[Feedback Request] I made a daily photo clue & trivia app (Exhibit A)—looking for feedback on question difficulty!

Post image

I’ve been working on a side project called Exhibit A, an image quiz app focused on cinema, art history, and cultural trivia. Each Case File gives you 4 photo clues to solve the case.

Since I'm curating and publishing the daily cases myself through, I want to make sure I’m hitting the sweet spot with difficulty. Some beta testers said the clues were a bit too cryptic or obscure, while others zipped right through them.

I'd love for a few trivia fans or pub quizzers to give it a test run and let me know;

Are the Cases too difficult, too easy, or just right?

It’s completely free on both iOS and Android. I’ll drop the store links in the comments if you want to please check it out!

Appreciate any honest feedback!

5Q - Themed Tuesday: 'The Human Body'

HINT: Click on the multiple choice options to narrow down the answer.

Question 1:

Fill in the blank: Blood pressure is measured using two numbers: systolic and __________.

Multiple Choice Options:  Bystolic  •  Embolic  •  Eidolic  •  Diastolic  •  Argolic

Question 2:

Name the disease that is caused by excessive uric acid forming needle-like crystals in the body's joints, resulting in severe pain.

Multiple Choice Options:  Tendinitis  •  Osteoporosis  •  Bursitis  •  Gout  •  Lupus

Question 3:

Nephrons are microscopic structures in what organ of the human body?

Multiple Choice Options:  Pancreas  •  Gallbladder  •  Appendix  •  Liver  •  Kidney

Question 4:

What part of the body is controlled by the hypoglossal nerve?

Multiple Choice Options:  Stomach  •  Tongue  •  Neck  •  Heart  •  Eye

Question 5:

Rods and cones are specialized cells in this light-sensitive part of the human eye.

Multiple Choice Options:  Sclera  •  Iris  •  Retina  •  Macula  •  Cornea

Answer Key:

Q1: Diastolic  /  Systolic blood pressure (top number) measures artery pressure when the heart contracts, while diastolic (bottom number) measures pressure when the heart rests between beats.

Q2: Gout  /  Gout is the most common type of inflammatory arthritis. Gout is highly treatable with lifestyle changes such as diet and weight loss and medications. Without treatment, it can lead to chronic joint destruction and kidney issues.

Q3: Kidney  /  Nephrons filter blood, regulate blood pressure and volume, and remove waste from the body. A healthy adult has 1 to 1.5 million nephrons in each kidney.

Q4: Tongue  /  The nerve controls the movements required for speech and swallowing, including sticking out the tongue and moving it from side to side. The Greek anatomist Herophilos first described the nerve in the third century BC.

Q5: Retina  /  Rods are photoreceptors that are highly sensitive to light; they are vital for night vision and peripheral vision. Unlike cones, rods do not distinguish colors. There are three types of cone photoreceptors, each sensitive to different wavelengths of light: long (red), medium (green), and short (blue).

This is a game I made where you have to guess the country from the clues. You have 5 attempts and each guess can narrow it down.

What's the one trivia category you'd never lose at?

Mine's flags — I can do almost every country on sight, but ask me anything about sports and I'm useless.

I've noticed most people have exactly one category like this. Something you'd never study for, you just absorbed it somewhere and it stuck. And it's almost never the categories that actually come up in pub quizzes.

What's yours? Curious how weirdly specific these get.

(Asking partly out of curiosity and partly because I built a trivia app called Trivor where you level up per topic rather than one overall score — it's out now and I'm still adding topics, so I'm trying to figure out which categories people actually feel ownership over.)
