I think this is my first time talking about any of my shifting experiences online despite being a part of the shifting community for a few years now -- though I've minishifted dozens of times already, I hesitated to post about them cause I had doubts...
This is probably the second time I've minishifted for a few hours rather than just a few moments, the first one being way longer than the minishift I had this time (about 2/3 of a day, whilst this one was about just a few hours).
(Paragraph tagged as spoiler is just some additional context)
This one I wanted to share in particular cause it was a really odd first experience lol, it made me question the shift itself, but then it felt really really real. So I took a nap today, I had a vivid dream that was really confusing (typical dream stuff), and somehow it ended up with me shifting to a random reality where I was coming back home to my studio apartment in a really sketchy area. I was talking with this handsome man that I was with before I shifted my consciousness to that reality, he was with me on something, it had something to do with us investigating something together, and that I needed his help. He told me that he'd stay nearby, and that he hid a gun in my room for my use in the case that I feel threatened, though I was confident I'd be fine as I was pretty strong and notorious to be so around the sketchy neighborhood my apartment was in (??).
After he left me to my own devices, I immediately got some shut eye. I was TIRED as heck. That led me to dream vividly, during that shift. The dreams were uhm very dreamlike not very clear and I forgot most of it, but then, my sleep was disturbed by some of my neighbours fighting right outside my apartment in the middle of the night. I could hear that the shouting had developed into a brawl, and my brain instinctively switched to fight or flight mode and thought to get the gun hidden in my room to defend myself in case anybody attempted to break in. As I was VERY, very tired and groggy, my brain was still in an REM state and I experienced sleep paralysis while mentally panicking about getting to the gun. This really solidified the fact that I wasn't just dreaming in a dream again for me, as it feels EXACTLY like how I would get myself to wake up from an REM state in my c/r (current reality), waking-up techniques, numbness and tingling with trying to snap out of sleep paralysis, and drifting in and out of that sleepy consciousness while in the REM state.
Shortly, I was able to wake up from it, and was about to reach for the weapon (still hearing the fight outside lol), but then as I got up I shifted back to my c/r and felt confused af... When I woke up (cause I was taking a nap before I shifted), I felt mentally exhausted, I don't know how to explain it. So yeah, because of that weird dreaming and sleep paralysis sequence as I slept when I shifted (and the fact that everything just felt realistic and detailed), I have a good feeling, about 98% sure (still have doubts lowkey) that was an actual shift and not just a very very vivid dream LOL 😭👍.
