Would appreciate any advice regarding my Resume and on how i can have higher chances at being seen/considered , and how i can potentially reduce it to one page if thats necessary.

I got a job after tailoring my Resume to each job.

I would suggest creating a Project in Claude and adding your Resume and a short description that you are gonna make me Resumes' that will get me a job.

Now, go to the project and paste the JOB DESCRIPTION, paste these 2 Prompts one after another.

Prompt A:

Act as a senior recruiter for this exact company. Analyse my resume against this job description and give me a match score out of 100, the top 5 missing keywords, and the 3 red flags a hiring manager would spot in under 10 seconds. Rewrite my experience section to include those keywords and remove the red flags naturally. Use the Google XYZ formula: Accomplish X as measured by Y by doing Z.

Prompt B:

Now act as an ATS filter and a hiring manager, reading 200 resumes in one sitting. Scan my new resume and tell me which sections would get skipped, then rewrite them so they actually stop the scroll. Create me a perfect Resume for this job. Keep your answer as short as possible. 

Instructions

• Keep it minimal, simple, clean, without colours
• Stay away from using dashes in the sentences and unnecessary special characters
• Use PDF as the default to make the Resume
• Name your file as NAME_POSITION_ORGANIZATION
• Make sure you achieve the highest possible ATS Score
• You can add skills that I didn’t mention, but you think that if a person knows this, then he can know this, so you add it to reach a higher score
• Make sure you achieve the highest possible ATS score

One thing I would suggest: before applying to the job, write in a small notebook with full confidence and belief that I'm gonna get the job of JOB TITLE from ORGANIZATION.

This year I redid my CV several times. I'm trying to apply for Support and NOC roles, but without much luck.
If we have any recruiters around here, I would appreciate some feedback.

I tried implementing most CV creation tips and tricks and this is the form it is in now. I just finished it. (Yes, I also used AI in the process)
Is it that bad?

Had some difficulty on the job market last year, but hopping back in with revisions to my resume.

Any advice on my two resumes. Whether that my descriptions, format, length, structure, etc. I was always taught one page, but the fed space is different. I know the job market is brutal and hiring practices suck.

P.s: I have studied in a different country and then have decided to move back due to which I do not have any work experience.I wouldn't be requiring any visa sponsorship for work in USA.

I'm an entry level software engineer applying for jobs and I'm unsure whether I should include two volunteer software engineering experiences on my resume.

In both cases, I worked on the projects for several months and made real technical contributions (writing code, collaborating with the team, etc.). Unfortunately, both projects ended before completion.

- One organization shut down completely and no longer has a website (i'm the only dev in this project)

- The other organization still has a website, but the project stopped and no one responds to my emails anymore, so I wasn't able to get a reference letter.

I can honestly explain what I worked on and the technologies I used, but I'm worried that employers might see these experiences as a red flag because I can't provide references or because one organization no longer exists.

Would you still include these experiences on your resume? If you were a hiring manager or recruiter, how would you view this?

I'd appreciate any advice, especially from people involved in hiring software engineers.

Hi everyone. I unfortunately have been told today I will be laid off in one month’s time due to a redundancy of my working position in my current company.

As such, I have been updating my resume for job hunting. All key personal details have been commented out with “<>” for this post.

The overall position documented here is surrounding Model Validation to review the performance, methodologies, and overall risk assessment of both internal and external models of said company.

Additionally, please note the MSc degree is simply my school’s fancy name of saying “Financial Mathematics” and “Financial Computation” into one bundle.

A little Background of me:

I transitioned from a transport engineering/technology background (first degree) to Computer science, by completing a professional bachelors degree (Cum Laude) in Applied Computer Science, Belgium. Having had a 4 months internship during study, I am still searching for a job. I have had so many rejection letters and recently no feedback.

Tbh I don't know if it really has to do with my resume structure. But some of the feedback I have been receiving had to do with years of experience(even for junior roles), Language proficiency (demanding for Dutch capabilities) or inability to issue work permit.

FYI, I have had 2+ years of experience in the petroleum logistics space before my transition.

UK. I have 10 years experience in QA/Software testing and want to progress further. Either back into the games industry where I started (where the passion is but not the money) or press on further into enterprise products .

Looking for brutally honest resume feedback. I’m a full-stack software engineer with several years of professional experience, mostly working with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and AI integrations. Most of my background has been with startups and small teams, so my roles have usually covered a pretty wide surface area. I’ve handled everything from frontend dev and backend APIs to infra, deployments, internal tooling, prod debugging, and product design.

I’ve mainly been targeting remote frontend and full-stack roles, although at this point I'm also considering adjacent technical positions where my background might transfer well.

I was laid off from "Gigachad.io" a couple of years ago and have been trying to land another full time role ever since. I’ve picked up a few contracts along the way, but nothing stable. One of them ("SkyNet") literally lasted a month. The work I’ve done through "Acme Technology" (an IT company irl), has mostly been whatever misc client projects the company either didn’t want to take on or didn’t have the right skillset to handle. That work has gradually slowed to almost nothing, sometimes around ten hours every month or two. At this point, it mainly exists to keep me "professionally active" and avoid a massive resume gap.

I’ve also gone fairly deep into AI systems work, including LLM integrations, orchestration, local model tooling, real time transcription, agent workflows, evaluation, and backend systems built around AI features. That work isn't front and center on my resume bc I don't have years of paid, full time, formal experience under that title, so I'm intentionally toning that way, WAY down to avoid bootcamp-grad-as-self-declared 'AI Systems Engineer' syndrome. 

The last several years I’ve rewritten and tailored my resume more times than I can count, built portfolio projects, networked, contacted former coworkers and recruiters, and applied to more than 2,000 jobs. Despite all of that, I’m barely getting interviews anymore. That makes me think my resume may not be communicating my experience effectively, I may be positioning myself poorly, or there may be something obvious working against me that I just can't see after staring at this thing for so long.

I’m looking for brutally honest feedback, and nothing is off limits. If something is confusing/weak/undersells my experience/makes me look like a junior/fails the 6-second recruiter check, I genuinely want to hear it. At this point, hard truths would be way more useful than another “looks good to me".

What should I edit or change before applying to jobs? My summary might be a bit broad because I'm genuinely looking for anything nothing explicitly tied to my interests.

Hi all, I've found myself at a bit of a standstill in my career. I've been applying for roles since the end of November with little success and since finishing my last role three months ago have only managed to secure one interview (for a data support role that I wasn't even expecting to hear back for). Anyway, along the way, I've realised I want to transition from field work to a lab-based role where I can support environmental research as the methodical experimental side of things is something I really enjoy and feel I would have more impact in than previous field work (which I feel is going nowhere for me at this point). I'm feeling pretty hopeless at this point so any advice would be really appreciated for how I can frame my experience and stand out more, and hopefully start to see a little success! I was let go from my former employer over a month ago, and I am currently taking legal action as I believe it was in part due to some ongoing medical issues I'm having which may require surgical intervention (already had most of last year off due to similar issue.)

My question is, since I'm having this problem which might require my being out of work for at least the next few months, should I include an explainer in my resume, and voluntarily disclose it was for medical reasons? If not, how should I explain a large gap like that? I'm currently blue collar, but could transfer to entry level white collar if needed.

Graduated in 2023 with a BS in mech engineering, no experience other than school projects- obviously not able to land an entry engineering job with that.
Settled for a mech. drafter job to get some experience- 2 years later applying for engineering roles, feel like a failure. Is it my resume, is it me?
