Locked Junk Guy delivered this on Saturday
It weighs 125 pounds but is supposed to weigh 137 pounds empty… so it is a mystery.
Working on getting it open now!

When my family moved to this house about 13 hrs ago. There was this safe in the basement. I was a preteen so I just thought it was cool. However now I am an adult living in season 6 of unprecedented times and I figured why not try to see what's in it. I made random attempts here and there as a teenager with dreams of random wealth. But I would love advice from people who know what they are doing. Thanks in advance!

I love this sub from afar and I love reading the comments but it does seem to be a not unsurprising fact that most safes are empty.
Turning that around a bit, but what's the best/random/scsry/surprising/other adjective goes her thing you have found?

I found this floor safe on a building demo that I did. The structure was built in the 30's and the owner had no idea it was in the building that he owned for over 20 years. Long story short, he said to get rid of it so here I am trying to see what's inside. I picked the lock so the lid moves freely now from left to right but still won't lift at the end of a clockwise turn. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Hi guys I have a Rottner Comsafe 55L fire safe with no mechanical emergency key. The keypad is not accepting the code that I have been using for the past 2 years ?! It blinks red - I don’t understand how this is possible. Unless i have the onset on dementia.
I’ve changed the battery’s. I don’t know what else to do?! Rottner aren’t being very helpful. Can I drill into it? Because I’ll be damned if I can’t get my stuff out.

Friend owns an old house - office building with a Diebold Cafe & Lock Co. safe. When we rotate the dial we can hear and feel some “tumblers” clicking and engaging. Any safecracker experts have opinions, thoughts, hints? P.S. I briefly reviewed
Some other posts of a similar nature and will read more in detail to see if there are any hints. Thanks in advance.

Anyone know how to get the key out? It won’t come out either way and I don’t know the code

Received a Gary safe - the sort found in a convenience store - from a neighbor. Thought I'd drop cash in the slot and build up a nest egg ... but never did. Have since lost combination, but it's open and both keys for the inner lockbox are there.
I'm in South Orange County, Ca ... free to anyone who can open it. And it's heavy - about 500 pounds.

Hello, I purchased a business a few years ago and it came with a safe for us to use. We have the combination for the top and we have the keys for the top and bottom, but we are unable to ever get into the bottom of the safe. Any idea on why the combo for top and keys won’t work for bottom lock smith wants $500+

!SOLVED!
We recently moved into a house with this safe. I don’t know the brand and the previous owners don’t remember the letter combination. There is a pin included and 3 holes in the back, we manage to push the reset button and turn the dial to the wanted letter, but after resetting the 3 dials we are still not able to use the safe. Any tips on how to successfully reset the letter combination?

I had to open this safe by drilling 5 holes thru back , what’s the best way to fill the holes to keep the fire rating?

As the title says, I got to open a Kaso Gem for the 4th of July, which is the best thing ever. I have been doing this for 19yrs now and I LOVE when I'm able to open these higher security safes. Posting here cause I figured other techs would appreciate it. I love this job so much and thank God every day that I get to do something I love doing.

Hi! I'm working at a museum this summer, and we have an old J&J Taylor Limited Toronto safe works safe.
We don't know what's in it, nor the code. But it was donated to the museum back in I believe 2020, and it would be nice to know what's inside.

My father is a Real Estate agent and found this left in the basement of a house he sold. Understandable as it took 3 grown men, ropes, sleds and ramps just to get it up the bulkhead and into a truck. Anyone seen a safe like this before?
Any help on ID or getting it open would be huge, thanks!

I forgot the combination to my suitcase lock, and my passport is inside. What’s the best way to open it?
Update:
Tried this and it worked

So, my local library has not had a key or combination for this safe since they took it over from what used to be the bank. They invite anyone who wants to come try to crack it have a whack at it.

Cracked my first Safe tonight!
Since my last post I’ve read “National Locksmith Guide to Manipulation”, watched numerous Rick Ammazzini videos and the Safe Manipulation Course videos by Spinning dials.
For manipulation I started by parking wheels 1&2 at 50, scanned and mapped the third wheel, it didn’t reveal anything so scanned and mapped all 3 together and found a low point in all the wheels at 35 so parked 1&2 there and scanned wheel 3 again. Gate at 88 appeared.
Scanned wheel 1&2 with wheel 3 at 88 and found a deep gate at 63, did a high low test and confirmed it was wheel 2.
Scanned wheel 1 with the other two in position and it opened at 22!
Spent 2 hours fighting to map wheel 3 on Saturday and then regrouped and killed it in 2 hours tonight!
Found a dual key lockbox inside but no goodies!
Thanks for all the support and tips!
