I have very good intuition and am very spiritual but never considered myself a psychic. Last night I decided to connect with the universe to raise my vibration due to mercury being in retrograde. I did this practice where I close my eyes, get into a meditative state, think of a person and say “universe, tell me something I don’t know about this person”, then (in my head) I saw a vintage clock and the letters DO. I tried to go to sleep after and couldn’t, I fell asleep but kept waking up all night, I felt extremely drained and exhausted. The next day I spoke to the person I was thinking about and asked them if the clock or initials rang a bell, they said that they had just bought a vintage clock and was still in the box and that they have a cousin w/ initials DO that I hadn’t met yet.

My question is:
Can I become a psychic or is what happened to me a result of a sharp intuition?
Could my insomnia be due to the meditation ?

I've been in touch with the paranormal since I was young and just recently I had considered opening up and having sessions with friends and family for free readings.

What are some things I should know if I decide to do this?

I think I am a new medium. I have been working to heal my lifetime of trauma since February and I have noticed some spiritual gifts that come along with it. The other night, I was listening to High by the Lighthouse Family and I felt a natural high. I felt so good and high vibrational. Then I see a post on here for people to test their intuition.

There was a sticky note on top where the poster asked for people to guess what was underneath. I noticed the book underneath said The Realm of Hungry Ghosts. I didn't want any negative energy so I clicked off. I was also listening to Pandora and a car commercial came on. The picture for the commercial was of two cars in like a grand canyon like environment. The woman speaking asked, "Do you believe in ghosts?" Then they go on to talk about the car but the same lady ended in saying something about a haunted house down the street. I was freaked out because the spirits were announcing their presence.

I saw my deceased stepdad twice in my peripheral. He was hunched over at the kitchen sink as he always did in life. He has not moved on I've noticed. He lingers. Lights flicker in the house at times and it happes when we talk about him or write about him. I saw a small dark animal shoot past fast and I felt I was imagining it (I knew deep down I wasn't). I felt tingling feelings around the crown of my head and arm.

I told my sister about this experience. The same night she asked me to grab her something from the kitchen and I bring it to her. Then she said, "I asked for my cookies too!" We had a small spat about it and as I go to get them, she claims she did tell me.

I picked the cookies up off the dining room table while still talking to her from my room. I said, "You didn't ask me for no cookies!" She then said, "Yes I did!" And I said "No you didn't!" We went back and forth twice before I noticed something was off. The voice was gravely and didn't sound like her. It was mocking like. I called out and asked if she said something and she said "No." It was weird!

It was like I had drawn these spirits to me just by feeling good and in high vibrations. Has this happened to anyone else? It was creepy!

I'm not sure if this is possibly a place to post this. I help my husband with genealogical research and cemeteries. Typically, he likes to stay within the area. I love to travel and sometimes, I will stop at random cemeteries along the way. Usually, I have to feel drawn to the cemetery and I can't always explain why. I'm still working on learning to manage my abilities and understand what I feel/hear. I typically hear short phrases or single words in my head that aren't me or I feel something. Any suggestions on how to improve my abilities?

I've considered making a blog documenting the travels that my husband/man-child do while visiting cemeteries (history, relative information, etc.). Considered including things that I've felt or heard within a cemetery while we were there. Could this be a bad idea?

first, i want to say that i think i may also be a healer but im still exploring that. i want to also look more into my dreams. i've had dreams and whatever i've dreamed about happened after. 2 dreams i can think of and will always remember are the 2 dreams of my friends dying. the first dream my friend died that night, and i think a demonic form came to me screaming (A LOT of detail with that one). then about 3 years ago the same night he died i had a dream where a mutual friend of ours was pregnant, it's interested because she can't get pregnant. i assumed i seen that because of "rebirth" is something commonly talked about. here it is 3 years later, that same woman is pregnant and the friend that died that night.... well her due date is the dead friends birthday. can anyone help me decode this?

Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for reading me and for your help. I will try to keep it short.

I have had many lucid dreams, vivid dreams, astral projections and such throughout all my life. Just recently I have become brave enough to talk to friends and family about them and discovered these were not very conventional, and also understood that some of them were astral projections.

I have had many in which I see people that I know, mostly struggling. Sometimes it is VERY symbolic, sometimes they are falling down a horrible flight of stairs, I am trying to clean poisonous oils from their body, they are injured and bleeding, or just looking in terrible conditions (disheveled, famelic, etc.). In the last two I was lucid, and it felt like an astral projection, and I have had to leave the dream by some methods I learned a long time back when I was struggling with sleep paralysis.

Here's the thing, I have contacted two of them and have confirmed they were struggling, and horrible things did happen to them, and the symbolism in the dream fits their mental condition. Mind you, some of these people I had not contacted or seen for maybe 15 years or more, and we don't have a relationship. Some of them I didn't even like and used to be casual colleagues from work.

I had one last dream that repeated with the same person. It was a friend with whom I broke contact because she was problematic and we ended up having a huge argument years ago. I tried to forget about it because it has been 8 years of no contact, but HER HUSBAND reached out to me saying how she always recalls memories of us, but she is too proud to talk to me. He said it has been a long time and perhaps we could amend things. I told him I would consider it.

I am scared of contacting these people because some of the dreams were so horrible they have scarred me a little.

My questions are:

1- What are these dreams?
2- Could it be possible that they just draw people in, and could it be I am "tuned in" in some way or sensitive to this so that I read that energy?
3- Should I even care? At this point I am not sure I want to find out.

The last dream I had was about this colleague, and she was panicking while grabbing her belly. She was wearing a white dress and a big wound started spreading from her pregnant belly, and she couldn't stand and dropped to her knees while screaming. She was looking at me asking me why, and I was just stunned, trying to pick her up.

I contacted a guy way back from high school, the one that had the skin covered with a sticky substance, and I just could NOT wash it off. I just wanted to check on him since he suffered a lot of bullying and we were buddies, and it was crazy. He said he had just gotten out of jail and was in a mental hospital to be released in a week's time (that is how they work in my country). He then sent me some insane voice notes, and there was no trace left of the sweet boy he used to be, so I got scared and ended up blocking him.

Sigh, WTH, seriously... I am tired.

May 21st, 2016.

A few hours before, my grandma had been drinking (parents lost custody at birth, so she was the legal guardian over my sister and I). I don’t remember how much, but I remember it was a lot. She painted her sister’s entire bathroom, toilet & all, orange.

We’ve left her sister’s house, after my cousin tried taking her keys (she attempted to take him & his kids home, but she was swerving so he forced her to turn around). She had a spare.

We’re driving down the road now, my sister and I are holding hands. She hits a mailbox on the passenger side, and the window shatters.

We’ve stopped in the middle of a four way intersection. This is the first time we’ve stopped since dropping my cousins and his kids back off. I look to my right, and see a tire shop.

This is when I hear a voice. A male voice. It’s not my subconscious, mostly because I’m a girl & it’s nowhere near the sound of my regular voice, let alone the tiny one in my head.

“Get out of the car.” That’s all it says. I’m met with peace. It’s somehow calmed me down. But I can’t leave my grandma or sister. So I stay.

My life has been hell ever since I didn’t listen to whatever was talking to me. Sure, there have been good times. But there have been even worse times. My life is completely different. (But I wouldn’t take it back, I could never leave my sister behind).

I would also like to mention during this time in my life (I was 11), I was a Baptist Christian. For the longest time, I thought the voice that had talked to me was God. Now I think it’s my spirit guide. I’m curious to know what you all think it was? I have never heard that voice, & haven’t ever heard it again. I also fully believed my spirit guide would be a woman. How could I try and hear him again?

i’ve always had really vivid dreams and i almost always remember my dreams

I would dream about the future and it happens in real life

This happens a few times in the past few months, but definitely more frequently now

I’ll give you an example, the day before my mother took a flight to work in another country. I had a dream that she died. I told her about the dream and she laughed it off because my mother has been a flight attendant for 20 years and had extensive experience on traveling.

Two days later, she slept in the bathroom and had a concussion that could’ve been fatal.

This is my most extreme example, but also the most memorable, luckily my mother did not die like my dream.

However, recently in this month, I had a dream about my professor and his son, which was really weird because I never met or seen my professor’s son before and yet I had a dream about them both . sometimes my professor would talk about his son, but that was all the information revealed about him. I wake up and go to university the same day and I see the both of them in class.

I would also have dreams about my friends texting me, and then I wake up to that text. I have so many instances where I would dream about something and it would happen in the very near future.

I would say my intuition is pretty good. I also have the ability to navigate myself without using my phone in certain locations. My first day in my huge University, I was able to find all of my classes without asking for help or looking at directions.

I would also send an intention before I f fall asleep, I wanted to be a creative genius and think of a really good idea for a film or a comic and then I had a really vivid dream of a really exciting plot that is super original. I think people would love it.

I have no idea what these specific abilities are called but whatever it is, I would like to strengthen them because these abilities are pretty useful

Not sure if it’s related, but I also have huge urges and nudges to start business ideas , not sure if it’s my intuition or just a random desire for wealth

Hi, so i have been in awakening for almost an year now..
have made good progress in my intuition and other clair senses like vision, feeling and recently hearing. But now i have come at a point where the road ahead seems uncertain. I have tried finding a mentor but no luck and honestly i feel like maybe its not the time for a mentor to come.
So the alternative i found is connecting with higher self and spirit guides. so my question is what kind of meditation should i do for guidance and assistance in developing these gifts further and evolving to the next level in vibrations also.

so since i was 13 i had dreams where i would dream of something and it would happen the next day or if i think of something it would happen. My intuitions are also strong and im able to figure out what a person is really like and their personality/ the way they are like/ how theyd act without even knowing their past and i can figure out the future too i guess? One example is that i had really bad vibes from one of my friend’s and i just felt like she craves male validation alot and wants attention in general and that is exactly what she was really like. I’ve been seeing a Catholic medium who prays over intention candles. She says she’s clairaudient and only repeats exactly what she hears while praying, without adding her own interpretation. She also knew several very specific things about me and my ex that she couldn’t have known. Because she prayed over my candles regularly, I sometimes received multiple messages within the same week.

At first, the messages about my ex were very hopeful. I was told he missed me, felt an emptiness without me, would come back, and that we would have a conversation that could strengthen our relationship. They even said there could be “a story written differently” with him and gave me advice about what to do when he returned so there could truly be a change in him and in the relationship.

At the same time, they mentioned another man entering my life, but they were very clear that I didn’t have to be with him if I didn’t want to. They said I could simply be friends with him because I still loved my ex.

Then, sometimes only days later, everything changed.

They started talking about my ex very differently. Instead of encouraging reconciliation, they began saying things like:

“Analyze whether what returns is love, attachment, or passion, because not all pasision is good for you”

“Are you willing to repeat the same lesson just to finally learn to choose what truly benefits you?”

“Don’t keep giving your best to someone who doesn’t deserve it through actions, like the new guy"

At the same time, they also changed what they were saying about the new man. Instead of telling me it was my choice whether to pursue him or not, they now said it was necessary for me to give him a chance because he was being sent to me.

This is what has left me so confused. The messages didn’t just evolve—they felt like they completely changed within a very short period of time. At first I was told there could be a different future with my ex and was even given guidance on how to handle his return so the relationship could truly change. Later, it felt like I was being told that even if he came back, I would only be repeating the same lesson and that I should choose someone else instead.

Has anyone experienced something like this with a medium?

Can spirit messages genuinely change this much over time, or have you experienced situations where later messages seemed to contradict earlier ones? Its possible to change that bad outcome or manifest what i want?

From what I’ve seen, most people seem to have one primary ability, maybe a few others occasionally. My experience has been that all of them seem to happen at once, all the time. I’m genuinely looking to connect with someone who has had a similar experience. Not looking for debate, just conversation.

When I was little, my mom said I talked to people who weren’t there. I’ve had premonition dreams (including two about my family before major injuries), dreams where specific details later came true, and twice I felt someone touch my shoulder when no one was there.

As a kid, we lived in a house a medium said was haunted, and both my mom and I had experiences we couldn’t explain. Getting hurt, feeling like we were shoved, etc.

Over the years I’ve heard my name whispered, had random ear tickling and lots of ear ringing, seen shadows out of the corner of my eye, and lately I’ve been getting vivid flashes of the same image as I’m falling asleep. They make me feel really uneasy.

I’ve also had one experience where lights behind me turned bright white, star-like and they filled the room. They made me feel completely safe during a terrifying moment. When I calmed down they went out and flickered like they’d been barely holding on.

I’ve always been extremely sensitive to other people’s emotions and energy, to the point where I feel sick all night if someone has bad energy.

What does this sound like? I’ve been told I have medium abilities and that I need to “tap into it,” but I’m hesitant to explore it because I don’t want to open myself up to anything negative since I’m so sensitive.

For the longest time, since I was about a teenager I have noticed this feeling I get when I have thoughts about spirit or certain what I’ll call “truths”. For example I may talk to my loved ones who have passed on my head and I’ll start to feel this feeling of tingling that starts at the top of my head and radiates downward and through my chest and it’ll keep doing that for awhile. Or if I think about the spirit world and what I am at my core it’ll happen.

This also happens when I communicate with my spirit guides (just me talking at them in my head)

I’ve been told my other mediums that I have a strong intuition and to trust it more. I haven’t been able to exactly name what it is, and I just want to understand exactly what it is so I can lean into it more and understand.

For my entire life I've had dreams about people that came true. When I was a teenager I had a dream that someone I knew was going to the lake with her family and she was going to be killed on a red inner tube. I was freaking out so I had my mom call her mom just to tell her in case. Turns out they were going to the lake that same day and were planning on using a red inner tube. All of the details in my dream matched perfectly. They ended up changing their plans. Another time I was at the pool with one of my friends and she said, "watch this!" And she started to climb up the diving board. I got like a vision or something I don't know what it was but I could see a flash of what was going to happen. I could see her jumping off of the diving board and hitting her head straight onto the corner of it. I told her to not do it but she didn't listen, and ended up banging her head in the exact same spot that I saw it happen in. The same injury. Other things I've had is where when I'm going to sleep or getting ready to I start to hear voices and people talking. Like regular conversations. It always sounded like a radio was playing on my dresser across the room, so I woke my husband up and asked him if he heard anything. He said he didn't hear anything and that the room was silent. I got up and went and checked, and there wasn't anything on. But the sounds didn't stop. Other times I'd be going to bed (again) and I would start hearing music out of nowhere. Sometimes it was quieter but never blaring loud, but it always sounded close to my ear. Almost like it was playing from my dresser. It was beautiful music but sometimes sounded like a wind up music box. I don't know the exact genre of music but what I feel is that maybe it was country? But the 30s-40s kind of music. I'm not sure, maybe an old radio. The last time I heard that was a couple of weeks ago when I was going to sleep. It just starts out of nowhere. But I always try to block it out and not listen because it scares me.
Recently I've been hearing other things like quiet whispers of my name over and over again to the point where I thought it was my daughter calling me. I turned around but I was alone and no one was there.
Then I swear out of the corner of my eye it'll look like a shadow is there, I turn around but there's nothing. It looks like an iridescent light shadowy thing moving.
Or maybe dark? I don't know how to explain it.
A few years ago when I was getting ready to go out to dinner, I was alone and I heard a man speak to me. I know that sounds crazy but the voice was so loud and clear and whatever it was said my name. I can’t remember what was said but I freaked out.

I also have very very strong intuitive feelings about people and places. Whenever I meet someone new I can immediately feel their energy. Sometimes it's stronger than others and sometimes it's good energy where I can feel that they're loving people. But most people l've come across I've felt horrible energy that makes me feel sick all over. I've been getting that a lot where I leave feeling sick to my stomach and the entire night I can't recover from it because it's such a strong bad feeling. But it eventually goes away.
I have also been having lots of ringing in my ears.
Could be tinnitus which I originally thought, but apparently it could be something to do with all of this?
I'm not sure. It's been doing it more and more often now where it'll ring out of nowhere for a couple of seconds, maybe a minute then it'll stop. My daughter has been having this too. We met someone where we both felt they didn't have good energy and our ears started ringing during the conversation. Could be unrelated but I wanted to mention that. Whenever I drive by a car accident I get a sudden wave of pain, almost like what the person in the accident would be feeling. My daughter and I get an intense headache and pain in different parts of our bodies, then later we find out that that's where the people in the accident were injured. A couple of years back my daughter had a dream that my dad was going to fall on his knees on specifically a white floor with bright lights and he was going to be very hurt. Less than a week later he was at the grocery store (which had bright lights and white floors) and he dropped straight down onto his knees because he was having a stroke. He almost died and was in the hospital for weeks. She's had lots of other dreams that ended up coming true as well or something in them that had a detail she needed to know. My daughter had a dream about my grandmother (her great grandma) who passed away years ago but we were all very close with. In her dream we were all at a house and when she gave the details of what it looked like I realized that was her house from when I was a little girl that my daughter wouldn't remember much from. It got demolished years ago. She said she saw her but she was so much younger, her hair was kind of curly but short and brown. She said it looked like she had hair that was like invisible or see through hanging down at the bottom of it. A couple of months ago, my daughter had dim lights above her bed.
A person with very bad energy who isn’t nice came into her room, and she felt pretty scared and was upset. She told me she remembered thinking, “just focus on your breathing and tune it out. Just listen to the sound of your breathing.”
While he was in the room, the lights above her head suddenly turned bright white. Not just a little brighter, but extremely bright, lighting up the whole room like a white star. It almost looked like a surge of energy. The lights just suddenly turned super bright, like a glowing white light. Most of them were above her, with one or two above me since they were on her headboard. They kept getting brighter and brighter, almost like they were going to explode. I actually thought that for a second because of how bright they were getting.
When he left after about five minutes, I turned and saw how bright they were. The lights stayed that bright for a few minutes after he left, and we both felt this calm, safe feeling all over us and in the room. It felt like we were in a safe Christmas bubble or something. It's hard to explain, but it felt very safe, like we were being protected.
Almost like a hug.
After that one or two of the lights started to flicker and then shut off completely, like they couldn't hold on anymore. Then, as she started to calm down, they all went black.
I’m sorry the message is so long, I just wanted to put as much information as I could. What does this sound like and does anyone have anything similar to this? I’ve had my cards read a couple of years ago and each time I was told that I had some sort of abilities but wouldn’t tell me what. They said I needed to figure it out and that I have a lot of psychic abilities or that I was a medium or something. I can’t remember because it was a couple of years ago. But they said that people were all around me in a good way and that I just had to tap into my abilities but I never wanted to because it scared me. I’ve been having the worst “doom and gloom” feeling over the past couple of weeks and it’s coming off and on but it’s getting more frequent. It could be something else but is that something related to any of this? It feels like the more that I’ve been talking about all of this going on the feeling has been getting worse.
