Vet recommendation in the EastSide area?
My cat has been sneezing like crazy. What’s an affordable vet in the area that’s not gonna break the bank and scam me?

Apartment recommendations?
Hiya folks, I just recently got an offer for a contractor for Microsoft and I was wondering if anyone had 1 bedroom apartment recommendations? I've taken a look around this subreddit and it looks like lots of recommendations for places like Heron, the Triangle, Station House, and Eastline. Strangely nobody ever mentions Peloton though, which was top of my list for having a cheaper rent and it seems like a fantastic location--15 minute walk to H-mart, right next to a trail and a massive park. Is there something wrong with it?
I also have a cat, so ideally I'd have 550+ sq ft of actual space (no patio or balcony).

Cyclists please wear neon colors
To the cyclist who fly down hills and cut turns quick in neighborhoods, I’m very concerned. Your mother is very concerned.
Please be mindful not all drivers are sinister. Some drivers are parents and get < less 5 hours of sleep.
So before you are pumped full of endorphins, the wind is in your face, pick up a neon bright jacket so your soft grey shirt, black pants and dark colored bike doesn’t just blend in with the pavement, the shaded house, etc.
Also, do any local politicians on here - please ban any sort of e-bikes on sidewalks. Am I a millennial curmudgeon, or does anyone else see the inherent risk of driving a 50 pound plus bike with the ability to go 0-35 in 2 seconds a safety concern to those walking?

Redmond Council cancelled the Flock surveillance contract tonight!!
It's been a little over eight months since the suspension was initiated back in November, but tonight it finally happened! The vote on AM No. 26-119 to cancel the Flock contract passed unanimously 7-0!
Many thanks to everyone who spoke out against mass surveillance in our city and to our councilmembers who listened!

Lost cat?
My husband found what we assume is a lost cat near the Redmond Ridge fire station. We tried to coax it to come to us so we could get her checked for a microchip but no luck. Last seen near Alder Crest lane. DM if this is your cat and we would love to help get her home! Good luck!

We're showing Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle tomorrow night at KeyBank Movies at Marymoor, and I'm hoping for another beautiful sunset like these photos from previous movie nights.
If you've never been, it's a fun evening with food trucks, live music by School of Rock, dogs, and a movie under the stars.

Things to do while traveling for work?
Hello Redmond community! I'm currently visiting your lovely area for the week and was wondering what activities/restaurants/parks/bars you all enjoy!
One of my coworkers mentioned Marymoor park which I'll go check out later today. I love any and every kind of food and a nice lounge and/or disco/dance hall would be fun to check out.
Thanks in advance!

Paddle board launch sites
I generally tend to go to Sammamish Landing or Luke McRedmond, but I’m looking new spots.
Luke McRedmond is great because parking is so close to the launch site and it doesn’t feel like a trek just go to the water from the parking lot (I’m looking ar you, Idylwood), but the river is just okay and I don’t love seeing everything beneath me 😅
Sammamish Landing is beautiful but I hate crossing the parkway and going down the stairs with the blown up SUP. And its always crowded.
What other spots do people like?

City Council vote to end Flock contract 07/21/2026
I've seen a few posts on here regarding the city’s Flock cameras.
The cameras have been "turned off" since last year. But the City Council will be voting to end the contract with Flock and the removal of all city-operated cameras tomorrow, 07/21/2026, during the City Council Business Meeting that starts at 7:00 pm.
This vote does not affect Flock cameras operated by private entities and on private property - ie: land owned by businesses (Home Depot parking lot, HOA's, etc...)

Share a private office by hours
I have a 2 person office to share, it is between Factoria mall and Eastgate and near I-90. I am using it by myself now.
I would like to share it based on hours. You can have the office 2 hours per day for 300 dollars a month or 3 hours per day for 400 dollars a month. For example, you can have the whole office every day from 9am-12am for 400 dollars a month. Minimum 3 months. Available now. Pretty spacious and super clean, super quiet and well managed office building. The floor has kitchen, free coffee and tea.
The usual hourly rate for this office is 30 dollars per hour so this price is pretty good. If you feel you need committed hours to do something for a period of time or feel you need to be away from home for a couple of hours per day to focus on something, this is a perfect place. Time period is negotiable.

Pickup soccer in Redmond
Hi everyone. As title says, I'm moving from the east coast to Redmond and was wondering if there are any groups in Redmond that organize regular pickup soccer games in the area.
