. And then he pulls a frank and sleeps with all the moms and gets him kicked out. I was genuinely disappointed in frank

She raised her siblings since her childhood but mostly everyone in this fandom doesnt hold her accountable for the mistakes she does, even if its a horrible & nasty one (example; cheating on her partners not once but twice) all because she wasted her childhood away. all the siblings contributed in some ways it wasnt her 100% credit.

I feel like Fiona is not the right messenger to tell Debbie not to keep her baby. I do agree that Debbie going through with the pregnancy was a mistake and and cost her the bit of childhood Debbie has left but with Fiona's track record and what Debbie can obviously see, of course she wouldn't take Fiona's advice! She doesn't take Fiona seriously. What do yall think??

Does this bother anyone else? We know Ian was the top with Mickey and Kash always, but I’m sorry it’s not believable at all that he was topping Ned. Even when Ned gets in bed with Lip mistaking him for Ian , Lip says “he tried to go balls deep on me”.

When Ian did that porno in season 5 I assumed he bottomed because I thought that was implied (correct me if I’m wrong). And in season 6 when he meets Caleb and he asks Ian “do you ever pitch” obviously Ian thinks he means tops and says “USUALLY but I’m open depending on what you’re into”. Usually meaning usually and not always.

Then he tells Trevor he’s never bottomed? I know I’m reading into this too much but some of the plot holes in the show really bother me.

Binged the whole show in like 2.5 weeks or so. But I noticed it was so many holes to fill in certain storyline. Certain things just disappeared vanished or floated away

This might be a spoiler if you haven't gotten this far to season 11. But it's not really. Mickey's reaction and responses are fucking hilarious! Because he's so right, that is exactly what alcoholics say.

Started watching the show and I saw animal abuse of a cat in the introduction? Is there alot of animal abuse in the show specifically to cats? Its a no for me. help would be appreciated. Thank you

I’m on my first rewatch in years, and I stopped watching when Fiona left. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to finish the series this time, but…I’m on 7x4 and forgot how much I love this season. Seeing Fiona finally stand up for herself to the rest of the gang? Hell yes. Her calling Lip an arrogant shit? Needed his hypocritical ass to be told off three seasons ago. Debbie having tantrums because of the reality of having a kid, as if Fiona didn’t warn her over and over again and try to stop it. Seeing Debbie miserable brings me so much joy. Selfish lil b-word to vag-trap someone into having a baby with her and refuse to take any and all accountability before, during, and after, while forcing her family to contend with the fallout of it after not listening to a damn factual thing they tried to tell her, and being such a hypocrite. “I can do this on my own, I’m a strong woman” meanwhile she’s constantly asking for help.

I just loooove seeing Fiona finally choose herself over her ungrateful shitty family. And I’m probably in the minority but I think I shipped Ian and Trevor more than Ian and Mickey.
