hello! seeking advice about scholarships

• Upvotes

i'm currently in the process of applying for a scholarship that our church offers and am waiting for an update about the interview, i was just wondering if it's possible that i pay the enrollment fee for my school and proceed to pay the rest of my tuition (monthly) with the scholarship? it's one of these 3am thoughts since i've been plagued with overthinking everything since enrollment ends this month and i haven't gotten a single update about the interview. please do not judge my post, i am passionate about learning but due to financial instability it's been hard trying to find an affordable school. has there been an instance like the situation i'm asking about? thank you in advance! the church hands out cheques for payment (if that is relevant)

Seeking advice for fully funded scholarships.

• Upvotes

Hello! I'm a student from batch 27. I got gpa 4 in SSC. Ik it might sound shocking but I've improved a lot and hoping for a solid 5 in HSC. I did some volunteering activities in the past like scouting and attended a few programs and earned certificates. My question is what should I do next to gain a full funded scholarship in abroad. I can work hard. I Wanna cover every fees by myself while studying abroad. Is it possible to get a fully funded scholarship? Seeking for advice.

Best place to find scholarships?

Hi, I’m an Aerospace Engineering student at SDSU and I’ve applied to a few scholarships (Sallie Mae and the SDSU Scholarship Application) to no avail. Where are the best free places online to find scholarships, and are there any specifically for engineering students?

If a company has a scholarship, should my essay/video be focused on just my interests or also make sure it aligns with the company's goals and actively mention the company?

I'm looking at a few scholarship's that non-science companies have made. For example, Dr.pepper or Cards Against Humanity. For Cards Against Humanity the prompt actually says it's for engineering students which is me. Should I connect my passion to the company's goals/ product? Or should I just stick to what I am interested in? For example, my major connects to food engineering so I could talk about that for dr.pepper.

how many?

Hi! I was wondering for those who have won scholarships how many you sent out! And how long did it take? Do I have to be extremely intelligent to win one? I'm losing hope as an average undergrad student. I already have two jobs and I cannot pay my tuition.

Bold.org Scholarships link to unlock priority access so i dont miss my tuition payment

Hi friends!

Posting this link to see if I can get sooner access to some scholarships on Bold.org. I just started using it today because my school (Paradise Valley Community College in Arizona) is experiencing delays getting financial aid processed and im worried about getting the funds on time. I will take out a loan if i reaaallly have to, but of course I'd like to not have to lol.

So if anyone is interested, Bold.org has scholarships that are really easy to apply to, and i feel comfortable using them because of a good review i saw here on reddit. I'd just need two people to use the link to create an account, but I won't take it personally at all if no one is interested.

Thanks so much for reading! here's the link: https://bold.org/scholarships/bold-org-top-friend-scholarship/nomination/#win-excellent-educational-scholarships-for-current-students-deadline-upcoming-2

Where can I find more scholarship for first generation adults?

I am a first-generation Latina who is in my 20s going to university for the first time. My niches include having mental illnesses and ADHD. I only get $11,000 a year if that counts for a low income scholarship. I applied to scholarships on fastweb, scholarship360, and bold.com but haven’t won anything yet. 😄 I didn’t get much from fafsa, so I really need help paying for school. Thank you for any recommended scholarships.

Anyone heard from congressional black caucus foundation about scholarships?

Has anyone heard back from cbcf about any scholarships at all? I have been waiting to hear back from the reducing financial barrier scholarship, and they have not gotten back to me. I've called them a couple times, and they always say they're backlogged but they'll get back to us in two weeks....and then two weeks passes and it's still nothing. im really frustrated and tired atp

How to trauma dump in a college application?? (TW)

Im applying for as many scholarships as possible, and one of them is an equity scholarship. It's asking me to describe how I overcame hardship as a person from a marginalized community and how i'd be supported by a scholarship. However, I have to write this all in under 250 words which is fucking insane to me like what can I even write with that many words?

I'm going for a law degree and the reason I'm passionate about the justice system is because I was bullied for being queer but it got to the point of my friends and i being made fun of for self harming, having mental illnesses, and attempting suicide. I swear that's relevant to queerness because of the strong association between poor mental health and queer students guys I'm not making this up like how people would make fun of someone's SH scars and end their sentence with a queer slur or calling queer friend groups suicide squad (I'm just saying this so I don't get responses of people acting like they have nothing to do with each other).

So that's like pretty graphic stuff and I don't know if the college would like that very much but at the same time there was no justice whatsoever for this experience and that fueled my anger and passion for fighting for other oppressed communities that NEVER face any justice because of this corrupt system. But also because I'm clearly an academic genius as you can surely tell from my writing skills, so I want to include that despite this major set back and everycunt trying to convince me to kms, I still managed to get really good academic and contribution awards because I wanted to prove everyone wrong. So how the fuck do I sum this up in 250 words? What do I cut out? Because maybe being made fun of for mental health is irrelevant to being queer and the reader will think I'm crazy. How do I include that this scholarship would help not only my future but my future clients if I hopefully become a lawyer?

This all sounds really stupid I swear when I'm feeling less conflicted I actually sound pretty smart

I have decided I would like to set up a scholarship at a local criminal justice college for my late father who was a LEO , how does one do this? Are there guides on the legal or other documents needed to even approach the school with this?

I've really been wanting to use Bold.org to apply for scholarships, but I don't know if the usernames on the site are important. Should they be my name, or things I like ? I honestly don't know. If there's anyone here who won a Bold.org scholarship , I'd love to hear from you.

Hearthstone Housing Foundation Scholarship awardees notification when?

So I applied to the Hearthstone Housing Foundation Scholarship, and I made it to the interview round. Their website says they notify awardees in July but I haven't heard anything from them. I haven't heard from other people as well, so I'm not sure if results have even come out. Have any finalists heard back? Its near the end of July and I'm not sure if I should just lose hope
