Best non leather Roller skates?

Hey I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I am searching for non leather skates, because I tend to react to leather (probably the stuff they process it with) and I would like to get new skates.

I'm currently starting to skate more in a skatepark and would also love to have the opportunity to learn tricks with them, so I would need a higher durability in them. Do you have any recommendations for skates I can look into?

Looking for UK roller derby squads in traditional punk dress!

Hey guys! My boyfriend is a photographer, writing an editorial for Practice Magazine (@practice_magazine) covering the interesting fashions intertwined with various sports. I'm looking for roller derby squads that still carry-on the fun tradition of dressing up in alternative outfits. If there is anyone out there interested in having an article written about their team and what they wear, please reach out to @jodi_r0gers on Instagram or email him directly: [email protected]

Good rollerblades for ice hockey player

I am looking for rollerblades, but I am new to rollerblading and have lots of years of experience playing ice hockey— I want to rollerblade for cardio more than anything, not to play roller hockey or do any tricks at all. Let me know some good recommendations— my budget is fairly open but don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount

Quelles marques me conseillez-vous ? Merci !

Édit : fautes

Just for fun I asked ChatGpt to make a pair of roller skates out of a pair of Adidas shoes and in the photo you can see what it came up with.

Hi! First time skater here. I bought these inline oxelo skates from decathlon a month ago and have been practicing every since. I fall pretty often since I'm still gaining my balance. I was cleaning my skates today and I just noticed all the damage of my falls on my skates.
Is this normal for a beginner who's only had their skates for a month, or is there something I'm doing that's causing all this damage?

Can I skate on “country roads?”

i just bought a new pair of inline skates and they work and feel good for being off of amazon and quite cheap. I’m going to alabama later today and where im staying, it’s mostly gravel for road and a lot of grass. There are some places that have actual road, but not many where i can skate. Could I skate in the grass and on the gravel?

In a rush and need some guide in moxi beach bunny size

Good day! My feet is 24cm but i'm having a dilemma about the available size that moxi beach bunny has on stock. I'm on a rush right now because it is the last day of prime deal for amazon. I know that based on the guide, I should get a size 7 but it's not available anymooooreee. Now, what should i get? Is it ok for me to get a size 6 or 8? I really wish that there's a skate rink/shop here in my area where i can try and buy these but there isnt sadly.

Which skates should i get next ?

Hi, i have been skating on a pair of rookie artistics for the past couple of months and they recently started to separate at the heel so i have been looking for a new pair of skates. My budget is around £135-140 and i’m currently thinking about going for either moxi beach bunny’s or chaya cozy wine, i mostly skate at roller rinks (so would need to buy separate wheels too) as well as an outdoor promenade near where i live, which skates do you think would be better ? if anyone has any suggestions for a different pair of skates that would also be good and in the price range i would appreciate it a lot too:)

Retiring my Riddell 195 grand prix's

Bought these boots back in 2014, they've been so good to me. I'm unreasonably attached to them still 😅

I decided to post as many people seem fond of them. They are a discontinued Riddell boot, often noticed in my derby circles for being particularly low cut. Originally aimed at speed skaters I believe.

Swapping to Solaris 2.0, which I'm sure will be an adjustment with the much higher ankle 😂

Worth servicing or buy different?

Post image

As title says. My friend gave me these super old skates for free since no one else was using them. Now, the wheels have pretty bad spin and I’d want to maybe clean and replace the bearings and maybe the wheels as well since the ones that are on are kind of worn. Would it be worth it to service these as they fit pretty well and I have no complaints other than the wheels having bad spin, or should I search elsewhere, and if so for what? To mention also my budget is pretty small so the price of bone red bearings and the possibility of wheels is already slightly kind of stretching it. Thank you!!

Bearing Lube

Hey! I’m super new to roller blading and am just starting with these old rollerblades that I got from a friend. They’re quite dirty so I wanted to give them a full clean. Anyways one part about cleaning them is that I’d want to also clean the bearings. Would I be able to use this “Rock N Roll gold” lube that’s originally meant for like BMX bikes since I don’t think I have anything else?

78a or 85a

Hi guyss!

i was an inline skater who has moved to quads about a year ago, i have been using a friends setup of boardwalk skates and she has gifted them to me for my birthday!
we usually go to the rink but our local rink has closed down and we want to start going on city rides, which is what i used to do with my inlines.
anyways to the point.

im not 100 percent sure what wheels i have now but im aware theyre for indoor skating only, and they have leds.
i wanna get a wheels for outdoor skating, im looking into luminious leds atm. they come in 78a and 85a here but 85a is currently half price. i like doing little tricks and jaming while on trail rides so im not exactly sure which to get as ive heard reasllyy mixed reviews.

any help would be so appreciated!!

Outdoor rollerblades?

Hi, I’m getting into rollerskating and I want to get a pair of rollerblades that would be good for outdoors (sidewalks, roads etc) exclusively. When I took up skateboarding I learned that your board has to have softer/bigger wheels to ride smoothly on most sidewalks/roads. I imagine the same applies to rollerskating, but I haven’t seen much buzz about wheel specs when researching rollerblades to purchase. I have seen different configurations though (3 wheels?). I’m worried that if I buy hard wheels I’ll go sailing as soon as I hit one uneven sidewalk-square. Anyway, I would love some guidance! Thank you!

What are ways I can make my skates fit?

I really want to get into skating but I have to buy online, got them today and they’re a tad too big. But I have no money to spend on a new pair. I want to make these work till I grow more. Anyone have tips?
(I’m not sure what rollerskate community to post this in, sorry if this isn’t a correct place to ask this)
