Getting in was half the fun. You have to push open a cat statue to enter, otherwise you’d probably think you’re at the wrong place.

The zodiac-themed cocktails are the highlight.

Also tried the cat-shaped mousse cake, which was surprisingly good.

The place has a cool, surreal vibe, even the restroom has a Buddha statue. Our group got seated in a small room with a little altar, which felt a bit creepy but memorable.

I've been here a few times and it's one of the best date spots imo!!

I know many universities require proof of a fixed bank balance of around 20 million KRW for international students.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows of universities in Seoul that are more flexible about this requirement, or that accept a lower amount depending on the student’s circumstances or financial sponsor.

I would really appreciate recommendations from students who have actually applied recently, especially if you know of universities that don’t strictly require exactly 20 million KRW for the admission/visa process.

its not one of those famous skyline shots u always see. no big tower or giant river or crazy intersections. just a dark hill with some regular houses, a few tall buildings way in the back, and those narrow streets glowing under the yellow lights. that is kinda what i love about it tho. the city can feel so massive and loud when ur down in the main areas. but looking down from up here, the residential parts have a completely different energy. everything just slows down. it feels like every single lighted window has its own little story going on.

i shot this on my phone and ran it through retrica to keep that heavy shadow look instead of making it all bright and artificial. people use lightroom or vsco all the time to clean things up but sometimes that just kills the vibe. i wanted it to feel more like an old memory than some polished thing. the shadows stayed deep and the streetlights stayed warm. thats what made it work for me. feels more raw and real instead of like some shiny tourist ad.

I'm an incoming exchange student considering Seoul National University Business School, but I'm trying to decide whether it's too risky for my graduation timeline.

To graduate at my home university, I only need these two required courses:

• 251.205 – Principles of Accounting
• 251.320 – Operations Management

My other 3 courses are electives, so these are the only courses I'm concerned about.

For those who have studied at SNU Business (or know someone who has):

• Were you able to get required Business courses?
• If a course was full, what options did you have?
• Do professors or departments ever approve additional students?
• Is there any quota reserved for exchange students?
• How often do students get into courses during the add/drop period?

I've been teaching myself to build things with AI coding tools and needed a project I'd actually finish. I watch a lot of Sung Si-kyung's Muktende, so I just started saving the places from the channels I already watch and it turned into this.

We're thinking about spending 2–3 months in Asia and are considering either Seoul or Busan as our main base during that time, and would then make several trips around South Korea and to Japan & China during that period. I'll continue working part-time remotely for my European employer, so we're looking for a place that's comfortable for a longer stay.

What are the best options for short-term accommodation besides hotels? Ideally, we'd like to rent a private apartment (or something similar) for the duration of our stay without paying crazy hotel prices. I know some friends made a similar agreement with an AirBnB host in Japan, but it was more of a grey area thing.

30s/M US citizen currently in Seoul through Sunday and looking to both explore during the day and go out at night. I've explored Myeongdong and Hongdae the last few days to great success but just relocated to the Inspire resort in Incheon and realized I've made a terrible mistake - it's absolutely dead here, spiritually and socially. I'm wanting to connect with other English speakers and am considering a ticketed bar crawl in Itaewon on the weekend but at the moment don't have too many other ideas. Mostly looking to take in new sights during the day wherever I can, then socialize and adventure at night. Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated.

I’ve been living in Seoul for a bit now, and while language exchange meetups are fine, they often feel a bit superficial or transactional. I really want to find a chill, natural space or activity where foreigners and locals can just hang out without the pressure of "teaching/learning" a language.

Hey, I’m a 17F (turning 18 soon) from Tunisia and I’m planning a trip to Korea before January.

I’m trying to figure out the best timing.

My schedule is:

• Early-Mid Oct: AS Computer Science and maybe Physics retakes
• November: free + Bday !!
• December: preparing for Pure 1 + Pure 2 Maths retakes in january
• January onwards : math retakes and A2 prep starts

So realistically it’s Nov vs Early Dec.

Summer is out (too hot/ humid + rainy season), September is start of the year and will be revising for retakes , so ye..

Things I’m looking forward to:

Hi everyone,

I’m moving to South Korea soon and I’ve booked my accommodation through Enkostay.
For my ARC application, Enkostay will provide the Residence Confirmation (RC) document that proves I’m living at that address.

The problem is that I don’t have a Korean phone number yet because I’ll only get one after I arrive in Korea. I do have a Dutch phone number.
Enkostay told me that they allow me to put my Dutch phone number on the RC document, but they also said they can’t guarantee whether Immigration will accept it.

Has anyone applied for an ARC in the same situation? Is it okay to have a foreign phone number on the Residence Confirmation document, or does it have to be a Korean number? Also, is there an official office or contact I can reach out to in order to get a definitive answer before I submit my application?
