im getting back into rfactor 2 after like 5 years but i cant seem to find any good ffb settings the best i found so far were extremely grindy even after some fine tuning it also felt kinda on and off

My rFactor 2 installation has gotten massive over time and I want to do a proper cleanup. I'll obviously keep the official cars and tracks, but before I start deleting third-party content I want to make sure I don't get rid of anything that's actually worth keeping.

For those of you who've been around the sim for a while: what mods (cars, tracks, or tools) do you consider essential or "must-have"? Things that are widely regarded as high quality, still actively used/maintained, or just core to a good rF2 experience.

Also happy to hear the opposite — any mods that are generally considered outdated, broken, or not worth the disk space anymore.

Currently working on an AI IndyCar season, and can't for the life of me ​get a decent custom setup. Does anyone have pointers or are ​willing​ to share one you use?

My biggest struggles are with the gearing and being tight in, loose out. With a default setup I'm ~6th/31 on 95 difficulty in clean air, with my custom ones I'm 29th on 94% difficulty. Trying to make the gearing a bit more realistic with 4/5 as clean air gears and 6th for drafting (usually shift to 6th about 222ish mph). I'm kinda at a point with the suspension ​where any change seems counterintuitive, and I've only touched the dampers trying to prevent FR lockups on pit entry.​

I got rfactor 2 a couple of days ago and i'm wonering if my laps are solid or do i need to fix smtn with my driving

so i recently bought rf2, when i tried to run it it says "insufficient video memory want to continue?" then i clicked yes but it just shutted down the game. how do i fix this?

I recently started watching sim racing videos and started looking for decent racing games which give me a realistic driving experience...Unfortunately i only have a controller as of now and i just saw that rfactor is going for around 2 dollars in my country...should i pick it up?? I mostly want to race offline in championships and hopefully if a career mode exists, get into that..Should i pick the game up now? Also how is the multiplayer for new rookies like me on a controller?? Also looking to pick up automobilista 2 on sale in a hour..
