I feel like I am not making use of the space that I have and that my room placement is actually prohibiting movement. If anyone has suggestions besides those issues, I really appreciate it.
[Prison is worth 550K right now]

For some reason my minimum security prisoners don't feel safe even though they have the best cells possible, cameras in almost every room and no armed guard nor snipers. I also moved the violent convicts to maximum security. I can't think of any other solution. Is it possible that it's just a bug? How do I fix it?

I’ve lowk got some creative block 😭 but give me some of your prisons that may be old, messy or made when you were a beginner and I will try and redesign them to be aesthetically pleasing and such!! (no hate tho, all prisons are wonderful 🫶) thank you

Anytime I try to start any program it simply tells me "Unscheduled" , although I have enough time available, security sectors are on shared and Prison Labour in all rooms is active.
I also tried restarting the games multiple times, but nothing worked..
Please for the love of God help me!

Paradox has been introducing bugs. I'm playing this month and
- prisoners start to die of overdose in infirmary beds;
- liquids in small pipes and hot water pipes flow only at >= level 2 of time acceleration.
I notice Steam still releases past anniversary versions. Which is still good?
Also go play Uplink if you haven't - fantastic game by Introversion.

Other than some slight decorative additions, I’d say it’s time to move on.

Like I said in the title I have 3 open positions in various inmate jobs like the library and the clothes cleaning room etc . But for some reason they don’t seem to take the jobs even though I have enough qualified for it . Anyways if u have an idea I would appreciate it . THX

Hi, I’m experiencing a bug on the console version of Prison Architect.
My prison has around 70 high-security prisoners. All needs are fulfilled, everyone has an assigned cell, and all cells meet the requirements.
However, during sleep time, none of the prisoners go to bed. They just keep walking around all night.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a fix?

I’m still decently new to the game, played on and off for a couple years, I decided to start playing again and my first project was going to be recreating the Terre Haute Federal Prison. I’ve worked on it for probably 9-10 hours and still don’t have prisoners, and am starting to lose interest in the project😭(Also on sandbox mode

80 of my 100 prisoners are in solitary.
Is that the cause of the oversupply?

I think it cause by mods, how did I solve it? I have use Ozone's mods.

Basically the title. From my understanding it is a known bug, and I have to use this mod (picture shown below) to fix the prisoners when they become frozen. However, I have reached 200 prisoners and it is becoming unbearable. They just get stuck, and this happens when they are in handcuffs, which usually ends in them starving to death if I do not free them.

An example of prisoners being stuck:

They just sit like ducks. This actually ruins the game for me. Please let me know if I can do anything else apart from just spam the mod.
Edit: Ending punishment does not even work, even though it would not be feasible anyhow

Is Second Chances supposed to work like this? (Xbox Console Edition)
I'm playing the Xbox One version of Prison Architect (Console Edition), and I'm a bit confused about how the Second Chances DLC is supposed to work.
I have multiple rehabilitation programs running, enough staff, enough work time in my regime, and prisoners are actually attending the programs. However, my Reform rating barely seems to improve, even after many in-game days. Is this normal, or am I missing something?
The other thing that really frustrates me is the reoffending penalty. I set parole to 0% reoffending chance, so I don't release anyone on parole unless they have essentially no predicted risk. I know that prisoners who have completed their full sentence will still be released automatically, but getting a $5,000 fine for every single prisoner who reoffends feels extremely harsh.
My prison currently only houses low-security inmates, and I'm already investing heavily in rehabilitation, so it feels like I'm being punished even when I'm doing everything the game encourages me to do.
Is this just how the DLC is balanced on the Xbox One version, or are there ways to reduce these penalties that I'm overlooking?

Does anyone know any good Steam layouts for playing prison architect on the ROG ally x?

Welcome to Happyland... which is also a hellhole...
This is my 2nd prison. I aimed for a capacity of 1000 inmates. Made a lot of mistakes, learned a lot & spent way too many hours on it :)
Upper left is for min- and med prisoners. I started with dormitory's but gave up after too many tunnels & riots in them. I still like dorm's but for max 4 prisoners. The main reason for this block is to have as much prisoners working the workshops as possible.
Upper right started initially for the family cells & nursery. I've added Protected Custody (since mom's hardly ever cause any trouble) and added minor sec's to do the jobs on that part (cleaning, cooking, laundry). This works pretty well. No need to keep the PC's fully separated.
Lower left, the biggest chunk, is max sec. I think those blocks are too big to keep fully under control. Initially this were also 2 big canteens...until the gangs kept fighting over there. I've removed the canteen room from the strip in the middle separating them into essentially 4 canteens. This seems to work but still not perfect. Also continuously assigning gang bangers to their own blocks ("you gotta keep 'm separated") is tedious... Would be nice if I could assign a gang to a block so the game assigns gang members to their dedicated blocks.
Lower right: Super Max. I've been playing with designs I found in this sub. Regular super max prisoners can be mixed and have group canteens / yards. It's the gang members & volatiles which are ... a pain. For space purposes I keep them by 2 or 4 with their private canteens/yards and the worst of the worst in their own. Still causing troubles but more manageable.
I also made a note to give the security room it's own dedicated powers supply and I've added sprinklers to all power supply's but have to make sure they're connected to 2 water supplies (in case the nearest gets disconnected due to a power surge). That prevents a lot of damage.
Despite my best efforts & lot's of free time I still have daily riots in all sectors (except upper right). The danger level just never goes down... I think that's the result of too many max & supermax & gang members
Roast me!

Does stacking wardens using the exploit where you sack them repeatedly while pausing still stack the effects if you hire in more than one of them in the latest patch?

I'm trying to assign this god damn legendary prisoner to a cell, but the game keeps changing who's assigned to the cell to random other prisoners of his same sec. Not sure how to take a screenshot of this as its kind of across the entire prison, but I can provide additional details if necessary. I have other empty max sec cells available, the game just keeps overriding my manual cell assignment for some reason.

This was my first attempt at making a prison from scratch. What do we think?

I’ve been trying to place a maroon remote door, just like in the rest of my Supermax cells for the past hour and nothing even happens. The workmen don’t even try to place it.
Here’s what I think the problem is:
The walls and doors menu says I have 1 in storage.
My storage room doesn’t show that I have 1.
What on earth is going on and why won’t it place the door and where is the 1 I own?

I just have no idea how to stop prisoners getting oranges as contraband. I’ve got dogs set up inside the restaurant and bakery, as well as outside the only exits of these rooms to sniff it on the inmates.
I don’t want to stop the inmates from working in these two rooms. How else can I stop the obscene amount of oranges getting past me?
