Does anyone know if there are any good campgrounds in middle Michigan that we could keep our TT at and use it in the summer only, keep it there permanently and use it when we come up to Michigan

My wife and I have decided to downsize from our Pasadena 38bx to a Grand Design F Series. We visited a General near us, drove one, liked it and started negotiating a deal on a used one they had at a different location. We agreed to a differential, asked for the deal in writing to review and the man behind the glass snapped "why so you can shop me". They supposedly asked the manager at the location that had it if they could transfer it and he said not for that price, that we'd have to pay $5k more for them to move it which coincidentally was where they were before we negotiated. The whole thing seemed fishy and high pressure. We ended up walking away to the dismay of our salesman. The more I thought about it, the comment about "shopping" their price irritated me. They also wanted us to put $1000 down on a used motorhome sight unseen.

What have other experienced dealing with General? Okay to do business with or are they known for playing games? Not sure if I was being overly sensitive or if they were out of line...

1670km done on our trip and 1430km still to go with our 1978 GMC VanDura35 motorhome. That old lady impressive and driving vontage have its charm!

Hey yall I was advised to join this community, I've had my RV since May 2026 and I've been working on it diligently.

Before I continue here's the skinny.

I purchased this vehicle for $1000

The vehicle runs great but the inside was gutted almost entirely,

I crashed on my way home because of a brake failure the original owner did not tell me about and a dangerously driving semi truck that ran me off the road with his trailer, (minimal damage the drivers side mirror, the side electrical outlet, and the propane cover door)

Now I'm getting to work on the vehicle while I'm waiting for the title, I've built a bed frame next to the shower from lumber, and I'm working on cleaning up the sinks and shower, re caulking, and replumbing.

Right now I'm ripping out the original blue carpet due to how absolutely disgusting it is, and filling mouse holes with expanding foam, but that's not really why I'm making this post.

I'm in Western Virginia right now, and I do not know diddly about electrical, everything works fine at a glance except that I cannot test the levels, I cannot fill the onboard tank, and there's no AC power.

I'm afraid to plug in my inverter because it looks like someone did a redneck re-plug on the 120 AC system.

I'd appreciate any help, or if it comes down to it, where I can get a new converter, generator (totalled), and inverter so I can rip it all out and start from scratch modularly.

left the auto industry for the RV industry, and I wasn't expecting peak season to be this slow.

I'm in BDC, and we're still setting appointments, but sales have definitely slowed. Our dealership has also hired a lot of people recently, and I'll admit I'm starting to wonder if management is regretting expanding the team.

To make it worse I work at a small rv consignment dealership so I feel like there is more pressure than working at a big dealer.
Anyone else in the RV industry seeing the same thing, or is your dealership still busy?

A 10 hour round trip to collect this little (literally) piece of history. 1980 Datsun.

It performed flawlessly on the trip back, and as an added bonus I could almost hit 65 mph going down hill. I know how Roy Rodgers felt riding the plains on Trigger at full gallop. Quite a lively and visceral driving experience.

This is a retirement enhancement project after a failed skoolie bus experiment. As an older person, it takes a lot to be excited, but I am genuinely excited about this and planning trip.

I have two Champions 2500 dual fuel inverter generators. I run them on propane,not gasoline.

Question is how often should I take them out of storage and run them? Yearly, Quarterly? When they are not in use camping.

Washing machine of something like that is preferred. (If not must have some way to wash clothes in it or equipped)

Indoor wet bath is a must

Bunk beds would be cool

Must have water tanks

Solar panels are preferred

Must have one bed and at least one other bed (whether it be a foldable or not does not matter, or just a large bed that has an option to be two benches that can be two separate beds)

Must have full indoor kitchen (microwave (convection preferred, but not required, sink, and stove top)

Must be below 10,000 lbs

Separate shower and toilet would be nice

Must have electrical connections on the inside

Must be below $35,000 for base price

Must have a place to sit and eat

Must have at least two windows

Low maintenance cost

Compact as possible without being too crowded

Anyone out there have a RVMConfig file? I've tried owners forums but for some reason this configuraiton file seems to be lost in the unobtainium realm. I've reached out to BMPro and my local dealers but everyone says that the other party should provide the file.

(SOLVED!!!!) I am looking for this specific RV model that Keystone no longer sells (I believe). It is between 20 and 25 foot, a Springdale line because I recall seeing the name on the front and I also recall a smaller font below it saying “Tailgator.” The door is on the side near the rear behind a single axle. It only has one queen bed. It had a single propane tank on the tow.

If you could help by telling me the name of this RV, it’ll be a huge help! I searched far and wide on the internet. Every single similar ones I find has a door in the middle of its side or up near the front where the hitch is at, not near the rear.

Hello everyone! im looking to see whats out here in terms of small rv/campers. We have recently become grandparents. Wife goes about an hour away to help take care of baby and our daughter love both dearly but wife is allergic to her cats. Wants to stay but allergies 🤧 get the best of her. So we thought find a small rv or van to do just that like uhaul or ambulance size is just fine any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Also donated is what we are leaning towards just getting into a long struggle with bankruptcy. thanks in advance anything will help!

Looking for selling advise:

I have a 2021 Keystone Avalanche 390ds I am trying to get rid of but am struggling to find the best way to go about selling it. It has fewer than 500 miles and is in good condition. The second bedroom has been modified with a full bed instead of a queen, a move I did not know at the time would decrease the value, at least when trying to sell it to dealerships.

I don’t have FB Marketplace and listing it on RVTrader or one of the others feels like a gamble. My goal is to have it gone as quickly as possible, and I’m willing to take a pretty substantial loss on it to be done with it. As it is, I am hemorrhaging money on it between insurance and lot fees. I took out a loan to pay down the rest of what I owed so I now have the title in hand. I bought it to live in it, but that did not work out.

All dealerships around here (in Maryland) are only willing to do consignment and I’m afraid of taking that risk in case it doesn’t sell. But I don’t really see another way forward.

Does anyone have experience selling vs. consigning an RV? Would it be worth it to look at selling it in other states where there’s a higher market for RVs? Should I put the second bedroom back the way it was? Should I list it on RVTrader and see if I get interest? Any and all information would be appreciated as I am completely outside of my wheelhouse here.

My water storage tank keeps filling when I'm not looking. It's not rapid, but I have to keep checking and kill the supply to prevent overfilling it.

So I may have an opportunity to purchase a camper trailer for work rather than staying at hotels for the next year or more. I will be going home each weekend, but during the work week will be staying 4 nights near the construction site.

I want to keep storage/stay costs low, but everywhere I look the trailer camping areas are like 28-day max stays and over $1,000 per month. Seems a little high for me, but I don't know.

If this were you, how would you approach this? Should I just stay the 3-4 nights each week in an RV park and bring my trailer home each week (about 90-120 minutes from the site), or should I try and find a place that will allow me to stay long-term?

I am trying to drain and flush my water heater and I’m confused about whether I’m actually draining the tank completely.

When I remove the drain plug (yellow nylon plug), water only drips out slowly. Opening a hot water faucet inside the RV does not seem to make much difference.

I’ve been told there should be a pressure relief valve somewhere on the water heater that can be opened to let air into the tank and break the vacuum so the tank drains quickly instead of just dripping.

However, I cannot find that valve anywhere in the exterior water heater access compartment. All I can see is the burner assembly, control board, and drain plug.

Questions:

Where exactly is the pressure relief valve located on a Coachmen Brookstone fifth wheel water heater?
Is it visible from the exterior access panel or hidden elsewhere?

If the drain plug is removed and water only drips out, what is the correct procedure to fully drain and flush the tank?

Has anyone run into a situation where opening a faucet inside still didn’t allow the tank to drain properly?
Any photos of the valve location would be greatly appreciated.

I'm putting my travel trailer up for sale. It's nice, and I don't want to screw anybody over. I don't expect to sell it tomorrow; it may take several weeks. What's the "best" way to sanitized the fresh water tank for the next owner?

Bleach? A commercial product? Do I fill it 100% with water and then add the product? Explain it like I'm 5 please and thank you.
