When I do oxidization removal, I prefer to use cleansol bc because it's always worked well for me. However I have a quote to prepare for approximately 30k sq ft of metal siding paint prep, and that would require a staggering amount of cleansol bc in my experience. With tsp substitute being far cheaper, and what this company that I will be paint prepping for prefers anyways, I'm thinking about giving it a try. That being said, I have questions since I never used it.

Can I mix it extra hot and downstream, or would it be best to batch mix and apply with a 12v pump?

Does anyone have any methods for creating on demand warm water for mixing on site, instead of having to find a mop sink to fill at? (It's a commercial property)

Once it's mixed, will the tsp stay as a solution even once the water cools off?

How does the performance compare between the two?

Anything else I should know about tsp, or alternative solutions for ox removal and paint prep?

Anyone work with these kind of window screens before? How do I move them? Most of them do not move. They are basically another window.

Hello just looking for opinions from professionals in the business. Have an opportunity to buy a franchise from someone with initial fees of around 30k and monthly royalties and marketing fund of 12% of revenue. We’ve only been shown a few jobs worth of data where margins were around 40%-60% but didn’t get to see a whole years balance sheet since they sold a franchise to anyone yet.

Is buying a franchise really worth it considering the 12% annual fee if they’re promising us to get clients and commercial contracts and training etc. The business is roughly 5 years old but we haven’t been able to get any official statements of their personal business and are told they don’t wanna show numbers to not set any expectations that we’ll be doing similar numbers ourselves.

I need a surface cleaner and I’m stuck between getting the 16 in or 20 in. It’s pretty expensive and I don’t want to outgrow the 16 in quickly and have to upgrade again but at the same time if the 20 doesn’t work efficiently with the 4gpm then I’ll get the 16. Any input would be great. Thanks

Paid a painter to pressure wash and stain a deck.

I had already pressure washed a corner of the deck to test a few colors before deciding, though I have a small machine and it was my second time using it so by no means an expert.

In the corner I washed, i noticed it had considerably less gray than what they did.

Did I do it wrong or did they not do a good job pressure washing the rest of it?

Pressure washed the deck still got some green in the wood from years of no love. Is there a treatment I can put on to kill what looks like algae/mildew?

I work at a car wash, so I deal with a lot of chemicals in my back room. Occasionally, chemicals leak and can stain the floor. I have tried pressure washing it with or without chemicals, and scrubbing with hot water and dawn dish soap before pressure washing. Unfortunately, nothing seems to help it. These chemicals that stain the floor are either really low or really high pH. I have silicone based tire shine stains. One day I accidentally spilled some hydraulic fluid for one of our pumps. Of course also the random rust stain from a dolly. Any advice is appreciated! Tired of losing out on site assessments from corporate.

Ok a couple quick questions I have not been able to find decent answers to.

First what do I need to wear when I am using chemicals. My main concern is bleach slashing on me. Should I wear pants, boots, long sleeves, gloves, glasses, and a respirator or is any of that total overkill?

Secondly I am looking into getting an x jet or a knock off that is similar. Is it worth shelling out the $180 and just knowing it’s gonna be quality or should I start with something cheaper and if so what should I get? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Finally any tips yall have for getting more jobs would be great(meta ads, door knocking, signs)

With this setup, could I expect to reach 35ft from the ground or would I have to try to get on a ladder and potentially go flying off backwards like an idiot? I was looking into buying a dedicated softwash setup, but it would be a bit silly for me because I would only use it once every few years for cleaning the side of the house, hence why I feel like for me it's either I rent the pressure washer from Home Depot or pay for someone to come and clean the side of the house.

This underground was pressure washed and then line painted next morning. There is poor ventilation in the garage, so the ground was still somewhat wet when lines were painted. The customer has complained about the white patches. Degreaser was dumped in certain spots to work on grease after some water, and brushed in. However, the pressure washing should have removed all the soap. Also, there are no drains in the garage so water was removed using an auto scrubber wherever it was pooling. After it all dried, there are white patches, even on top of the lines that were painted after the washing. What can this be? Quick discussion with Claude pointed to efflorescence, soap residue, or surface damage. Please help!

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you’re all well. I just have a couple of quick questions.

I have a 15 year old son who is trying to start up a little bit of a side hustle with a pressure washer he was gifted a few months back. We are in the Deep South in a, sort of, semi-rural area. One of our neighbors has asked about his services, and I just wanted to try and get a general idea as to what the going rate is for something of that nature.

The driveway that they want pressure washed is roughly 20’x90’. They have a bit of sealant that was spilled on one part of the driveway that they want to remove if that is possible. My questions are:

What would one (not a fully formed company/llc..just a kid trying to make a buy if money) normally charge for this type of work, and is it possible to remove that sealant that was spilled on the driveway? If so, what are your recommendations to remove it?

The Before and the After. I used Oil Eater, scrubbed with a Deck Brush, let sit 20 minutes. Did this twice, I am not satisfied with this at all, can't imagine a customer would be. (Unpaid practice job for family)

I have a 10 building/66 unit job this week and I'll be down streaming the whole project. I had some extra cash and decided to try the switch a while back, but it was awkward with the extension. I pulled it off and ran the 0040 straight into the block and left the 2540 on the quick connect. The quick connect on the gun was still a bit wobbly so I got a m2m adapter.

I'm hoping this is as easy to use as I think and saves me time from switching between tips on a jrod.

Hey I have a exterior (pressure washing) company i just started in Colorado. I didnt just base it on pressure washing due to there not really being a lot of mold etc here to sell for. But there are a lot of nasty driveways due to oil, tread marks and more. I also will transition into snow removal/christmas light installation during winter. But i am having a horrible time getting my first clients. door knocking doesnt yield much luck, cold calling does okay but still not the best and i went and talked with local shops/strip malls in my area and having hard time getting in front of a decision maker. A lot of my issues I know are because my skills at selling arent the strongest but i donyt have work to show yet either any help or tips?

(P.S. i work a day job 6am to 6pm too so my time avalable is limited for now and budget is pretty low so I am prepared to use deposits to rent for that job or buy a used machine to get rolling)
