Health Sciences point system
does anyone know why the point system is now solely based on GPA? I feel like now with this system I shouldn’t have even bothered applying :(

I started this sub about 10 years ago when I was a Santa Fe student and then didn't do much with it because I was, to my surprise, accepted to a position at Shands I had applied for and stopped attending Santa Fe.
I don't want to abandon the sub and feel like it can still be a useful resource. So even though I'm no longer a student I'm going to try making it more useful. Right now I'm just looking for one or two people that are current students that I can add as mods.
The main expectations I have of any mods I add are
Look at /r/ufl for what I mean. If you want to be a mod, use the contact the moderators link and include a picture of your Santa Fe ID and your Reddit username (in the same picture in case that's not obvious). Feel free to block out personal data.

it is impossible to get transcripts processed, I had transcriots sent over a month ago and they still haven't put them in. The only way I have been able to contact the registrar and the transcript evaluators is through email and they are unhelpful in every way. They ask question after questions while also doing nothing to help. I have been told wait until they eventually will even if that means I can't sign up for classes I require.

Has anyone gotten an academic misconduct report?

I've just emailed the FA office, but after prior experiences, I'm not super confident I'll even get a response back lol. Asking here as well in case anyone is having a similar experience.
Does anyone else have no offers showing in the "financial aid" tab of the FA portal?
I don't have any outstanding documents, I've submitted my 2026-27 FAFSA already, I'm in good SAP standing, etc. There just isn't anything there. Since the Fall semester is fast approaching, it's starting to concern me to see nothing there in terms of the aid I'm expecting to receive. Kind of would like to verify what my finances are going to look like before classes actually start...

Hii! I’m a freshman coming this fall, I made my schedule based on what I could find from rate my professors and similar websites. Any insight from someone who’s taken these courses would be helpful! (Btw I’m 100% committed to my studies, my plan is to get an A.A to transfer to UF)

Has anyone in the GE@SF program or anyone in general received AP Credits awarded this year? My Academic Advisor said they would be automatically transferred to my unofficial transcripts after they were posted, yet never had. I've been emailing the register office (getting a response every 1 or 2 days) and unable to get a hold of them via number.
I understand they are busy and everything with FA or admissions or what not. But all I need is my Calc 1, Calc 2, and College Chem 1 + Lab credit, thats all :(

Parent posting for my son. He moved out of his room at The Crossing at Santa Fe but is still stuck with the lease through July 31, 2027, so we're looking for a student to take his spot for 2026–2027.
- $586/month, furnished room
- The Crossing at Santa Fe — right by Santa Fe College, easy for UF too
- 2 current roommates, both students, quiet and keep to themselves
- You'd sign a new lease directly with The Crossing; no transfer fee
- To make it easy, we'll cover your first month's rent + the application fee
Not a scam — just helping my son out of a double-rent situation. Comment or DM and I'll reach out. Thanks!

I'm so done with this fucking school. For the last few years it has been one problem after another from the, the FA office constantly screwing up, causing students to have more problems than we should, and for some of use they never fully fix it and don't give one solid shit that they're screwing someone out of their degree. I'm down to the last three classes of my degree, they shut off my FA because I had to drop classes in the past due to their fuck ups with FA, and due to covid back when that was an issue. Now they are holding all of that against me, even classes that they said dropping would have no effect due to it being their own fault that it happened with the FA issues. On top of that, if I just wanted to finish the three classes by borrowing from someone else, I can't even fucking do that because inexplicably they have raised the price on one of my classes to cost four to five times as much as it did when I dropped it in the past.
These three classes are supposed to be free for me to begin with, for one because they had told us before that if we need to retake classes due to the FA misshaps, that it would be paid for, however, I had applied for that grant when announced, and it seems that they decided I don't get that despite them saying students could in the past. To top it off, they keep moving the goal posts on getting my FA reinstated, at first they said to file an appeal, I needed my information, a description of why my SAP was as it was, and an obituary for my grandfather that also passed away during the middle of all of this. Then when I sent that it, they suddenly said that is not enough information, I need birth certificates from me and my dad to prove relation to my grandfather from the obituary, despite my name being in the fucking obituary as a surviving family. I also need a letter written by someone not family saying that due to the problems FA had in the past, I had financial issues and dropped classes, and also that I had financial issues during covid.
How the hell do I find someone not in my family that's willing to attest to all of this, or that could attest to it without being outright fraud because there's no fucking way they could know that I was in financial distress back then, seeing as I don't socialize or know many people outside my family? I'm so fucking over this school, they're fine if you have enough money to not need FA, but they really don't fucking care about you if you need to be on FA to get your degree, and will drain you for every fucking penny you have. They had already fucked me over before by lying to me and telling me the degree I wanted didn't exist back when I first started school, and tricked me onto a degree path I didn't fucking want, just to find out later they did have the degree I wanted and had it all along. Now i'm in four years for two associates degrees, and almost 80k in the hole for it, FOR ASSOCIATES DEGREES. Fuck this school, Fuck this city, Fuck this state and their bullshit hatred for the poor.

Question!
I complete all my requirements for my AA degree by the beginning of August. I put in my application to graduate however I’m confused on when graduation is. Also I’m confused if I’d be participating in the coming up graduation or the Fall graduation? I hope this makes sense and that someone can help with this info given. 😭

I've never set foot in the US before, but I'm currently writing a novel set in Gainesville, where the main characters attend SF. I've been trying to get a list of all the departments from this page (https://www.sfcollege.edu/departments.html), but the table doesn't load (at least for me).
Does anyone have a full list of all the departments, their respective buildings, and a list of room numbers for classrooms? I'd really appreciate it.

New student transfering to Santa Fe college, for some reason I am not able to login using the password I used for admissions. If I try to reset my password, I put in my email to send a code and never get a code. Not in my spam, and I know that it's the correct email. Waited on the phone an hour and a half for them to tell me after I explained the situation a couple times that "It's been happening and IT's been working on it." They have no idea when it's going to be fixed and told me to just keep trying. Worried about registering for my classes in time, also told me I couldn't meet with an advisor in person for them to register classes for me. Any suggestions besides just sitting and waiting around?

I have been emailing back and forth with the FA office and they told me I wasn’t getting my Pell grant for my summer b class because I was registered for AMH2020 on 6/15 but all I did was switch from A&P2 to a history class, I was always enrolled in a Summer term, Summer A, and Summer B class. I had two disbursements showing on the portal then when my first came through the second disappeared and that’s when I reached out to the FA office, she said I wasn’t getting the summer B Pell but last night I showed up on my portal and then today my esantafe showed a registration stop for student repayment of $924 and then now 2 hours later the stop is gone and this “cashier misc” is showing on my account summary..
What does this mean?
