Steve and me time is best time.

Tried posting this last night but we are currently avoiding the triple digits in Vegas and camping up in the mountains. I wanted him to be able to get outside and enjoy his day ..GCH Appleton's Blue Moon River BCAT ATT turned 4 yesterday and time is going by far too quickly...

This is my baby - he’s a rat terrier / chihuahua mix. We got him from the animal shelter back in 2019, where he was surrendered with 16 of his siblings. Out of all the pups, he was only one out of two with long hair! It gives him a unique look. Everyone mistakes him for a Papillon. He’ll be 8 years old this fall 🥹

Juno is the only dog I’ve ever had that reacts to other dogs on TV. Neither of my boys would even pay attention to the TV.

Mother in law just brought home her new dog Mia rescued from a hoarding situation. We thought she was chihuahua mix but I’m starting to think shes just a rat terrier. She has a bobbed tail, about 18lbs and is incredibly affectionate. What do y’all think? She just had a full litter and was fixed last month but recovering so well!

Hello everyone; the pups and I haven’t posted on here in a while due to Pollyana’s ongoing health issues, but I’m so happy to say that today we’re celebrating her 16th Borkday!🐶🦊🥳

Unfortunately, due to the heat and wildfire smoke outside, we weren’t able to get up to any crazy shenanigans and had to stay inside.

Since we weren’t able to have the party in the park with her friends, like we would’ve liked, Pollyana said she’d love for everyone to give their pups extra pets and goodies today, and if you’d like, please share your furbabies having a great time as well, so we can share the birthday vibes on here!💖🐾

I have three dogs and I clip all their nails. However, Taco, my anxiety ridden rat terrier, acts traumatized every time I do it and she makes it traumatizing for me too. She is very hard to trim, because her nails are so thick, and I have had to start muzzling her because she tries to bite me while I’m doing it. There has never been another scenario where she has tired to bite me, except nail trimming.

Going to a professional is not an option, due to her severe social anxiety and the fact I don’t have a car. When she goes to the vet, I will have them trim her, but they charge me $30, which I think is insane. She seems more afraid of grinders than trimmers, so I’m looking for recommendations for the best nail clippers I can get for my nervous girl.

Advice online so far is to halt that for future benefits. I don't let him do it all the time and when it is too much I do the OW! and go away trick.

But sometimes I let him. Especially when hes real tired and wants to nap, and bedtime when hes just unable to control himself too much.

It seems like a very much puppy thing. If we have bite control I don't see it being an issue into adult hood cause I just don't picture fully grown dogs doing that.

The other variable is he is a sidewinder missile and my arm is the target. Redirection doesn't always work lol.
