We regularly play at football pitch near gymnastic hall of TJ Bohemians in Slovenská in Vinohrady.

Unfortunately due to some injuries we're lacking players at the moment, so if you'd like to join feel free to answer in this thread or drop me a PM for more details.

We rented this pitch until the end of August, but most likely we'll have it extended until the end of the year.

Usually we're about 8-10 people but as previously mentioned lately due to unexpected injuries/events sometimes less. Majority of the team are local lads, but we don't mind speaking english.

I am planning to visit Český ráj on Saturday as a day trip from my home base in Prague. I am going to book train tickets to Turnov, but cannot find much information on what to do once I arrive there. I will not be able to use a car, and I was wondering the best way to get around. I am a big fan of Kingdom Come Deliverance, and want to see Trosky Castle, Rybník Věžák, and the Prachov Rocks. Do you think I would be able to reliably use Uber/Bolt, or are there local busses that might be a better option?

I've been living in the Czech Republic for over five years, and I feel like alcohol has slowly become a normal part of my routine.

I usually drink 3–4 days a week. On weekdays, I'll have around 5–6 beers on one or two evenings, and on weekends it's usually 6–7 beers on one or two days. I know that's more than I'd like, and I've been trying to cut back.

The problem is that beer is everywhere here. As soon as I leave my apartment, I see people sitting outside having beers, and it somehow makes it much harder to say no. I know that's ultimately on me, but the environment definitely doesn't help.

I work out 4–5 times a week and stay in decent shape, so from the outside I probably don't look like someone who's drinking too much.

I think the bigger issue is that I'm 29, live alone, and don't have a partner or family here. After work, I often get bored, and grabbing a few beers feels like the easiest way to make the evening more enjoyable. Before I know it, a few beers turns into six.

Has anyone else fallen into this kind of habit? If you managed to cut back, what actually made the difference?

hello everyone , 2 weeks ago i was attacked by a drunk man, got punched in the face, i do not know him n i did not even speak to him, at dlouha , unfortunately he ran away after punching me , i went to the hospital just to get a quick check up, everything was okay but i had a black eye for 2 weeks

now insurance is asking questions…first time this happens, i would not like to pay for smth that i did not cause, these r the questions they asked

Both good and bad are recent as well as older. So to be honest im not sure if ecolines are a good idea..

I spent a few days exploring Prague and had an amazing time. The architecture, history, and atmosphere were incredible.

Front doors are usually the only space for strollers. Very often we enter with my 2 year old and there is plenty other people entering through the same doors while the rest of the tram is half empty. And when I enter, we often get looks "ah stroller again". Unlike us you have literally the whole tram just for yourself and you cannot enter any other part? What is this obsession with front door?

I'm traveling to Prague this weekend, and I have a question for you locals: where and in which cocktail bars can I get a basic Vodka Martini? I know it's a trivial question, but I've been looking at the menus of restaurants&bars and I haven't seen this basic cocktail listed barely anywhere.

In my country, it's usually listed on the drinks menu, so now I'm a but confused. Probably many places would prepare it for my special request, but I'd like to be sure. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Our family recently visited Prague, and overall we had a lovely trip. The city is beautiful, full of history, and we really enjoyed exploring it.

However, one aspect of our experience left us disappointed. Throughout our stay, we had several interactions with locals that came across as rude and unkind, particularly in situations where tourists were simply trying to understand the rules or ask for help. Instead of receiving a brief explanation, we were often met with an unfriendly attitude that made us feel unwelcome.

One moment that stood out was when my sister was having her bag checked by a security guard. She was confused about an issue with the handle of her bag, but instead of explaining what was wrong, he immediately raised his voice at her in front of everyone. It was uncomfortable to witness, and even some of the people nearby seemed surprised by the way the situation was handled. This happened at the airport, right before our bags were checked through the scanner.

Sadly, after sharing our experience with others and reading similar stories, it seems that ours was not an isolated case. I am genuinely curious to understand why some interactions with locals can come across as so rude and unkind toward tourists. At some point, I even found myself wondering whether this is simply a cultural difference or if some people are intentionally being unwelcoming/rude.

My friend and I are photographers looking for the most liminal places in or around Prague to shoot. By liminal, I mean places with an eerie, empty, nostalgic, or uneasy atmosphere. Anything that gives off that unsettling feeling. Any recommendations?

Has anyone here drove to Krakow before? Realistically, how long is the drive? We are planning on driving from Prague to Auschwitz and then from Auschwitz to Krakow for a few days on our 2 week long trip in October. We plan on getting on the road by 4-4:15am. We are trying to plan accordingly and buy our tickets in advance, but want to maximize our time in Krakow on the first day. We do a lot of driving here in the US, and 4-6 hours is nothing to us. However, I don’t want to miss our reservation time.

I’m a very experienced driver, but what should I expect on the drive there? Are the roads super well lit? We plan on going the fastest route according to Google Maps or Waze.
