So glad I found this group! So many lovely creations!

I was recently gifted a starter kit for quilling. It includes the basic tools (I think) and a bunch of paper. I'm a step-by-step instructions for a project kinda a girl when I start a new craft. The kit doesn't include anything like that.

I'm looking for recommendations for printed or video tutorials of projects for beginners. Any input is greatly appreciated.

If you remember my post from the other day, I mailed this thank you card to my stepmom via non-machineable rate in a normal envelope through the usps.

As I suspected might happen, non-machineable means nothing to the post office and it went through the machine and got crushed. The duckies are intact, but the waves, with their looser structure, got pretty badly crushed.

Experiment failed successfully. I'll report back on my next attempt to mail a quilled card without getting crushed. Maybe a thin piece of bubble wrap....

Well as I’m sure you’re all well aware, on-edge quilling is challenging lol. But it was well worth any stress. I am very happy with the result! I used an image from Google as a template (pic 3), however it brings me to Instagram and as I don’t have an account I can’t see much. But I believe the credit goes to QuillingArtByGlaiza on insta!

Recently started quilling (this is my second project) and some friends of mine (initials K and P) recently bought a house so this is my housewarming gift for them. I thought to myself “well let me just practice every shape and stick it somewhere on this and it will probably look fine”, and this is the finished project. Looks a little crowded but I like how it turned out

I saw the wood piece and knew I could have some quilling fun with it as a template. I painted the wood first with acrylic paint and then added matching colored paper strips over that. One thing I know I need improvement on is my loose coils (the larger they get the less even I am able to keep them - tips are welcome on that front!). Other than that I’m very happy with the result! 😊

Hello! I’m a Toronto-based paper artist creating exhibition work that involves a significant number of tight, precise quilled circles.

I’m looking for experienced quilling artists in the Toronto/GTA area only (ideally 5+ years of regular practice) for a very short project who:

- Are comfortable producing very consistent tight coils

- Have a strong eye for clean finish and detail

- Can share clear photos or a portfolio of past quilling work (social media link)

This is not a beginner opportunity. I’m specifically interested in people who already have solid quilling experience.

Going to add some text to it, maybe something like little "quack" speech bubbles, and "We're quackers about you" inside?
