OCT 7th is my last day of a 2 year probation ILC, NEVER AGAIN.

How is this possible?????

i have been on probation for about a year and a half and i’ve had my medical card since i was 18 im 20 now. i hadn’t really smoked really much until somewhat recently because my anxiety has been thru the roof. i have a valid medical marijuana card and am wondering how i’d go about talking to my po about it. i live in michigan and they did just pass a new law but im not sure i just have fines to pay nothing else. any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. stay safe!

I was supposed to have an over the phone check in with my parole officer I called him and he didn’t answer or call me back I’m kind of worried it’s gonna go as me missing my appointment

So I was arrested in February and have been out on bond while my lawyer was working out getting me to do pre-trial intervention. She told me in the meantime to enroll in an IOP program which I did about 3 weeks ago now. I have failed my drug tests at the IOP and my official probation date has now been set and I meet with my PO on the 29th of this month. My IOP has moved me into a higher level of care and i think I should pass my first drug test when I meet with my PO. Will my failed tests from before put me in jail? I got a first time offense felony drug charge under a gram in Harris County Texas.

I am doing a 2 year deferred judgement on a case out of Denver, CO. It’s been 6 months and I’ve completed everything the court has asked of me, paid all fines, been fully compliant, am mark as low risk, see my PO once every 60 days, have passed all UAs. Basically I’m a dream client for a probation officer.

I’d like to have my lawyer file a motion with the court to request that I be placed on unsupervised / non reporting status.

For those with cases in Colorado, specifically Denver if possible, what was unsupervised / non reporting status like for you? Did you have to get permission to travel? Could you move to another state w/o going through an interstate compact? How much more freedom does it allow?

I want to move to the east coast to be with my boyfriend and I’m hoping that being placed on unsupervised will make that possible instead of having to go through an interstate compact.

Kansas Diversion…First UA Question

I have a lawyer but he won’t answer this for some reason. I got my first DRUG DUI, I blew under limit but cop thought I was high on weed, so he gave me Drug DUI(Marijuana).

fast forward 1 year to yesterday, I just took my DUI agreement to court and officially started my Diversion. I haven’t had my first UA or even spoke to my officer yet. **Will I be able to piss dirty on my first UA?** I see a lot of people say the first one is a baseline, and I see a lot of people say the opposite and that I will be violated. My girlfriend lives in Missouri so that time I’ve been over there before starting my diversion I’ve been legally smoking weed.

I am officially on diversion as of today and will NOT be consuming anything for a year.

My guess is to just be honest with my officer BEFORE my first test.

Was placed on felony probation FL for Grand Theft x2 (felony shoplifting) 4 years with 1 year early termination. I got through a year and had a few technical VOPs for not paying fines and restitution etc. Then got arrested for similar crimes (misdemeanor crime), then just left the state (no out of state extradition clause). Since then I’ve gotten about a dozen new arrests (almost all driving while suspended, no felonies, a few misdemeanor shoplifting arrests in other states).

My most recent paperwork has my PO saying I left the state in 2021 and asked the court for 4-10yrs.

Months before my arrest I almost died in a car accident (major TBI traumatic-brain-injury) and was in bad shape medically. I was also on a scholarship in school a semester from graduating. Will any of that help in probation court? I plan on getting a lawyer before I go back.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Everything has been about what I expected. Hard to find jobs, can’t have guns, peeing in cups, all the usual stuff

Not being able to travel freely has been the worst part for me. But I wanna know other people’s takes too. How has life on papers been (or “was” for those who are off papers)

Got a call today (in Nv) was told I would no longer be reporting to my PO I asked why and they said I am low risk so I will check in every 90 days at the office with a specialist. I got 3 years but I’m on my 3rd month going on 4th so I’m kind of surprised, but I’ve been paying on time for a job and did everything the court asked (payed restitution, did evaluations.) idk how different it would be my PO saw me once.

I would not believe it if someone tried to tell me this story, but alas, this is my real life.

I take multiple tests a week. and I haven't used anything in over 6 months. Last week I went on a big kick of eating everything bagels with cream cheese and a ton of everything bagel seasoning on top. I ate maybe 4-5 bagels within a couple days. Took a UA, popped for morphine??? I was like hell nah send that shit to the lab, and I did indeed hit dirty for Codeine (?!??!) it can pick it up at 175 nanograms, and I hit for 214 nanograms.

So that happened. I've never failed for that before in my life, and it was such a small positive that they do believe me and I'm not in any trouble but now I can't have delicious everything bagel seasoning 😭

Just wanted to share that this apparently can indeed happen. I thought you had to eat like an insane amount of poppyseeds for this to happen but I guess not. Let me know if anyone else has genuinely experienced this?!

My probation officer is switching me to call ins instead. Is that a good thing?

Looking for insight on early probation dismissal in California. I am twenty-two years old and currently on a two-year felony probation term (April 2026 to April 2028). I originally had deferred adjudication for a 2024 DUI and felony evading charge, but I ruined it seven months in by getting a second alcohol arrest. Immediately after that second DUI, I voluntarily did rehab, started AA, and got a breathalyzer. I still had to serve forty-five days in jail for the violation, but since my release, I have maintained all of that progress, got a full-time HVAC installation job, and am doing online college.
My attorney mentioned there is still a chance for early dismissal after one year if I keep this up. Given that I already messed up probation once but have completely turned things around, is early termination actually realistic for a California felony? I am hesitant to ask my attorney or PO yet because I do not want to look like I am dodging accountability. However, the random testing and travel restrictions are seriously hurting my reliability at work since we frequently do out-of-county HVAC jobs. Any insight on how early dismissal works here or when to bring it up would be great.

Hey y’all, so I’ve been on probation in Texas for a deferred DWI for a while now. I’ve never once blown hot, popped hot, I completed all of my community service, dwi course, make all my monthly appointments with my probation officer and pay all my fees monthly. Well I missed my appointment for a calibration on my interlock like over a week ago because money has been really tight for my wife and I so I haven’t touched the car since it locked out. I’m about to take it in tomorrow for calibration. Am I screwed or are they pretty understanding with this sort of thing?

I got 4 years left of state paper in Montana and am looking to move to Florida, (interstate compact) I have two friends there and theyre willing to say they are family etc doesn't matter how far they have to go, I work in ND in the oilfield and make $200k a year and am able to keep my job (fly back and forth for 28 days on 14 off), my po seemed super supportive of the idea and down to do it, will Florida actually meet "said family" or how far do they investigate that on there end ?

I’m curious how people would view this situation. I finished a 2-year probation sentence and the probation case is officially closed. But while on probation I caught a new case, and that case was resolved through a deferred agreement where I have to stay out of trouble for another year or face consequences.

Technically I’m no longer on probation, but still have court-imposed conditions hanging over my head.

Would you consider me a “free” person now because I’m off probation?

For those who have been through probation, did the day you got off probation actually lift a huge weight off your shoulders, or did it not feel real until you were completely done with all court obligations?

I’m glad I didn’t accept the first deal offered to me. I was on bond since 2021 and didn’t accept my deal until August 2025. As of July 2026 I’ve been off and I’m not a felon! First deal offered to me was 1 year in prison w/ 9 years probation. 2nd deal was 10 years probation straight with a BID of 3 yr. 3rd deal was 7 years probation with a BID of 2 yr. Day of trial they offered me 5 years probation with a BID of 1 year. I accepted it and after 11 months I’m a free man!! I was on felony probation. Luckily I had a cool PO that I only seen 2 times out of 11 months. I only got drug tested 1 time. The judge sealed my record so it can’t be seen unless I apply for a government job. And my rights have been restored so I can get a firearm now!!

After your sentencing , how fast do you have to meet with the PO? Will they drug test on the first appt?

so, my bf (28M) received his 1st DUI in January 2026. i bailed him out bc he said he was going to rehabd, but he was sentenced to drug counseling n outpatient. well, he did groups through the HOPES program and has only had [3] dr appointments to get a buprenorphine shot, but never actually did the drug counseling/therapy. he told me he has been on the waiting list since March. he was also sentenced to take DUI classes and to get an interlock device installed in his car-which he did not do either of those. he has also had multiple dirty tests. please note this is over a 6-7 month time frame.

he was arrested last week due to a warrant that was apparently active since April 29 for non-compliance w/ drug counseling. neither of us knew about it despite him having a few run ins w/ the cops. they have him going to court this coming week for an order to show cause. his program sent over the 3 appointments he had, but that's all the information they have on him about this situation so.

i'm not really sure what he wanted me to ask this sub specifically, but i think i put down all the main info so somebody could give me feedback. i assume he wants to know his chances on being released. he is considering just doing the time as he doesn't want to be on supervision or deal w/ court bs. he's been in n out the system for 10yrs atp.

How do does PNP verify if said person in receiving state is actually family or do they at all? I know they talk to them but how far does it exactly go ?

I recently got put on virtual reporting. To be clear I’m not planning on using drugs just curious on how the testing process works on virtual ? Do they text or email you to come in randomly? Been on probation 4 months and been drug tested twice. Both times were at the in- person appointment.

I’ve been on house arrest since late June and things got messed up scheduling wise so my final court date got switched from July 16th to September 3rd.

I was on a full lockdown until Thursday, now between 2pm-5pm I have “free time” to walk dog grocery etc.

My situation is def not as bad as many but I’m kinda bummed out with the prospect of waiting till September. What are some good ways to keep your spirits up and self healthy during house arrest? I have a job, but I really miss hanging out with friends and they come by sometimes but yk not as often.

I’ve been playing the guitar a lot more which is good. It’s just pretty hard on the days I don’t work to get out of bed and get moving. A lot of the time I’ve been spending days on my phone, sucks. Just wanna feel less lonely and more productive
